Jurassic Park 4: Starring Chris Jericho

I am still waiting to jizz if the Macho Man comes out (I know, wishful thinking)... after all, Vince did just out his DVD, right? I wasn't thinking about this "three legends v. Jericho" match being a swerve... but I really hope that you guys are all right! I like the Kennedy idea too... but however that fued comes together down the line, you had better bet that it will be my favorite... I won't even know who to pull for! Anyways, MACHO MAN for WM25!!!

If that Pomp and Circumstance for Macho Man's music starts blasting through

The Reliant Stadium it will be the absolute best Wrestlemania moment....at

least for us fans that know all the rumors and that shhh with

McMahon....OHHH YEAAAAAA

I'd literally shit myself, literally, I'd have to break out the floor cleaner.

It sucks Jericho is stuck in this shit storm of a match. I'm with everyone else and hope that Austin comes out or something. As much as I love Piper, Flair and Steamboat, it isn't the same when these guys are not active in any way anymore. I'd take a Sid run-in at this rate.

As a huge fan of Chris Jericho, I have been impressed with how hard he has worked to make this thus far shitty angle something good. But really, there is only so much that anyone could do with what he has been given. I give him props for sticking with it and trying to make it work. The promos he gave were all pulled off greatly.

Any fan of his right now has to be upset that he has been given this when he is capable of so much more. Maybe they realize that Jericho is the only one who could pull something like this off the way he has, but it still completely blows. Like the rest of you, I am hoping that it's a swerve and he get's a real match at Mania instead of this sham.

Lord knows Chris deserves better than this clusterfuck; shit I would rather Goldberg come out than Piper,Steamboat, and Snuka and Ric Flair. Vince better have something up his sleeve or there will be another rating battle for has the worst raing Raw or Impact.

I have to believe that this isn't the finished product for the storyline.

IF Hogan is involved then he has just had back surgery... Maybe Vince put this in place as a stop off until they see what condition Hogan is in for this week?

Maybe it's Austin? was Austin working on his new movie last week? This might have been a stop off gap till this week.

Either way it's starting to worry me now because we all know if nothing happens this week on RAW then there is not enough time to develop another storyline in time for Wrestlemania.

I still believe that Rourke is included in all storylines just to basically get a hit in on Jericho to set up for the other opponents finish.

If its stays as it is then all i can do is pray for Hogan and Austin for the 4th years on the trot... (Yes i know it'll never happen but don't ruin my dreams!!!)

I'm thinking that hulk hogans music is gonna start playing at wrestlemania 25 and out to come help the legends will be.... Haas Hogan
=]

come on charlie, do it for the legends!

You know what? You might be on to something. I was trying to come up with someone to have the Legends in his corner. Someone who could deliver a good match and get the HUGE rub by facing Jericho. I came up with Kennedy. R-Truth actually does make a whole hell of a lot more sense. Nicely done.

No offense to R-Truth, as the guy is over with the fans, but he's not even close to Jericho's league in terms of wrestling ability, amongst other things. That for starters wouldn't make me look forward to the match.

And besides that, this angle appears to be on it's last legs, with the possible 3-on-1 handicap match. Who knows, WWE might have planned this all along and then blow us out of the water, and I feel if they want to save this angle they are going to have to pull something pretty damn awesome out the bag, and for me, R-Truth wouldn't be the shock and wouldn't get the HUGE pop that this angle requires to make it work.

To save this angle, it requires Austin, Hogan, Savage, Bret Hart or even someone as incredibly random and unexpected as Goldberg for example.

R-Truth just doesn't do it, at all.

Ric Flair against Chris Jericho would suck, they said. Flair coming out of retirement would make WrestleMania's match for Chris Jericho totally horrible, they said. I want anything other than Flair against Jericho, they said.

I'm wanting to single handedly kick everyone who represents "they" in the fucking nuts. Because I blame each of you for this shitfest we just got stuck with. Seriously, instead of one Beyond his Prime "Legend".. we now get two WELL beyond their prime "Legends" in Piper & Snuka, and a guy that was never even remotely interesting enough barring ONE Mania III match-up, in Steamboat.

