Kofi's role at mania?

I'm shocked about this. How is Kofi not in the money in the bank ladder match?

He had an incredible feud with Orton, he pinned 2 former world champions at Survivor Series, and he's not even on the card yet!!! He was obviously one of the favorites to win the match as well. So Kofi's not in the money in the bank ladder match.

Whare does he go from here? What'll he do at Mania? I think he'll be involved with McIntyre in a SD vs Raw IC title match, even though that'd be a step down, but that's all I see for him. Thoughts?

Judging by Kofi coming out to help Cena he will somehow get on the card. I think a match with McIntyre is possible. McIntyre is McMahon's chosen one and Kofi tried to go against Vince tonight, so that could be Vince's punishment. I too was surprised when they announced Bourne vs. Bill for the final MITB spot (unless they go and up it to ten superstars this year). Kofi will definitely be on the card at Mania, as he is pretty over and one of the hottest rising stars in the E.

The only thing I can think of is having kofi and Orton vs legacy

I don't see that happening. Orton + Kofi?

Anyway

I agree with the possibity of Mc Intyre v kofi, as they are both up and comers without a match. there is a slight chance of inserting kofi into the orton legacy thing but have it as a fatal 4 way. i actually wouldn't mind either way.

Other than that i can't see any other logical thing for him to do.

I was shocked to see Bourne vs Regal instead of Kofi in a match but I think Vince is trying to get the new guys on the card and give them a chance to shine but thats for another thread.

As others have said Kofi will more than likely be in a match that revolves around Vince as he stuck up for Cena, I like others see him in a match against Drew in a inter brand match which could be interesting and it is the only place I can see with only two Raw's left and I doubt he will be left off the card. So at WM I see Kofi against Drew possibly for the intercontinental title.

I am very worried about Kofi Kingston's lack of a spot at Wrestlemania. He deserves one, obviously. I was super surprised not to see him get the final Money in the Bank spot, although I am happy for Evan Bourne. But now it's essentially a match that only Christian can win, Kofi would've at least been a second option. So during the main event Kofi Kingston briefy comes out and tries to assist Cena but gets very quickly discarded by Batista. Where is this leading as it relates to Wrestlemania, if it even is at all? Someone had mentioned that there are 7 matches made already not including Randy Orton/Legacy, Mysterio/Punk, and a Divas match. 10 matches already is pushing it. Is it possible whatsoever that he is going to be some kind of surprise partner of Orton's against Legacy like somebody else mentioned??? Because I was also wondering what the fuck Drew McIntyre is going to do at Wrestlemania (again like other people mentioned) and they could go with Kofi/McIntyre in an interpromotional bout. Is this likely? Could they produce 11 matches if Orton only has a one-on-one encounter with maybe DiBiase and pair Kofi with McIntyre? (who insists he'll be at Mania)? Or is my Rey/Punk match that I speak of and a Divas match not happening? Not likely. I'm confused.

I'm going to guess kofi will wrestle drew for the ic title, as I really don't see the point of him involved with the legacy feud. Orton is a loner, and shouldn't be teaming with anyone. The only partner I would kinda want to see him with in the future is with cena, as they are the complete opposite of each other, and the uniqueness of teaming with each other will be interesting. Back to mania, there are 7 matches already, punk vs. mysterio is likely, some lame divas match, some legacy match, and maybe an ic title match. That would be 11 matches total. I'm guessing they will cut it to 10 on the actuall ppv, and have one of the match a dark match on wwe.com. They've done it in the last few years at mania with a dark match for the live crowd. The question is which match should be the dark match??? If I had to do it, it would be the divas match, cause I'm bored anytime the women are in action. But I'm assuming they will put either the tag match or the ic match as the dark match, more likely the ic match due to having a short build up if the match does occur. Which match do you guys think will be the dark match, or will it be some kind of battle royal?

I love hoe people are freaking out about this.

I am going to be very honest and tell you that I don't really care for Kofi a great deal. He has been given a push but hasn't really done anything with it. He is a good superstar, this much is true but his mic skills are lacking to say the least and I still don't think that Vince has forgiven him for botching the end to the match on Raw. That being said, his push has done wonders for his credibility. He could walk into a match with Orton or Cena now and you wouldn't think that he didn't belong there. 6 months ago, I would have been shocked to see him being put in the ring with Cena or McMahon. The fact of the matter is though, that the push has worked and I feel that they are at a loss with Kofi.

