Last Ditch Effort: Bring back the 6 Man Cell!

Da Solo

Getting Noticed By Management
I don't normally post fantasy situations, but for some reason my mind has been dwelling on why WWE never re-did the Armageddon Hell in a Cell match even though it's featured in all of the video games and archives and such. I mean it wasn't bad when it happened; turned out pretty great in my opinion (although Kurt as the winner probably let down the crowd).

So my thought? Instead of scrambling to see who gets the main event spot and where Daniel Bryan will fit in, why not main event Wrestlemania's big 3-0 with the equally big Armagedon Cell? Orton v. Bryan v. Lesnar v. Batista v. Kane v. HHH.

Simple: Bryan wins the Chamber or gets screwed out of it, and they give him his undeniably deserved shot, but throw the Cell in to guarantee he doesn't win.
Orton either goes in as champ or with his rematch clause, fully pissed at the Authority.
Batista won the Rumble, and from last night shows dissent from HHH's new business tactics.
Lesnar can throw around his self-proclaimed #1 contender status that conveniently no one has questioned.
Kane can enter to stop Bryan as Director, but then get pissed with HHH's constant punishments for attacking Bryan like they told him to do, revert to the Monster and be in on his own accord (Last year he cut a pretty serious promo as part of Hell No about him never headlining WM. Cut back to that and let him wax nostalgic of his in-ring days before finally losing it).
HHH now, seeing no other option, throws his name into the hat to ensure his rivals Bryan, Kane, Lesnar and the now dissenting Orton and Batista don't close the biggest show of the year as champion.

Then to clear up the lurking variables, Cena and Taker.

Cena can go to the Wyatts as planned. Taker will probably have to rush into the Sting fight or get into it with the Shield and fight Roman as the payoff. Or hell, do Cena vs. Taker, so then you can do with The Shield breakup as you please.

Granted, I doubt Lesnar or Batista would find it in their contracts to do such an injury prone match, but use your imagination. What think ye?

The only problem with that is you are putting all your eggs in 1 basket.

Main Event - Brock Lesnar, Batista, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Triple H, Kane.

The only really stars you have left are Undertaker and John Cena. The other 6/7 matches would be like an episode of Raw! Punk probably isnt coming back, Sting won't be wrestling at Mania 30, Rock has ruled himself out...if these 3 gentleman were on the card then it could probably work.

Also Lesnar is worthy of a title shot and this doesn't need to be questioned. He is arguably the biggest star on the current roster like now and has victories over Triple H, CM Punk and Big Show.

For me there are two matches that can improve the rumoured card...

Orton (c) vs Bryan vs Batista
or
Lesnar (c) vs Batista

The former is the way I think they will go. How do you book it? Have Orton and Bryan the last two in the Chamber and have Lesnar come down and destroy both men resulting in a no contest. The next night on Raw, Lesnar is on a path of destruction and the Undertaker returns.

Why would you waste a PPV selling gimmick at Wrestlemania, a PPV which sells itself? And if the Armageddon Cell doesn't sell (a distinct possibility, considering we don't ever see it), why would you want it at the biggest show of the year?

In addition to the post above mine, the idea fails due to simple logic.

Another issue to add to the two above is that the PPV this month is also headlined by a 6 man cage match. If WWE alter anything it will be something simple like making the title match a triple threat.

A month after Chamber doesn't really make sense. It is an unnecessary gimmick for the biggest show of the year. Taker/HHH 2 needed the Cell. Bossman/Taker was awful. Very fine line.

In general I wouldn't mind seeing another chamber. There is so much talent on this roster and a PPV called Hell in a Cell. One World Championship, why couldn't they have 6 guys fight for the belt. There are still the mid-card, tag and diva title belts as well as other grudge matches. In general yes but not for Mania.

Yeah, I agree with the "eggs in the basket" argument. Armageddon HIAC would have been better fit for SS, so they wouldn't have to book that weak Orton vs. Show main event.

I wouldn't mind seeing Batista vs. Lesnar but I don't know how they could sell the match up without it looking like two heels facing each other, crowd could be just as bad as Goldberg vs. Lesnar

Both Goldberg and Lesnar were leaving the company the very next day, the smarky crowd were fully aware of this which is why the match and crowd stunk.

Batista is now a full time employee of WWE and Lesnar is a part time employee. Both will be there the next night on Raw. It is a completely different situation.

I think the crowd would be pro Lesnar anyway. It seems to 'be cool' to boo Batista at the moment so not doubt Lesnar would be cheered. What is there to boo and dislike about Lesnar anyway. The europeans in the crowd are very pro Heyman too.
