Lana is getting kind of boring.

Some like Rusev. Others think he's incredibly dull. Personally, I think the guy is underappreciated as a character. He seems to have a good grasp of wrestling psychology, when he speaks it seems to matter and he's an unconventional heel who usually doesn't fall back on cheating. But that's not the issue here.

Whereas Rusev divides people, most seem to think Lana makes the angle more-or-less work. She looks the part, sounds the part and her promos are really good. However, it occurs to me that every week she tends to say and do the same thing. She'll talk about how awesome Putin is, how sucky America is and how sucky Rusev's opponent is. I think she needs to find a new way to generate heat.

The Russia/Anti-America angle is fine and should be the focal point, but I want her to say something else. When Rusev joined the Authority, I was hoping that this would provide a platform for something new. I was expecting that there would be a lot of tension, especially between Rusev and Henry. I was expecting some banter with Stephanie and Lana. But Lana barely made a peep and no one seemed bothered by Rusev's presence, or vice versa.

Am I the only one who feels this way, or is what Lana continues to do enough for you? I'm just tired of the same old speech week after week.

SHUTUP!!!

Just kidding. I hear you, but I still enjoy it.

They were aligned with the Authority for what....a week or two? And she did have a confrontation with Stephanie, where Steph tore into her.

I agree, tension with Henry would've been cool. It didn't last long enough though, so only so much could happen in a few weeks.

I don't consider a one-sided verbal beatdown to be bantering though. At the absolute least, they should've had Lana show her fangs and return said verbal beatdown on another show.

Personally I think Rusev is good in the ring. he's more technical even though he's executing very less moves he's living high with them and crushing the opponents. And it seems like he's pretty okay in the mic as well I don't see the point why Lana comes out everyday and talking the same old shit.

When they showed Putin on the screen for the first time it drew a lot of heat but not anymore. Putin is been showing more than twice in the entrance titraon video!

She looks shaggy and not interfering in the matches or making her presence something legitimate. it would be better if she atleast trip his opponent's legs.

Or when the opponent is tapping out she should probably grab the mic and brag about Rusev before asking him to let loose off the opponent

I think it just depends on what she's given to talk about each week..I wish that all the wrestlers' promos on Raw and Smackdown WEREN'T scripted so that we could actually hear the wrestlers/managers say something interesting instead of something some schmuck who used to work in Hollywood thinks they should say.

Also, Lana should throw in some more actual Russian words....A couple examples are instead of saying "SHUT UP!" she could always say "ZATKANEES!" which simply means "SHUT UP!" in Russian. Whenever Rusev's ready to take his opponent out, she could say "RUSEV RAZDAVEET!". Razdaveet means "crush".

As far as Rusev goes, I think that Rusev should use more Sambo submission moves since he's legit trained in Sambo. His Camel Clutch is good but I'm tired of him using it exclusively to finish people. He could also use more strike combinations against his opponents..More knees/elbows/punches. headbutts and kicks would be great.

Now if he keeps the US Title for awhile, as it's already been suggested he could re-design it to make it the Russian Championship. They could fly him out to Russia, legit meet Putin, have a photo of Putin, Lana and Rusev with Putin holding up the newly designed Russian Championship with Rusev's name in the nameplate written in the Russian Cyrillic alphabet. Also, that photo of Putin, Lana and Rusev could be part of Lana's promo material as well as making Rusev merchandise with said picture on the shirts.

She's very hot and nice to look at but that's about all I can say about her and Rusev. I honestly think Lana is the talent of the two. She's pretty good on the mic and can work as a valet well. Rusev on the other hand is just boring all he does is scream and his mic skills are pretty average. Nothing really sticks out about Rusev and despite I don't think EVER losing thus far he's still not over. He's not really treated like a main eventer star simply because he's not a main event talent he's a career midcarder let Cena squash him already.

Meh, not everybody is going to be interesting ALL the time. Sometimes you get shitty angles and sometimes you're given the same crap week after week which doesn't leave much room for diversifying what you say. I think she's very good and fluent on the mic and can roll with the punches when she has to (see Jericho and Rock). The fact that people are just now finding her a little tiresome after a year of cutting weekly promos, shows how good she actually is, not many people can do that and still remain relatively fresh.

She may not be as "exciting" as she used to be, but in her defense she hasn't gotten much to work with except the American angle... Perhaps this Ryback feud will show another layer of Lana and Rusev.

Rusev is better than Lana on the mic. "Big Show you garbage American, I will CRUSH you!" is classic bad guy dialogue and it gets to the point! On the SMACKDOWN Fallout, Rusev had this to say: "The Big Guy, heh, everybody is the same size in the accolade!" Awesome line! Rusev also went head-to-head with the legend Chris Jericho when he told him," Little man, big mouth, you talk too much. Maybe I just crush you know." LOL! Lana added nothing of a significance. When Rusev speaks, I listen!!!

Well, as far as what she can do to further her involvement, it seems that getting physically involved in Rusev's matches would be the next logical step.

No, I'm not talking about her punching out or drop-kicking guys (although that would be something to see, no?). But, by now, I figured she would have used the time-honored woman valet maneuver of passing her shoe to her man to knock an opponent silly.

The flaw in that is Rusev has no need of it....and I believe part of the allure of Rusev is that he's a bad guy who doesn't need to cheat to win. In fact, when he attacked Ryback last night, it was the first time he's ambushed anyone, either inside or out of the ring. Face it, the guy fights legal.

So, to this point, further involvement by Lana is probably not conducive to what Rusev is doing. Down the line, when he's facing top-line opponents, she'll most likely be called on to do more.

Lana is fit enough; she can handle it.

I think that this is just her role now. And I think she does a good job, They are probably the best foreign heels since General Adnan and Col. Mustafa. They have the campy humor thing going for them. I bet that after this has run its course she will do something different.

First of all, I think I'm correct when I say that most international fans pretty much just don't care about this FEUD. I think Rusev is really good in the ring and looks good and can make a tough guy on the mic. I like him. I just dislike the feud being based on nationality. No one cares, not even most americans, not legit. That's why Lana is boring. Apart from THAT look, she just keeps repeating the same thing over and over again, with nothing new to keep us interested, just different opponents that Rusev squashes. Wow, I feel like I'm talking about Cena. But yeah, you get my point. Almost no one cares. People chant USA because the fans in the arenas are americans, of course they will chant. Otherwise, no one cares about the feud, and consequently about Lana, because Lana isn't competing and is just there because of the feud. I got bored of her since like her 3rd appearance.

I think she is doing fine. She connects with the crowd. The promo she did mentioning Kim Kardashian being naked a couple of weeks back, it reminded me of something they would have done 10 years ago.

I think if she wasn't with Rusev, Rusev would be boring. I'd like to see her get involved with Rusev's matches, like causing DQs, helping him win and it'd be interesting to see how she interacts/fits in with the other Divas.