And the worst part.. it's a 3 against 1 match. Those are the worst fucking matches to have on Pay per view. They're pointless and ******ed.. and to boot, the heel is the one with the numbers against him. T.N.A has finally found their way into the Creative room at W.W.E HQ.
:lmao: at this post Will.

Why in the world would we want to see Flair vs. Jericho more than Piper/Snuka/Steamboat vs. Jericho? Ric Flair is every bit as terrible as any of those. Second of all, saying that Steamboat wasn't remotely interesting beyond one match, is completely ridiculous, and I would expect better from you.

Don't get me wrong, this match will suck. The build-up has been a let down, and it seems obvious to me that the WWE had about 3 possible scenarios before it started, and all them have been taken from them so they're left with this. But, to say it would have been better for Flair vs. Jericho is laughable.

I don't know if anyone else has thought of this, but why not have Chris Jericho vs R Truth at WM25....This whole angle started when Chris Jericho took shots at Mickey Rourke. R Truth was one of Rourke's co-stars in the movie "The Wrestler". R Truth vs Jericho wouldn't be a bad match and I think it would give Truth the rub he needs to be one of the top guys in WWE. Plus the fact that R Truth is from North Carolina and grew up watching all these mid-atlantic legends like Flair, Steamboat, Snuka, Piper, etc...it would make sense for him wanting to defend the legends.
Wow...just wow.

If no one else has thought of that, it's for good reason. R-Truth has ZERO business being anywhere near Chris Jericho. Maybe if he would learn how to work, could put on a decent match, be interesting in the ring, and be able to cut a promo, we could talk. But as for now, not a chance.

The reason I came up with the Kennedy angle was because, as far as I know, he's been cleared to return since around No Way Out. I don't know if they're holding him off TV for something big, or just holding him off TV until after Wrestlemania as punishment for getting injured and ruining their plans for him so often.

Actually, there is someone on the roster who actually would make a little more sense that Mr. Kennedy, being involved in the angle I mentioned on the last page. That man:

R-Truth

Think about it. He is IN The Wrestler WITH Rourke. They brought him in with a series of vignettes and really seemed to be setting him up for a big push. He seems very over with the crowd. He is featured prominently on the main Wrestlemania page, despite not having a match.

Either of those two guys would benefit greatly from the rub of such a major match with, as I mentioned in that last post, the #1 heel in the WWE today.

No offense to R-Truth, as the guy is over with the fans, but he's not even close to Jericho's league in terms of wrestling ability, amongst other things. That for starters wouldn't make me look forward to the match.

I agree. R-Truth would be a let down for me as well, as my original choice for Jericho's opponent is Mr. Kennedy. R-Truth makes a little more sense I guess, sicne he was in the film with Rourke, and I just think that for this angle to prove most valuable, it's best for a young guy to get the huge rub that would inevitably come with being involved with the WWE's #1 Heel, Chris Jericho, at Wrestlemania. Not blow it on someone random who could return and be mega-over anyway like Goldberg or Hogan.

When i saw RAW this past week I was more than dissapointed about the idea of Jericho vs. Piper, Steamboat, and Snucka. I've been browsing through everyones post all week and I've been doing some thinking. I would bet my top dollar that THIS is not going to be the match. I mean come on it's Wrestlemania XXV.....This is the biggest Wrestlemania of all time. Its by far bigger than Wrestlemania XX and that was top 5 Wrestlemania for me. And this is prob going to be Vince McMahon's last BIG Wrestlemania. He'll prob be around for the 35th Anniversary but really which is bigger 25 or 35. I can pretty much rule out Hogan due to his surgery; however, due to his legal situation it wouldn't hurt for that pay out. Austin is pretty much a definate. I saw the vid of him on TMZ recently and he looks like he's in great shape compared to what he was a year ago. Maybe it's just for the movie, maybe not. I know Macho Man is def not going to happen but a guy can dream can't he..lol...check out this link to a youtube vid and imagine his music blasting through Reliant Stadium with modern day Staging, Lighting, Audio. It would be the biggest Wrestlemania moment, IMO.. youtube.com/watch?v=N7wodynnSRg&feature=related

