Lots Going On For Raw This Monday

Jack-Hammer

YOU WILL RESPECT MY AUTHORITAH!!!!
This Monday will be the go home episode of Raw for the Extreme Rules ppv and there looks to be quite a bit packed into the show.

According to reports, Ric Flair will return to Raw this Monday. Presumably, Flair will somehow be participating in the final build for the six man tag team bout between The Shield and Evolution.

Past WWE guest host Hugh Jackman also returns this Monday, so whatever he's involved in could be fun. He's easily one of the best of the guest hosts that they had and genuinely seemed to have a lotta fun while he was there.

The finals of the Intercontinental Championship #1 contender's tournament is set to go down this Monday between Rob Van Dam and Bad News Barrett. I honestly think that Cesaro & Heyman will interfere in this match in a way that either results in RVD being disqualified or that the match itself will be rendered a no contest. If it's the latter, I think we could wind up seeing a fourway match at Extreme Rules for the title with Big E defending against Cesaro, RVD and Barrett.

According to reports I read this morning, The Usos are set to defend the WWE Tag Team Championship against Rybaxel. Can't say this interests me all that much, but it should be a pretty solid TV match all the same.

Daniel Bryan is scheduled to be on Raw this Monday for the final push to his first title defense against Kane at Extreme Rules. The beat down worked well last Monday and put some needed heat on Kane. I think they jacked up the intensity of the beating as a means of justifying, for storyline purposes, Bryan not being at the SmackDown! tapings. I also think that it's classy of WWE not to have mentioned the passing of Bryan's father just hours before Monday's episode of Raw. It's mentioned on WWE.com, but they haven't said it on television. Ten or twelve years ago, I think they would've tried to work it into the angle somehow, like maybe his father was watching Raw live and had a sudden heart attack while he saw his son being mauled. Something along those lines that would've come off as extremely tacky and uncomfortable. Some reports I've read allege that WWE officials told Bryan that it was perfectly fine if he wanted to just show up at Extreme Rules. I have a feeling that Bryan will mention his father on Raw, either before or after he has another encounter with Kane, and dedicate his first title defense to his memory.

Bryan is really starting to come into his own in regards to what he'll do for the company. He could have easily told officials he wanted to be with his family instead, but he stepped up and worked even when officials wouldn't give him problems for taking the night off.

The passing of Bryan's dad is only going to give him more of a backing by the fans in the future weeks.

For some reason, I have this feeling they will initially have Flair and Evolution be a feel good moment until Orton, Batista and....maybe HHH gang up on him and the SHIELD come in for the save.

Will add a lot more heat on Evolution and backing from the fans for the SHIELD.

With Jackman back might Zack Ryder get air time where he is not getting his butt kicked?

A lot of fans were asking “where is Flair?” and the E delivered. I wasn’t a fan of the idea of his return but it is happening and I guess will be interesting to see how they play this out. I would say closet_fan is onto something with the Evo turn on Flair. It would build some tremendous heat.

I’m actually looking forward to the tag title match but have little interest in the IC tournament. I hope by weeks end Ryback and Axle are sporting gold. I’ve been thoroughly entertained by the team as of late. When it comes to the IC tournament I just can’t get excited about BNB and RVD is still show a massive amount of ring rust.

If Bad News Barrett doesn't win Monday then I am honestly not going to watch Extreme Rules. Not just because he won't be fighting for the title, but because on the whole the "special event" just looks boring. Outside of Evolution vs. The Shield, which we're probably going to see on Raw in a few weeks, I'm just not interested in this "special event".

With what happened last week on RAW and SmackDown, I definitely see Jack Swagger vs. Antonio Cesaro in a rematch at Extreme Rules. The IC Title Tournament has been pretty good, and while I think Barrett should win for his storyline, I don't want to see RVD left off the card for Extreme Rules. I'm hoping for Big E to be on commentary and Barrett to attack him, leading to Big E interfering in the match, resulting in a Triple Threat Match at Extreme Rules. As for the tag titles, I don't see their match on RAW ending clean. Extreme Rules has room for another match or two considering how short some of them will be, so a rematch at the PPV suits me just fine. I could actually see RybAxel winning the titles through cheating on RAW, then have the Usos regain them at the PPV, leading to RybAxel splitting up and Axel turning face.

I believe I read somewhere it's supposed to be a three way between Cesaro, RVD and Swagger at ER. It doesn't make sense to me. I rather them keep going at it one on one, rather than RVD added to it. Just give RVD the IC title.

The potential of the mic work between Heyman and Zeb is gold

Steph giving her speech on Raw should be pretty lame to say the least, but besides that I'm interested in what Ryback will do, I really think he is close to getting some kind of push either heel or face, maybe a split I dunno. But he was buried badly for almost the last year, and finally hes getting some wins, and good showings on Raw the past few weeks.

This monday night Raw promises or looks to be one of the most hyped episodes in a while.. Bad News,is coming into his own since his injury and is back on track finally.. I love the bad news gimmick aspect its funny and a great angle for him.. Hugh Jackman who is a A+ celebrity will most likely have an encounter with Ziggler.. Ziggler will want payback for his jaw getting broken when Jackman clocked him..

Flair is coming to Raw WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO but only to be beaten down by evolution. Sure, evolution will welcome him back with open arms but only to turn on him while the Shield will make the save..

Daniel Bryan will return to raw.. Wow,DB what a guy what a competitor. He really is coming quite the real life super hero,he could have had an extra week off to deal with his tragedy but doesn't want to let the fans down.. Like JH said, maybe ten years ago the WWE would have played out some really uncomfortable angle involving DB's father passing.

I also look forward to Cody and Goldust having some sort of confrontation,to air out their grievances.. Hell I am going out on a limb to say Cody lays out Goldust on Monday night raw crossroads style
