Magnus' Ace In The Hole

Most of us say Magnus winning. But when the match was made a Submission match, the question was just how the hell? Well Lockdown provided the answer. As Samoa Joe dominated his former MEM partner and rival, a familiar hand popped out from under the ring to drag the Samoan Submission Machine down to hell. Though that still wasn't enough and Joe came right back out, with none other than "The Monster" Abyss hanging from the leg. Abyss hit Joe with Janice and a Koquina Clutch finished off the unconscious Joe.

With Dixie paying more attention to MVP and neglecting Magnus', him going on his own to get his own insurance policy made perfect sense. But the question right now is if Magnus will just act alone with Abyss or they'll try to get Dixie back on track. Bottom line though, who can stop this Deadly Alliance?

Although I wanted a simplified ending, this did surprise me and leaves me with a lot of interesting questions! I love how they instantly launched Abyss into a big storyline! Exactly what he needs to maintain this momentum! Also looking forward to a potential brutal Joe & Abyss feud!

They need to play the Joe / Abyss angle like they did back in ECW days. Don't have these guys touch or anything, just keep building and building the feud into one block buster match. No gimmicks, just straight up beat the hell out of each other.

Abyss vs Joe in monster's ball at Sacrifice is what i want to see! and I bet MVP ends up taking the title at the same ppv.

I really dig the alliance, as it finally gives Magnus the kind of insurance policy that looks like it could actually kill him. Great as Spud has been, he's four-foot-nothing and isn't exactly intimidating anyone any time soon.

The way this all played out was rough, though. Just really, really awkward, and the crowd (which absolutely sucked, by the way) wasn't feeling it either.

Didn't really enjoy how it played out, I'm pretty over Abyss at this point, but I think we all knew Joe was getting screwed in this match somehow and with the cage in play they had to come up with something.

Joe vs Abyss certainly has a lot of potential for a war or two between them. Though I was hoping, given that I had assumed Joe was getting screwed, that he'd then get another shot where MVP would basically enforce a clean match.

and if those two are now going to battle it out, who goes after the title? maybe Gunner gets another shot given he, at least storyline wise, "deserves" another shot. There's not many top faces to go around at the moment. Anderson maybe?

For me, it's made Abyss relevant again & a feud with Joe will occupy the two near the top of the card while Anderson, Willow or MVP go for the Title.

Kind of sucked that it happened on a big ppv, where I dont think a screwy finish should happen. Would be a perfect time to bring the us title back.

The US title never existed in TNA ... the hell are you talking about?

And you're right, screwy finishes shouldn't happen on PPV. Writers should think of creative finishes for free television because that makes more sense. Don't bother with trying something different for one of the few PPVs you have. Just do regular things, don't make them memorable, turn them into iMPACT Lite, I'm sure fans won't find a way to bitch about it. They're reasonable folk.

If they do screwy finishes on PPV we all know people will never ever buy another PPV again because they did a screwy finish on PPV before.

Some people, man ....

I think he meant the tv title. Last I remember it's wallowing on that fat pile of nothing Abyss. The tv title would be great on a Gunner or EC3. Why it's being wasted on that nothing Abyss makes me shake my head.
