King Booker or Booker-T?

Booker-T..The only time the king gimmick worked well was with Jerry Lawler.And a example from this is King Mabel(Sucked) .Now the King Booker gimmick is working for him but i want to see booker-T again which i guess we won't . But I still enjoy him when I watch raw but i'd favor booker t over king booker. And booker said the king name really took him off? Well with booker t didnt he win 5 world titles? and multiple tag team titles as harlem heat? And with king Booker he has held one world title...Now i think booker t lifted him up to the spotlight.

I like King Booker's interviews and segments, they're really funny, but I would still prefer to see Booker as a face. Raw does'nt have enough faces IMO, and a one month title rivalry between him and possibly Kennedy would be good if Booker became a face again.

Personally I rather the Booker T gimmick, and if I'm not mistaken, that outburst this past week on Raw was a sign of things to come in the future (like a revert back to the Booker T gimmick).

I agree with most of you, i loved Booker in WCW, he was like a no bs kinda hard working guy, winning the titles against bigger guys and such

I'm Probaly one of the few that actually like the King Booker gimmick. IMO he plays his character very well and draws incredible amounts of heat from fans everywhere and is arguably the biggest heel on RAW(Orton). People literally despise him. Even I get to were I despise him a little. I think it has taken him to a new level when it comes to him being a heel. I'd taker King Booker(heel) over Booker T(heel). Don't get me wrong I liked the Booker T gimmick but it was time for some kind of change so It doesn't bother me much.

I do think that if (and when) he does job to Trips at SS. It would be better if he went ahead in dropped the gimmick since it is a Kings match but as far as I know they haven't announced any kind of dropping the King name if either were to lose. So it's still possible that he has to go back to Booker T when he loses.

I chose King Bookah. To me he is more over with this gimmick. It might be getting a little old now but so was "Spinneroonies" and "Tell me he did not just say that". I like "Jerome" "peasants" "subjects" and "Royal feet" better. The promos are pretty damn funny too either way I wouldn't mind.

Very good points. I can agree with that. However, I don't see much future for him as a main title holder... I really think they would have to reinvent him in order to give him credibility. Kinda like the "Triple H is better, faster, stronger" thing.

Exactly i would much rather see Booker in the main event picture and as king booker he is in the main event picture. If he was Booker T he would be fueding with Santino.

I became a fan of Booker T back in the WCW days, because he put on so many great matches. Back when he was part of Harlem Heat, they fought Hall and Nash for the titles when the NWO first formed, and he made that match very exciting. And then his classic best of 7 series with Chris Benoit for the US title(it might have been the TV title, i don't remember). Now I got really tired of the spin-a- roony when he first made it in WWE, and now I really hate him using the scissor kick as his finisher. Now that the Rock is not longer wrestling, he should use the BookEnd again as his finisher. I really don't mind him using the King Booker gimmick, I think it's pretty funny when he tries to use all those big words and alot of the time he messes them up. But if he went back to using the BookEnd as his finisher, he could call it the Crown, and he could use in his interviews "get ready to be crowned." haha...j/k

I love it when he gets really angry and breaks character. I prefer the king booker gimmick because someone said before booker t was getting a bit stale and like booker even said its taken him to the top. I hope he has a good long feud with HHH after summerslam.

thats my one of my favorite things booker does along with when he calls people peasants and when he called jerry lawler jerome. i think king booker is great and really made booker legit again and he should stay this way until they absolutely have to switch

i have been a huge fan of Booker T back in WCW. i used to love watching him wrestle. When he came over to the WWE i loved it when he would use his past to make him some kind of wrestling god. five time five time five time five time five time five time wcw champion i loved that. he career was going no where until he won kotr. Now as king booker with queen sharmell. i find her quite annoying but she makes him get so much heat. I read i think it was on here where he wants to keep his King Booker gimmick because it got him over with the fans. i dont see him become main event material unless he gets injured and comes back sorta like what HHH is doing the better Faster stronger thing. i believe some one said that earlier and i totally agree but ithink his king Booker gimmick is great and entertaining to watch especially when he said jerome that was good. Anyways his King Booker gimmick is good for him and the WWE because people love to hate him so he knows he is over with the fans so therefore his job is done.