I think it would have made sense to put Kofi in the Money In The Bank match but that is not going to happen obviously. I think that the WWE have been very aware that Kofi is over at the moment and think that they can get away with him being put in a normal throw away match with another competitor. However, I think that this is going to do wonders for the Money In The Bank match and leaves the door open for Christian to finally grab the brass ring and get a shot at a championship. I would argue that Christian needs it more than Kofi at this precise moment and I think it makes sense.

I'm pretty stunned he isn't in the MITB because he was probably the most entertaining guy in it last year, and his absence seems a little bizarre this time around. There's no way Evan Bourne would be in this match if they didn't have something for Kofi somewhere else, but what exactly I don't know. I think there are a couple of options. The first is that McMahon pits him against Drew McIntyre, as a punishment for trying to break up Cena's beatdown. This is possible, but I still think Ezeikel Jackson is going to win a preshow battle royal to face McIntyre. The next possibility is that Kofi finds a partner and joins in the tag match. Somebody like Mark Henry isn't that unlikely, but I don't think they'll go that way. The final thing, and I almost can't believe the pointlessness of it, but Orton and Legacy have to have a showdown. Unless Rhodes and DiBiase split and make it a triple threat, which I think they're too bland to pull off, Orton's going to need a partner. Kingston and Orton have a history, and a quick face promo from Orton could easily set it up. He has no business in the match, but I really can't see what else they'll do.

How about the unthinkable Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr. versus Randy Orton and his surprise mystery partner, Kofi Kingston!

Everyone is shocked, as these guys were bitter rivals recently. Then as part of the inevitable orton face turn, we get a Kofi heel turn. Kofi gets repackaged, which he desperately needs, along with a new look, song, etc., And how better to do a concurrent Kofi heel turn and Orton face turn than the tried and true 3 on 1 beatdown.

Personally, Kofi should stay well away from the Orton/Legacy feud.

Although I do think that the Kofi/Drew intercontinental title match would be more likely, I think that there could be a possibility of putting Kofi into the Punk/Mysterio feud.

Rey will probably need a tag team partner at some point because of the Straight Edge Society's interference (especially Luke Gallows), why not have a tag match between the two teams or even a mixed tag with Serena and possibly Tiffany (since she was looking after Rey's daughter on Smackdown, although that would probably ruin a decent match up, but it would get some Divas on the card albeit not the most popular ones).

Could be an option, but more likely to see Drew/Kofi after his interference in McMahon's match on Raw.

After Kofi attempted to help Cena, I can only see Kofi for Drew and why not put it up for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestle Mania. The belt hasn't been on the card since it was re activated in 2002 and it's time it got the proper treatment. Drew is Vince's "chosen one" and as far as titles, it's a step down for Kofi, but Kofi really isn't ready yet for the main event spotlight or at least holding the WWE or WHC.

yeah, if Kofi is left off the card that can only mean he's seriously in the doghouse after the Orton botch incident - if that was a botch, which looked pretty likely at the time. He could well wind up with McIntyre, who you can't exactly see missing out either - after all he is IC champ, and is definitely on quite a push. Unfortunately for Kofi, if he does face McIntyre, I can't exactly see him winning.

As long as we dont get another damn tag team match at Wrestle-fuckin-Mania I'm happy. Kofi-Drew would be a good match i suppose but its another oe of tose matches that risks being on the undercard, like the tag team match thats there already.
Im dying to see Punk-Mysterio II because i seriously enjoyed their Armageddon match last year (damn, a year ago? time flies in WWE).

i think wwe is going with a 10 man MITB, have u noticed how they havent said Bourne won the last spot? In the past they would say this, so i dont believe the MITB is full yet and i believe kofi and one other will be entered into the match

I honestly thought Kofi would be the favorite to win MITB as well months ago, but after he botched the Orton match, and he struggled talking on the mic in the ring at a live RAW show. I think Vince has lost faith in Kofi. I hear talks all the time on this forum how back in the attitude era we had wrestlers we enjoyed watching all up and down the card. Maybe Kofi is just going to be stuck in the mid card with a chance at the upper card every now and then? His push gave him credibility and now matches with other up and comers can give them some credibility as well. I do think that Kofi was the most enjoyable to watch at the MITB last year, but I could see him not being at Wrestlemania at all at this point. Remember WWE is having a Money In The Bank PPV by itself. We could always see Kofi there.

Adding Kofi Kingston to the Randy Orton/Legacy feud would be the DUMBEST thing they could possibly do. If they did this, I would probably stop watching wrestling. Kofi has no place in that feud whatsoever. He would look really out of place. Randy Orton has a big thing going on right now, getting more and more of a tweener reaction from the crowd.

