Kasey, he has always shown shades of his old self. My feeling about the King gimmick all along is that in reality it is Booker T (the character) pretending to be a King. Okay, maybe that is looking into a wrestling gimmick too deep, but I have been given that feeling several times. I admit to not viewing much SD! tv but from the little I have seen since he became King Booker, and his appearances on RAW, King Booker tends to slip back into Booker T when he gets pissed. I love it, and I think it makes the character funny. I for one don't think it is at all necessary to abandon this gimmick, and do not think it is as bad as most fans see it. If he returns to old Booker T fine, thats cool, but there's nothing wrong with King Booker.
Perhaps if they break up it will give him a new chance to make this gimmick more appealing to all the fans who hate it. You never know, maybe they have a brilliant idea. But I don't want them to remove her from the show altogether because then he may consider retiring sooner rather than later to be with his wife. I think the longer she is around, the longer he will stickc around.
I do agree that they really dropped the ball when he first came to WWE, he had the potential to be a megastar for WWE like he was in WCW. But hey, thats what we all knew Vince would do to every single one of those guys.
