Wassup MvC fans...
I could've sworn a few months ago I saw a thread on MUGEN but i was unable to find it...
Anyway, long story short... somebody was able to "hack" the "fight engine" that powered games like Street Fighter 2-3, Street Fighter Alpha, Mortal Kombat, Darkstalkers, Guilty Gear, Marvel vs Capcom(MvC)...... etc, etc. If its a fighting game.....the characters are in there.
The best part is that there are characters made (in capcom style) that were never imagined. Players such as Ghost Rider, Thor, DEADPOOL, Peter Griffin, Homer, The Big Chicken, Krusty, etc, etc.
Way it works is you download the engine itself from one of many sites... usually called WinMugen.... and then its up to you to find the characters you want to plug in....
Honestly, (and my gf hates it), I have not played Xbox 360 since starting this project cause in essence, you create your own game. You choose the background levels, the music, etc. Completely ridiculous.
Oh... and for us wrasslin fans out there.... I have a rey mysterio jr char that someone made, that no matter what the level looks like, ropes appear out of no where, and either you get speared by Goldberg, 3 amigos by Eddi G(RIP), or do an ill 619 capcom style!
Apparently this thing has been around for a while but we're a dieing breed. If anyone's interested in getting the first version I've made (trust me.... SICK!)
please email at jamesjd66@hotmail.com... Its well worth it, just make sure you buy a controller from your local game store that is similar to the PS2 controller(USB obviously).... I hope some of you take interest... this is pure crack!!!!!
