Make Piper a GM

Pre-Show Stalwart
Piper is amazing on the mic, his promo with Jericho on Monday was terrific. I forgot what an amazing mic worker Piper was, can you imagine the chemistry and potential feuds between him and wrestlers like Cena or Edge if he was to become general manager. He would bring a new lease of life to Raw in my opinion, and could be the perfect guy to freshen it up abit after the draft. What do you think, could Piper bring some excitement to Raw, or do you think there are better options for the job?

Yes, I have actually said this myself. Piper was always great on the mic, and his storytelling seems so real, kind of weird. GM of RAW would be nice, or any show for that matter. I hope the WWE does give him more of an on air role because he isnt much of a gimmick anymore, and I like that. He seems like he can help make wrestling seem more serious.

i dont think he should be a gm well at least at this moment anyway with the current storyline with randy orton triple h and the boss there is not way piper would be a gm now and beside he is that storyline with jericho but in do time i would not mind him being a ecw commentator and replace todd grishmer they would be a good commentatory team or add a 3rd commentatory to ecw

Piper would be awesome as GM.. but it will never happen flat out..hes great on the mic and he can still work in the ring and plus hes way over with the fans and he always draws but WWE just doesn't need him at this present time. But i would love to see hot rod back in the WWE in some role but time willl tell

if he is going to be a GM, then it would probably be somewhere after wrestlemania to make y2j's life a "living hell". maybe in revenge for him bashing him at wrestlmania?
jericho should win!

I was just thinking about this the other day!
He should come in as Raw GM while Steph is out, and try to screw over Jericho as much as possible... That would be great XD
He obviously has all the skills.... I.e. he can talk well. So why not?

Piper would be a GREAT GM, but is now the time? Its all opinion.

One thing, however, is that he wouldn't be able to physically participate in matches or work in the ring much, as he is old and his body is torn 2 shreds. All he could really be used for is a mic man.

This might sound stupid, but. What is Piper, Flair, ect...started there own faction? They could take control of the company and start a war with 2nd 3rd generation superstars......nah, won't happen. To anwser your question, yes, they should make piper GM. Hell, he hasn't wrestled for awhile, and STILL gets a great pop from the fans. Shit, for whatever reason the KIDS cheer for him...even if they don't know who he is.....They just hate Jericho that much.

I think this would be a fantastic idea! The did it with Austin back about 6 years ago and it worked out rather well. The only thing I would change fromt hat scenario is that Piper should run Raw by himself, not be a co-GM. He clearly has the mic skills for the job, as seen last week when he confronted Jericho. Plus, he did a pretty good job as WWF President back in the mid 90's. I'm just saying.

Piper as a GM would be good I think, once the Orton v. McMahon story plays its way out. However depending on where HHH ends up, it might end up a long-term idea.

Piper as an ECW Commentator is intriguing but won't happen for one reason. If Vince offered it, Piper would assume it as an insult and spit in Vince's face. It's like asking somebody to write a report on the garbage in your neighbor's can. Maybe there's a pregnancy test for gossip, but otherwise it's just trash.

piper would be an ok gm but HOGAN would be better i mean he can still draw as much as he use to and we all know how much that is he filled up the pontiac silver dome remember and created the greast force in wrestling histroy THE NWO and i mean really who would not want to see the GREATEST OF ALL TIME PERIOD!!!!!! HULK HOGAN

I could see it working but i doubt it will happen. That promo he made last week shows he's still got it, but he might be too far removed for the younger fans to appreciate. I'd love it personally, as long as Piper doesn't get physically involved with others. He was commissioner 13 years ago, so I don't see why he couldn't do it now. I like it.
