I watch Tough Enough every week, and he stands out a lot to me every single week, but I can also picture him being a good heel later on. He has that arrogant "I'm better than you" attitude which can do really good and has been a good way to generate heat in the past for superstars.

Even if he doesn't win the competition, I am very positive that he will be signed to FCW and definitely work his way to the main roster probably sooner than anybody else on the show.

Does anybody else think he has a good future ahead in the WWE, and as a heel too?

Please keep this out of the Tough Enough thread since this is about a specific competitor on the show and about his WWE future

I've been saying since I think the second episode that I'm expecting Luke to win, and even if he doesn't, he's gonna get signed. I think he has the "look" that WWE likes and seems to have the potential to be charismatic enough to really become something in WWE.

Luke is my personal favorite on this season's Tough Enough. He's got great talent for someone that's so green, he's a natural. In my opinion, he reminds me of a young Randy Orton. In fact, everytime I see him, I'm reminded of Randy Orton's former legend killer gimmick. That gimmick was a great way for any young heel to get over. I'm not saying he should go around calling himself the legend killer but somewhat model himself after Randy Orton. He has potential, and if anyone wins, it should be him. He's got a huge ego and anyone can see that anytime the camera hits him. He's a pretty boy with a lot of talent. In my opinoin, he'd make a phenomenal heel.

I agree with you 100% Hamler, I see a young Randy Orton in him as well, it was that persona for Orton that got me a fan instantly and made him one of my favorite superstars of all time. I'm not saying Luke will ever become that big, but it would not be bad for his career to have a character similar to the Legend Killer.

I'd expect him to win and he's easily the best in the competition but, and this is totally personal, the boy just rubs me the wrong way. He's far to arrogant for someone thats achieved nothing. It will just take him mouthing off or acting like that to the wrong guy in the locker room and he's gonna get himself in trouble.

I have to agree that Luke will win the Tough Enough competition in all likelyhood. I say this not just because he seems to have the full package of ability and conditioning, but just because of how the episodes have been edited together. We are constantly seeing footage of most of the Tough Enough contestants messing up, whereas whenever we see Luke, he's doing whatever it is right or at least better than the others.

I agree that the heel persona would probably suit him most naturally. His, shall we say...ego would pretty much make that a given. Don't get me wrong, a pro wrestler has got to have a massive ego in order to pull off the over the top posturing necessary, but I think he's going to have some harsh lessons to learn if he takes that ego straight into a WWE locker room. Just sayin'...

Disagreed, I consider Luke to be a Matt Striker knock off... Hell he looks just like Striker they could be twin brothers... besides I dont think Luke has the chrisma that people claim... To me he comes off like a cocky high school football quarterback who takes all the credit for the team who made him great... If he wins it is all me, me, me... If they lose it is everyone elses fault but his own...

Sure his pompus attitude might seem like a great heel persona but it has been done over and over and there is currently an up and comer who had that attitude already going who is 1000 times better then Luke ever will be... Can we say Alex Riley or we could take the already established star who currenly has that gimmick, a guy known simply as The Miz...

Plus I get the vibe that Luke has the attitude I am just better so give everything to me anyway... See people who had that attitude in front of the camera in the past; guys like Flair, Mr. Perfect, Kurt Angle, Paul Orndorff, Jericho, even Miz understand it is simply a gimmick and behind scenes and to the public these guys were very friendly and respectful to both peers & fans... I truly think Luke thinks he is above everyone including trainers, superstars, & the fans... I so wanna see the Matt Striker look alike elminated and soon...

I really would love to see Andy win, if not Andy then I would like to see Martin who has by far been the best on the show thus far

Luke definitely has potential. Unfortunately, the thing that gives him so much potential could also keep him from reaching it. His attitude. Yes, he makes a great heel...but if he really is that arrogant, he's going to have a lot of problems. Because first of all, he's going to rub everybody backstage the wrong way. And if you don't have friends, you're not going anywhere. Secondly, it's just like Stone Cold said about him, he needs to find a way to stay motivated every single day. He might be able to stand out just by coasting on Tough Enough, but that's not going to work in FCW, let alone WWE. Will he be able to do that, when he's constantly telling himself how great he is? So it all comes down to how much of what we see is really him, and how much is an act. The more of it that's an act, the better off he'll be.

But yeah, he's definitely going to be signed to FCW, no matter where he finishes...but I think just about everybody on the show will, so that's not saying much.

I think he can be, but I think he WILL be a great waste of talent when he gets Future Endeavored for having a TERRIBLE attitude. Maybe he'll be a good heel in TNA though...

Estly I think he'll go to fcw for sure but I think in the long run Alex Riley may wanna be a miz and i see him being the "personal servent"Im looking forward to him showing up for sure though.

usually guys who don't win still make it to the roster if they show potential so one way or another we will see this guy. If his attitude is just for the cameras then he will be a huge success, if he really is this big douchebag he will still see some success but will find it very difficult to get anywhere when established superstars hate his ass too. He's getting away with being the prick because this cast hasn't been the strongest and he's the only one in shape, but when he's out of his league going against guys like Cena and CM Punk or whoever he faces he better check that attitude or head back to gay porn or whatever it is he was doing as Bos mentioned.

He would make a good heel with his attitude on-screen, yes. But from what I've seen on Tough Enough so far it looks as if his attitude is not only kept to his time on the ring. If anything it seems like his cocky attitude is only shown outside the ring. When hes in the ring he doesn't really do much as far as cocky attitude wise.