I can only hope this match will be changed somehow and that WWE is trying to fool us right now. If that isn't the case then bleh. What a waste of a great potential match up.

how about a 'nwo formation' style angle where jericho destroys one of the legends earlier during 'mania itself and then flair comes out saying there'll still be three legends fighting. The match starts with two on one and towards the end, someone like Austin, Savage or Hogan makes an entrance, looks to join the legends and turns on them, siding with Jericho and help to destroy the oldies. Wouldn't involve much in the sense of wrestling so could be done regardless of the condition of the wrestler involved. I know it sounds desparate, but I'm goin to be at my first WrestleMania and they're wasting the greatest asset they have in y2j!

R-Truth was in 'The Wrestler' & I also agree It would make better sense. Would rather see that then this HandiCRAP they got planned.

And Besides - Did anybody go back to get a glimps of that Mania Poster?? R-Truth is on there & the only one in that Poster who dosen't have a Mania Match.

Huge Easy Idea to change this whole thing around & make this match. His NAME could really help us out. Come Monday Night Raw hopefully Mickey Rourke via satellite or Ric Flair in person could tell Jericho that the whole handicap match idea was a BIG LIE!!

He or They could say "You want to know who your really gonna take on at Wrestlemania??" "You want the TRUTH??, Here's the TRUTH!!"

Hey I forgot about this - Keep this in mind

The match is NOT confirmed yet!! It's not in the Wrestlemania Site at WWE.com yet!!

But R-truth is ass in the ring the guy is absolutely terrible, he's a cross between Jack Evans and a poor mans Booker T, and he has nothing to do with the legends or this storyline what so ever

Just because someone is on the poster for a PPV doesn't mean shit, those poster are made months in advance and a shit load of things change between the time the poster is made and the time the PPV actually happens, using the PPV poster to determine who is going to be on the PPV is just stupid

No, just no, I rather he wrestle Lawler at least that would make sense

Prolly cause Jeribore just issued a challenge, they still need to come out an accept

I had another idea last night that pretty much is the same as my Legends Lumberjack match only they make the match No DQ, or under "Texas Death match Rules" and have Terry Funk come out a wrestle Jericho instead, it would be a much better option than what they have going on right now

So much could've been great. The story could've been epic but that won't happen now. The handicap match will have to do. I think the legends will win, but I would not be surprised if Jericho pulls this off and continues this heat he's getting. The guy should hopefully be back in the title picture after this match.

How about this one we know JBL keeps mentioning that he will do something historic at WM25 so how about he turns face again and help the legends defeat Jericho at wrestlemania and cut a promo the next night on raw saying he too is a legend and he will not allow his fellow legends to be disrespected by someone like jericho. This could re-ignite their feud and instead their roles would be vice-versa,jericho the heel and JBL the face. They could have the feud lead up to a Career on the line match where jericho could force jbl into his rumored retirement from wrestling.

I know this may seem like a dissapointment as many thought austin or hogan would return for one final match but this is something that i just thought about moments ago.

Also people keep saying how about randy savage, well that would be great and awesome but i dont think it would work very well because most of todays fans dont know who he is because he has stayed out way to long.also if you haven't seen some recent pictures of him then you should,he is way out of shape for a match.I absolutely dont mean to insult him but randy savage appearing if he didnt have any problems with vince would just not seem big to many fans that dont know him.but then again i could always be wrong.

has it occured to anyone that this match is NOT YET listed on the official Wrestlemania 25 website?

I smell something cooking..

See I like the idea earlier of Jericho attacking a legend before the match, but I'd like to take it up a notch.

Jericho attacks all the legends between now and Wrestlemania.
He's already destroyed Flair, take them out before hand, leaving only one standing.
Destroy him before the match, then be left without an opponent, then have a big surprise sprung, like Stone Cold.

I'd even take this man: :robvandam:
He's showing up for these special appearances, so what bigger special appearance could he make?

Just an idea anyway, no doubt we're going to be stuck with the craptacular that will be this match.

