Kentucky Clerk is still denying gay couples their right to marriage.

One Punch Doug Crashin

I AM INVINSIBLE!
Even after the supreme court denied this idiot a stay in her appeal she's still denying marriage licences. I don't think she realizes that she'll be fined and or receive jail time. This is a whole new level of stupid. Yea I get it. You think you don't have to give out these specific licenses due to your own "religious" convictions but as a government official there's a SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE CLAUSE THAT YOU SHOULD HAVE READ BEFORE YOU WERE ELECTED!!! YOU DO NOT GET TO PICK AND CHOOSE WHAT LAWS YOU OBEY AND WHAT LAWS YOU DO NOT! (end rant)

They are to the point where they are issuing zero marriage licenses thus adding another layer of stupidity to the entire situation. As if this move justifies their position. I agree with what Reverend has already stated. Individuals like this need to realize they were not hired to uphold their own "moral" believes but to represent a government and uphold the standards and practices of said government. No matter where one stands on gay marriage this is really cut and dry.

Bit of a hypocrite if she's working on her fourth marriage. Now I don't pretend to know the Bible in and out, but something tells me that is a no-no.

Throw her ass in jail already.

The Bible and their religion only matters if it's the part she cares about. Adulterers, thieves, murderers...those sins are okay to overlook in granting marriage licenses. But homosexuality is just so much worse.

Sounds like the perfect premise for a p0rn movie... or five of them.

Plot 1:
It's a stormy day. The roads are deserted as the rain has been pouring since the previous night. A young woman comes to the clerk's office to collect her marriage certificate.
"So you like women, huh?"
"Umm... Yes Ma'am."
"I bet you love eating some p****."
"I beg your pardon?"
"Oh yeah, that's what I said. How would you like to taste some right here?"

Plot 2:
An elderly clerk is notorious among the LGBT community for not issuing marriage licenses to gay couples. Two stout lesbian women decide to teach her a lesson...
"Y'know, you've been a really bad b!tch..."
"What do you mean?!"
"You hate same sex relationships, right? We've heard about all that you've done over the years. Now we're gonna show you what we "queers" can do. Get her!"
"No!!! Let me go, I'll do anything!"

Plot 3:
The clerk is part of a secret religious society that views homosexuality as a serious disease. She and the other cult members use a "special" method to cure the people from this ailment and make them pure.
"Oh my! I'm afraid all the Licenses are in another room for some finishing touches. Would you like to accompany me and see if yours is done?"
"Sure."
"You're gonna love it."

Okay, I think I should stop now... As for the woman, she'll be suspended anytime in the next couple of days, probably even arrested, now that the story is out and gaining tremendous publicity. Here's what her husband had to say:
"I'm an old redneck hillbilly, that's all I've got to say. Don't come knocking on my door."

Regardless of what she believes, she works for the State, which adheres to rulings from the Supreme Court. If her religious convictions prevent her from doing her job properly (which they clearly do), guess what? She doesn't belong performing that job. Whether she walks away of her own accord or she's fired doesn't matter to me. Just stand aside.

"God's authority", just like the State's, takes a backseat to a Supreme Court rulings. Whether she likes it or not.

I am sitting here listening to talk radio out of Cincinnati and the hot topic of discussion is this very issue. Apparently she has signed a book deal and there is already development on a (propaganda) film in the works.

I get that feeling with many Muslims in my community. Music, swearing, dressing immodestly, smoking, avoiding prayers and many more sins are seen as minor but when it comes to homosexuality, pork and alcohol, that's when they bring up "but I'm a Muslim." Their stupidity is frustrating. Don't get me wrong, everyone sins but if any of these three in particular are practiced, you're looked down upon. I still don't get why homosexuality is disliked the most.

Christians, as a group, have to be the biggest whiners in America. Don't get me wrong, black people are big babies also, but I honestly think Christians are worse. At least black people were never the majority when they were whining.

As a Christian, I've never been against gay marriage. I recognize marriage in this country is a business and nothing more. You even have to sign a government improved contract basically in order to get married. Where is the sanctity in that? I think even most Christians recognize that there's no sanctity in marriage any longer; those against it just don't like gay people, much like this woman. That's all it is.

And Sly, I would say Americans are whiners period, especially in the Social Media Age. Everyone is a victim of something. Everyone is discriminated against one way or another. Everyone's future is looking bleak because of the way things are currently. Etc. Etc. Etc. This entire nation is filled with whiners, which is a shame because it then makes those with legitimate complaints not be taken as seriously as they should be.

As a fellow Christian, it really is a shame that these people are the ones who get the most attention. Yes she's a Christian, but she also comes off as such a holier than thou mess that it's distracting from what she's trying to say.

As for marriage, I really don't want to hear that gay people who have been together for years are destroying its sanctity when you can go to a drive thru "chapel" in Las Vegas where an Elvis impersonator will marry you for $40 and have it be totally legal. Take that and my parents having eight divorces between them and these arguments look dumber and dumber all the time.

I hope they can get Kirk Cameron on this project.

Omg, this has made it to the forums? This is all I've been talking about on Facebook for the past few weeks. I'm from Kentucky. Actually very close to where this is happening. What's more is that she's not the only one to do this. The others are just not fame ****es and actually believe what they say. Wrong as they are, they actually believe it.

I read a great article on a Christian magazine's website about how Christian Americans had a persecution complex. Their logic was basically "There's no persecution, there's even a TiVo category for Christian movies".

Wouldn't it be much more simple to just fire her? Such a dog and pony show.
