I know there are some fans of Tanaka on this forum so I decided to make a thread about him returning to the US.

In all honesty, I can’t say I’m a huge Tanaka fan…but I have seen some matches and he’s pretty entertaining. It would be pretty cool if WWE or TNA decided to hire him. I know he’s 36 years old now, but he could still be a great addition to either roster. He would probably a better addition to the TNA roster than the WWE roster.

What are your thoughts on Tanaka returning to the US? And would you like to see him join TNA, WWE, or maybe even ROH?

I loved Tanaka...But, I'm worried it'll suck. Japanese wrestlers are known for having long careers, and he's always been a guy to take a million bumps and bounce back. But, he is old, and he's not exactly "well known" among casual fans. He's close to Philly, so there will be a turnout, which is always good.

Facing Homicide though...I don't know. He fights a fast paced style, and I'm not sure Tanaka could keep up. Should be interesting, and I'm sure I'll YouTube it eventually.

God damnit, IC and D-Man better get their fucking asses to that show, because I want pictures. And video. And to be there. I'm a huge Masato Tanaka mark, and have been for years. To this day the guy continues to put on great matches in the ring, despite the incredible damage he's inflicted on his body. After FMW fell it was harder and harder to get my hands on his work, but his recent return to NJPW was great news, although a bit underwhelming considering how he's been used.

Seriously, IC, D-Man, get your Jersey asses to this show and video tape it. Please.

I'm a huge Mike Awesome fan and I got to love Masato. That man took some of the craziest chair shots and I would love to at least see him as part of the Jay Lethal invitational in a hardcore match. At ONS 2005 he showed he could still deliver and at 36 he might still have some left in him. But he's taking a lot of bumps in the years so we shall see

He's only 36? Holy fuck...That changes everything I thought/said. He was always a hard worker, and took lots of bumps, but as I stated previously, Japanese wrestlers are known for their longevity. 36 for him is a lot more like 30 for American guys.

I'm pretty sure he'll be fine against Homicide, and probably take him to extremes he didn't know he had...I'm with X - IC and D-Man better send some pics of this.

This is awesome I hope he can make a appearance or two for Ring of Honor or at least signed with tna. I think he can befit for either company. Homicide vs Tanaka should be a great match the promo on youtube where Homicide called him out is better then his tna stuff.

Tna should sign this guy or wwe well maybe not wwe but roh or someone he awesome.