And also, the match is now, unfortunately, official by means of wwe.com

http://www.wwe.com/shows/wrestlemania/matches/

Why couldn't Hacksaw Jim Duggan face Jericho? He fits all the criteria, plus he's already a competing member of the roster.

I'm looking forward to King v. Jericho next week.

This may be a random question to some...but, am I the only person who thinks that Big Show had it way worse last year at WM24, than Jericho has this year? People can complain about Jericho having to job to "three old people" all the want but atleast he didnt have to job to a damn boxer, like Big Show had to do last year. Big Show came back at NWO last year, only to job to a damn 130lb boxer. Jericho may have to lose to Snuka, Piper, and Steamboat but atleast they are actual wrestlers. I think some fans should atleast consider that. What do yall think? BTW, I just joined this forum and I didnt realize that there was another person here with "deadman Inc" as their username. So for that, I apologize.

Well, this is fuckin terrible. Just terrible. the only way they can hope to save this is a Austin run in at the very end for a stunner and the save. Besides that, if Jericho doesnt totally dominate this, then itll be a farce, and a complete embarassment. Itll likely be an emberassment anyway. None of the three involved can barely move anymore, and most of them dont even have real huge name recognition, besides Piper. The more I think about it, the more beligerent I become about it. This match wouldnt even be acceptable at a fucking "B" show. It has Cyber Sunday written all over it. This would even be a waste of a segment on fucking RAW. When Rourke pulled out, they shouldve just scrapped thia entire thing, and Put Jericho into the WHC match...or SOMETHING. Act like that idea wouldnt have been better than what the fuck we have now...

The way this HAS to go, to provide any saving grace, and value to Jericho's stock is to have him dominate from wire to wire, with SCSA making a run in at the very end, for a stunner, and one of the legends to get a pin. Its the only way anything can be preserved here.

Yeah I'm with NorCal here, if this is the best the WWE can do for Chris Jericho at Wrestlemania, then they are seriously underutilizing a great talent here. I know Mickey Rourke is a celebrity and every Wrestlemania needs a celebrity, but I can't help but think of 100 better options for Jericho than this clusterfuck. This looks like something TNA would do, and I'm not even being sarcastic. I don't know about you, but Jericho vs Rourke, Jericho in the World Heavyweight Title bout or Jericho in the Intercontinental bout would have been much better options. Instead we are stuck with a mega heel against 3 old, slow, wrinkly babyfaces. Handicap matches work better when the face has the disadvantage.

Roddy Piper, Jimmy Snuka and Ricky Steambout all do not deserve to beat Y2J at this stage of their careers. I don't give a damn if there's 3 of them, because I'm 17 and I could probably take all of these guys by myself. They're slow and weak, Jericho is the exact opposite of that, so logically he would win this match to gain some credibility. I think the best way to do this match is to have Jericho win the match cleanly against the 3 old buggers. Then have Ric Flair get his revenge of Jericho for all the bashing he's been dishing out on the legends, right before having Mickey Rourke jump over the guard fails and slap or punch Chris Jericho.

That way, everyone goes home happy. Either way though, this match is possibly one of the matches I'm least interested in. It simply isn't Wrestlemania 25 worthy. I can't help but think of how much better it would be for everyone if Jericho was involved in the clusterfuck that is the World Heavyweight Championship match, making it a fatal fourway. The fact that this match is on the card proves to me the WWE had absolutely no idea where to place Jericho on the card. And the sad fact is, it wasn't hard to place him in a better spot that this. If he somehow loses this match, then I will be really pissed off. No strong, super over and in his prime superstar should lose to three 60 year olds.

At the very least it should be a fun match. It's just a shame it's Jericho involved and not somebody like Santino. It could be a brilliant comedy match with him. But as it is it'll be serious Jericho and he just doesn't fit in with it.

You've got piper who hasn't had a quality match in 17 years, Steamboat who hasn't a match in 15 years and Sunka who hasn't been any good for 20 years. Overall it's a poor match, but I do think it'll create a WrestleMania moment.

It just doesn't do anything for Jericho.

I also like how they haven't fired Sim Snuka so his father still participates in the match. He'll be gone within six weeks.
