Occasional Pre-Show
Its there in the title folks. I'm asking if you can recall any instances where Kayfabe has been broken. The examples you choose may or may not have been intentional. This could be Russo-heavy.

*I remember Ken Shamrock calling Undertaker by his first name Mark in an angry program around Backlash 1999. Taker was in his Ministry phase at this stage. I know Vince Russo was booking at this time so thta might explain it. It didnt do anything to further the storyline at all, it was just odd.

*How about Vince's ill-fated Million Dollar Giveaway? When the stage fell on him you could audibly hear him calling out to HHH saying 'Paul, Paul'. At least on this occasion you could argue they were trying to make it seem real.

*The night after Royal Rumble 1995 it happened. Tatanka and Bam Bam Bigelow were upset by Bob Holly and the 123 Kid, much to the delight of Lawrence Taylor. Bigelow aggressively shoved him in the aftermath setting up their WM11 encounter. As Raw came on the air, it was announced that Scott 'Bam Bam' Bigelow was indefinately suspended. This was pretty strange at the time as the internet was in its infancy and hearing real names just wasnt a normal happening. I liked this example actually

So what say you, noble squires of WZ? Can you think of any?

I think Piper referenced Marellas recent Arrest and had a Picture. Piper was involved but i may have mistaken marella for someone else. I think i read it under kayfabe on Wiki.

You could say Punk hinting when he was on commentary on A-Ri: "He looks dressed for court." Granted maybe this could slip by but still.

And I remember Anderson calling Hogan as Terrance a month or two ago.

The Madison Square Garden Incident. That's possibly the biggest moment in kayfabe-broken history. Nash and Ramon getting a proper send-off by Michaels and Triple H was something none of us could have predicted, since half the crew were playing heels when this occured. And the only one to get punished for it was H, which made me respect The Game more than I ever have.

The New Blood 2000 incident between Goldberg, Nash & Russo even though it was worked. But god was that stupid and achieved nothing.

The Bash At The Beach 2000 incident where Russo acknowleged Hogan wasn't willing to lay down for Jarrett.

I remember a promo between Vince & Rock in 99 where Rock was against Vince bringing in Big Show to The Corporation and Vince went on to tell Rock that he made him and called him by his real name "Dwayne". Actually Michael Cole just called Rock, "Dwayne", this past Monday on Raw.

How about CM Punk right after Jeff Hardy got arrested? He made some comments about how that's what he would expect from Jeff Hardy. I believe this was at the forgotten PPV called Breaking Point.

The most humourous example I can think of is Brian Pillman in WCW when he was feuding with Kevin Sullivan. First, Sullivan was the booker at the time and, in an "I Respect You" match, Pillman said "I Respect you, booker man!" Then, later on in the feud, the storyline called for Pillman to be kayfabe fired from WCW. Pillman convinced Sullivan and Eric Bischoff to give him termination papers to make it seem more real. The papers Pillman got was 100% legit and he used it to leave WCW and go to WWF.

Kayfabe is always broken on Twitter. You will see face wrestlers tweet heel wrestlers and even take pictures with them. I have seen pictures of WWE heel and face divas sitting together and even TNA knockouts doing the same thing. It isn't a huge deal today as it was before though. I even saw Eric Bischoff, Kurt Angle, and James Storm in Subway last year. They were feuding against each other in the main event that night. I guess it really didn't matter since my friends and I were the only ones that noticed them.

Triple H making fun of Kofi Kingston for losing his accent and asking him if he really was from Jamaica was another hilarious broken/ignored kayfabe rule on Raw. It doesn't happen all the time, but the rules are more leaner nowadays. 20 years ago faces riding with heels on road trips was a big no no. Today it isn't seen as a huge deal.

CHAZ
Oh Vince Russo. He thought a way to get the guy from Beaver Cleavage over was to have him say "I can't do this anymore" during an interview, which of course lead to an interview of him thanking the creative team and writers, and him wanting to have fun, be himself and to just live his dream.

Ivory
She was doing a thing of inviting people into the ring for a title shot. A person came in, then tried to leave which made Ivory say that this is all fake anyways.

That Goldberg/Nash/Steiner at NBR.

Undertaker
During the Ministry of Darkness thing. The announcer kept saying that this was just supposed to be a character but Undertaker started to actually believe that he is really Undertaker.

the Matt Hardy/Edge/Lita debacle. When he attacked Edge he called Lita by her real name, Amy. Right after that he called her a ****e. Damn that is one moment that will always stick out in my mind.