King Booker or Booker T this man just amazed me abck in WCW and just has immense ammounts of talent.He was involved in single handedly the greatest tag team of all time in Harlem Heat.

King Booker-Annoying gimmick but has gotten watchable and not that bad.

Booker T-A man who didn't like to take crap and just stuck in mid card until late 2004

My pick was Booker T just because the KIng thing is annoying.

I liked Booker T as a face because he's one of my favorite wrestlers. I still cheer for him, and no one was happier than me when he FINALLY won the World Heavyweight Championship. I don't want to think he'd be a mid-card wonder again if he went back to Booker T, but if he is feuding with HHH, that means he's hit the main event once again. It also means he's not going to be a face for a long time, since very few king gimmicks work as faces. Only Lawler can do it, but only because he's a legend now.

I don't think Vince would put the WWE title on him, although I'd want him to face and beat Cena for the title rather than Orton, since he doesn't need the title to be the Legend Killer.

yeah but Orton needs the title for credibility and to give the title credibility Booker T is great and yes i would like him to be a world champ but never king booker hes to arrogant and would ruin a title hed be like when Bradshaw became JBL and all egotistic and wwe champ and that kinda made us hate him but i now like JBL once again because he respects Michael Cole now and is in my opinion becoming a face again just like old APA days reference the bit when the 2 of em were singing backstage on raw and having a laugh

Book should drop the whole "King" gimmick. It's been used so many times, Lawler, Harley Race, Jim Duggan. I like when Book had the street lingo and the jive talk, SUCKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! He could still be a heel, and go back to the way he was. He managed to make that attitude his own, and not stereotypical like Cryme Tyme. I DO, however, like when he comes out as the King, with his little accent, and then jive talks when he gets pissed. "I'm gone git you, Jerry!" LOL! All in all, I just like Booker T. Always have.

I think I read somewhere that Booker does not want to go back to his old gimmick, he is happy with King Booker, shame really, I really liked watching Booker T, he was very entertaining, he turned it all around for himself in wwe, once the invasion story line kicked in. Sadly I think were stuck with King Booker, but hey least his made it work, and he can be funny at times with this gimmick too.

I'd rather take just Booker. Nothing from the past to haunt or cause problems, no annoyance. Seriously I forget which it was but one of last years pay per views made me want to turn the TV off because I had to listen to Booker rant for 5 minutes. The whole King Booker thing works until he has to talk for a long period of time then you want to explode. I like the guy for the wrestler he is but hate the "King Booker" character. In these days of wrestling its just as fun to see wrestlers with common/real names rather than some sort of gimmick to carry them especially when the gimmick doesn't lead to main event matches. Anymore gimmicks are made to create heels and its fine when the heel is new or at least the character is new. But when you have an established wrestler and try to sell them off as a different character it doesn't work. Hell even the announcers often accidentally call "King Booker" "Booker T". When that confusion can happen something is obviously not right with the character and it needs to be addressed in some way. He can keep his crown, his queen, his red carpet, but drop that accent and the "King" and lets just call him Booker.

The 'King Booker' gimmick is stale, and besides, he kicked much more ass as Booker T! I believe he needs to abandon the King Booker junk and go back to being the 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time WCW Champion. The whole fingers displayed and the Spinerooni, its been forever since we have seen the Spinerooni. (sp?)

I kinda like King Booka because it was never meant to be a serious gimmick.The angle to the whole gimmick is not that he really is a "king" but that he's deluded himself into thinking he's one.Its kinda like an insane Bob Backlund.That's why its soo funny when he gets pissed & drops the accent,going all Booker T on us.That's why he's usually mocked by other wrestlers for how clearly fake his accent sounds.We'll be sure to hear HHH ribbing his King Booka gimmick in post Summerslam promos.

I hate to say it, but he will probably stick with the king booker thing until his feud with HHH subsides. That is the main reason for the feud in the first place. He will eventually go back to his old ways though, I assume. He constantly breaks character whenever he gets angry, it definitely won't work for a long time if he does that.

He already said in an interview that he never wants to go back to his old gimmick cause of the success he's gotten as "King Booka"....which really sucks cause the King gimmick just isn't working anymore...I know he's a heel but even as a heel it's getting real stale and boring....