With Kofi by his side, Orton would get a full blown face reaction. What would follow that would be Orton not doing the cool things he does now because the WWE would without a doubt in my mind try and turn him face completely. They would want him to be nicer to kids, blah blah blah, so they could sell freakin' t-shirts. This would be disgusting.

I agree Kofi should have a spot on the Mania card, but not with Orton and Legacy. Expand the MITB match. Give him a match with McIntyre. Do something. Anything. Anything besides involving him in the Orton/Legacy feud. That would the biggest load of S**T I could ever think of.

The belt hasn't been on the card since it was re activated in 2002 and it's time it got the proper treatment.

What about last year? Mysterio vs JBL. Not a great match, but the title was still on the line.

I too, like someone above me, think that Kofi will still be involved in the MITB ladder match, much like I am expecting Drew McIntyre to be involved. It has never actually been said that only 8 man can participate, and McIntyre's persona appears to be obsessed with qualifying, so hainv both competitors in a match makes perfect sense.

I see 1 of 3 things happening.........

1) Since MITB now has 9 particpants (read the SD spoilers) why not add Kofi to make it 10?

2) Orton and Legacy don't have a match at WM yet, why not do the unthinkable team Kofi with his arch nemesis Randy Orton vs the Legacy

3) This may seem the most unlikely but have Kofi team with Rey against Punk and Gallows. Again this seems the most unlikely after hearing rumors of a Rey vs Punk Mask vs Hair match that I'd love to see

Well, with Mr.Mcintyre offically being in the MiTB, there are two possiblities for Kofi.

1.He also gets put in the Money In The Bank to make it 10.

OR

2. (Most Likely) Kofi decides to get more involved with Cena/Mcmahon, and Mcmahon drops Drew out of the MITB to face Kofi.

Kofi needs to be in the MITB. Maybe the are saving the best for last (Kofi is an obvious choice to win). Possibly the legacy thing, but I just can't see Kofi/Orton teaming just yet. Interfering with McMahon has pretty much been all but forgotten so I reallly don't know I just imagine MITB for Kofi... who else would they put in that 10th spot?

I thought Bourne had taken the last spot in MITB but judging from the fact that McIntyre qualified for a ninth spot on SD, my best guess is that there will be one more qualifier on Raw this Monday and Kofi will more than likely fill that spot.

If he doesn't get that 10th spot, then there's nothing else I can think of for him at Wrestlemania and it wouldn't make sense to completely leave him off the card especially considering he was in the Raw Elimination Chamber competing for the WWE title at the last PPV.

It's obvious Kofi won't be in MITB because all nine spots are already filled. To tell you the truth, I think Kofi will be left off of this year's Wrestlemania card. If he's not going to be in MITB, then I find it hard to believe he'll be doing something else. He won't be going for the US title because Miz is going to be in a tag team match, and I highly doubt WWE would put him in a singles match because there isn't a big name left on the Raw roster for him to compete against.

I'm hoping Kofi will get back on track after Wrestlemania because he was riding a pretty big push a little while ago, and he did a good the whole time.

I think it's stupid not to have him in the MITB match i think he is perfect for it and he would of been the favorite to win it. But now that he helped Cena against McMahon on raw i think that Mcmahon is going to punish him and give him a match against someone at Mania probably a Drew Mcintyre because thats the only guy i can really think of and he is Vince's chosen one.

With the announcement of MITB going to 10 participants this year, the 10th guy has to be Kofi. Kofi is too talented to be left off of the WM card completely. Not only does having Kofi add another high flyer who can do some crazy spots, but it adds another legitimate guy who could end up winning MITB, thus the unpredictability of MITB is increased.

Plus I can't think of another mid-carder other than Kofi who could be that 10th man.

i do enjoy watching kofi in the ring and would be very disappointed to not see him competing somehow at mania. but with the decision currently in effect to go with only 8 superstars in the MiTB there is only one explaination i can think of if he were to be used at mania.
a feud for the US belt.
there may be only one raw left but there is also a smackdown and with that opportunity could make for a kofi run in on a miz promo or showmiz match, possibly claiming kofi wants his title back and creative could slap a stipulation to that match.
it would be kind of lame personally to watch two matches with miz at mania since the tag belts are being defended already, but it is a possibility and one of the only non-MiTB ways to get kofi into mania at this point
also i believe this because they want to push r-truth and morrison as a tag team, should they win at mania and showmiz splits this would be a perfect angle for kofi to jump in on