If he makes it to the WWE (which he probably will) and acts this way when he is there, he will get destroyed backstage by all of the other wrestlers and will end up pissing someone off whos high enough up to get him released.

ok first of all to the person who created this forum...i hate u because i was gonna make a thread like this later tonight lmfao but u beat me 2 it!

but yes i agree 100% every time i hear the future legend luke robinson talk he proves more and more hes gonna be a fucking great heel in wwe in the very near future! hes so frickin cocky he can make the fans hate him with ease! and he doesnt show any weakness at all hes the best one on their and honestly ill b surprised if he doesnt win the show! i was watching some of his matches from the indy scene on youtube and he has some skill in the ring and on the show hes proven he will be just fine talking on the mic! i hope wwe doesnt drop the ball with luke after the show because as he says himself he is the best one on tough enough and IMO he is a future legend! hes gonna be a big star 1 day i guarentee it!

I'm pretty sure the editing of the show makes Luke out to be way more of an asshole than he really is. I'm also positive they're making him look better in the ring than everyone else by cutting out the parts where he gets corrected. So I think they've already picked him to win.

Now as far as being a great heel. What is he going to bring to the table that we don't already have? I mean, The Miz and Jericho have the asshole side pretty much covered. He looks like another generic frat-boy character. And because of that he'd just get lost in the mix.

I apologize for the rant, but this overall point is something that is so overlooked in ALL of the WWE debates, its absurd.

To the people that are criticizing his attitude, and saying that it could get him into trouble in lockerrooms or hold him back, think about it, you ARE watching a television show. How do you know ANYTHING about what his lockeroom attitude would be like?

It is no secret that these "Reality shows" have a very real feel to them, but if you think for one second that these people are portayed as 100% "real" all the time, you are very wrong. No matter what the theme is, Tough enough, real world, road rules, i love new york, flavor of love, etc. , there is always a certain amount of "gimmick" already added to each person. This gimmick is usually created around an already existing personality trait, such as an arrogant guy, overdramatic girl, emotional train wreck girl, level headed guy, hot head guy, etc. They ARE shooting a televsion program, and the main goal of that is NOT to develop the "next wwe star", but to MAKE MONEY. If you have a bunch of respectful, yes sir no sir, class act greenhorns on the program, it would be boring. It would not draw ratings, It would not make money, And it would go away. The same as Livewire, Heat, Velocity, ECW, NXT, Superstars (twice), all have done.

Everyone buys into these reality shows because of the EXACT same reason people bought into Professional wrestling years and years ago- The suspension of disbelief. You know it isn't real, but by the angles they play out, the editing, the characters, they find a way to connect with people and make them wonder "what if".

The only reason it doesn't work for professional wrestling anymore is because of the physical end of it being over-exposed as a work, and the recent UFC craze. 25 years ago Professional Wrestling had the same craze as UFC had. Then the internet happened, and the whole world found out EVERY secret that the business had. UFC's Success is heavily influenced by this. They are the "real" fighters that now hold that stigma that surrounded Professional wrestling for years. Everyone at least WONDERS if its all real, or if its a work, but nobody knows for sure. Professional Wrestling had that for years.

These are all facts that Vince knows, and henceforth has started to migrate the WWE into a worldwide Entertainment company, its not like it hasnt been coming?! The VAST TV experience, Movies, DVD/Video, On Demand? The WWE has been an entertainment company since the late 90's.

WHY Vince WHY? How could you take away "Wrestling"... Because there is money to be made, and as passionate as each and everyone on this board may be about "Professional wrestling", most people would enjoy a big, fat, 7,8,9-figure, wad of cash way more than they would a "classic pro wrestling moment" every monday night. I know I would. And I watch Every program, every week on DVR. Vince could close the WWE T\tomorrow, and all of his children and family would be set for life. Thats how much money he has. And of course he wants to make more if he can!

I realize a lot of people try to look past this "elephant in the room", but even as a fan of the product, you have to sit back and realize EXACTLY what you are saying. But that IS the point of television. To create the debate, excitement, and emotional attachment.

*End Rant*

With Martin gone, his only competition is with Jeremiah, but i think Luke will win the competition. Luke and Jeremiah have the same amount of skill from what i have seen but Jeremiah has a horrible voice, he would not do well in WWE. So my pick is Luke to win the competiton or at least get signed if he does not win.

From an overall perspective, Luke is someone that's brought the most to the table in this 1st season of Tough Enough. He has a good look about him, he's athletic, he does have some legit personality & charisma going on, he's shown that he can quite probably be the best inside the ring when he puts his mind to it.

Luke is someone that I do think has some problems. I might be a little off base as we can only make determinations based on what we see, and we can't see the entire picture of course since they have to boil down what happens over the course of a week and edit it into a 1 hour show. Luke strikes me as someone that's immature and, selfish and possibly lazy. During the weeks when he was playing second fiddle to Martin in the eyes of the trainers, he wasn't taking it all that well. He thought that he had the contest in the bag before they even began filming and started to get a little pissy & whiny when it turns out that wasn't the case at all. As far as the laziness issue goes, he does step it up a notch when he has motivation. The fact that he was in the bottom three last week and came back and managed to impress the trainers this past Monday shows that he probably can win it all but it could be hard to keep the guy motivated. The rest of the time, in the eyes of the trainers, they think he's just been phoning it in.

If Luke does win Tough Enough and carries these problems over into a WWE ring then he'll quickly find himself sent down to FCW for more work, relegated to dark matches or possibly even let go.
