Jurassic Park 4: Starring Chris Jericho

it's going to be something stupid like him vs lawler or something. Look at the reaction he gave after the latest attack on steamboat. He'll be the guy who stands up for them all, and the match will suck. Rock won't come, Hogan can't, austin maybe but unlikely.

Truely sucks if you ask me

I guess they will keep it as a secret until Wrestlemania, even for Jericho (kayfabe, obvious).

Two or three weeks away from Wrestlemania, Lawler could come up to the ring when Jericho was bashing all the HOF and say that every legend and hall of famer of WWE are sick and tired of him, and so they gathered and they aproached the top legend of all time.

With that Jericho starts to attack every legend that he sees and try to take them all down, until Wrestlemania, when Y2J enters first and waits for his opponent, and then it could be Hogan, Warrior or SCSA, someone that could fit with the "top legend of all time" gimmick.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing last week on RAW. I hope it is a surprise...Macho Man will be great...and I think Stone Cold will be nice since they will be in Texas...please no Hogan....if Hogan then bring back Bret !!!

While watching last week's Jericho/Snuka segment, I started to really consider who he'd be facing at WrestleMania. The first choice that popped in to my mind as a serious possibility was Priceless.

Jericho has spent a lot of time beating on legends well past their days in the ring. With Orton being all but set to face Triple H for the title, the rest of Legacy will need a match-up. Why not have them break away from Orton, and go after Jericho? Being second generation superstars, they can turn face, and get themselves over with the crowd by defending the legacy (no pun intended) of their fathers, and other WWE Hall Of Famers by taking down the man that's been attacking them.

Sure, it'll be a handicap match, but Jericho is twice the star of them put together, and is good enough to carry them and put them over.

You all laughed at me when I came up with this one. This thread I made before NWO has spun off now three different threads about three different opponents Jericho could have, Piper, Savage, and now Priceless, and Austin and Rourke have also been mentioned at large in mine and in the other threads. My suggestion, we merge all of them into a Jericho vs... The World?!? thread, but that will be for the mods to decide.

Well still not official yet, the Jericho/Flair stock went up this monday when Ric Flair returned, costing Jericho his match. Now, Jericho is reportedly challenging Flair to a match on RAW. I doubt any sort of return match for Flair would ever be given away on free RAW TV, so one of two possible things will happen...

1) He'll accept a match with Jericho at Wrestlemania

or

2) He'll announce or bring out whoever Jericho will face at Wrestlemania, which could be any of the above mentioned, or anyone else from Hulk Hogan to Ricky Steamboat to Spaceman Frank Hickey.

Flair could accept Jericho's challenge, but I really don't want him to. Of the possible people he could pick, I'd go with Austin, Rourke, or Hogan. One hilarious idea that I thought of for Jericho would be the latest HOF inductee, Koko. B. Ware. It would definitely help make Koko's resume look a little more credible, especially if he were to win, and Jericho would be embarrassed to lose to what has to be the weakest member of the HOF. Plus Jericho does make references to Koko in his book, which could be used in some way.

i do not think he is going to fight a legend, but i do believe that the lumberjack match is a great idea, trot out all the hall of famers in attendance and whoever you can call up i am sure you can get 25 legends for mania 25, including flair piper snuka and steamboat. maybe he fights Batista or rey mysterio someone without a match but if the lumberjack match is a great fit.

Listen, who was a big supporter of Flair and even got into a feud with HBK over it ? Batista ! I have been reading that Batista may be ready to go by WM 25, so it would make sense if Flair would accept Jericho's challenge but for WM 25 and introduce the man who will be taking his place in the ring because he's retired, Batista ! It makes sense.

it's a good idea, but i don't see it happening. yes, ted and cody are 2nd generation wrestlers, but they don't respect the past. they've been billed to say f.u. to their fathers' generation...meanwhile just using their name to get ahead. it's a good idea...i just don't see it happening.. though, i was waiting a couple of weeks ago for sim snuka to come out....didn't happen..

No, because it's too soon to turn them face. If they'd come out and defend their father's honor, I don't see what else it could be percieved as.

They could always have Jericho + Priceless vs a Legend and their fathers.

This Jericho angle has me interested enough to finally post here, after months of lurking.

I think the best way for WWE to use this current angle would be to have Jericho have a gauntlet match against any WWE Hall-of-Famer or Old-timer who "wants one more go in the spotlight".

It would be amazing. Jericho could leave a wake of bodies in his path, Hacksaw, Snuka, Steamboat, Piper, hell, throw a Bushwhacker in there for good measure. All of them, getting destroyed, Jericho not breaking a sweat, codebreakers, walls of Jericho everywhere. Then WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, Flair's music hits, Jericho gets a huge grin on his face...this is who he wanted from the get go. Flair comes to the top of the ramp, in his suit. He cuts a nice promo and says that he doesn't need to get back in the ring again to prove himself to Jericho, he's retired, and he's staying that way. But he knows someone who might have one more match in him.

Then, the glass shatters, JR freaks out, Austin is here, Jericho is beside himself. Austin comes into the ring and obviously destroys Jericho, beers, you know the deal. Then Mickey Rourke comes into the ring, invited by Austin. They share some beers, celebrate, pose, and then Austin gives Rourke the stunner, the two finger salute and drinks more beers as Houston is in an uproar.

Tell me that isn't the best possible payoff to this angle.

I didn't have a chance to read every past post, so if someone mentioned something similar, my bad.

I think it's more likely we'll see Jericho in a legends gauntlet match. He'll easily go through the usual wrestlers, road agents and such. Slaughter, Jim Duggan, I.R.S. Before somebody like Piper comes out and gives him a slightly harder time, before Y2J beats him as well. Maybe Snuka, possibly even Flair. Before a very tired Jericho is taken out with a Stunner by Austin.

If Austin was going to wrestle The Coach at Taboo Tuesday 2005, then I'm sure he'd throw a few punches and give a Stunner at WrestleMania.

I said basically the same thing in another thread...Jericho vs Flair thread to be exact. Here it is:

to face Jericho at WM was Bret Hart, in shape, that would be a dream match for many and would be 5x more entertaining than the pathetic flair hbk garbage put on display last year...It would never happen I don't think, but just imagine the ratings boost and your own heart rate boost it would have...incredible

Bret Hart, in shape, could put on a good match with anyone at WM.. not just Jericho. I personally think it'd be awesome if Jericho were to face a "mystery" legend, when suddenly, ULTIMATE WARRIOR comes sprinting to the ring, delivers four shoulder tackles, and pins Jericho in less than a minute. Imagine THAT look of surprise on all of our faces.

I think the natural choice is Stone Cold Steve Austin. He's going into the Hall of Fame the night before and it's in his home state. Jericho has done a good job verbally abusing legends over the last few weeks, but no one gets the best of Austin on the mic. Imagine the crowd reaction for Austin coming back for his first match in six years. In Texas no less. I know Austin is in bad shape, but I think he could go out there for one more match. By the way, RAW is in Texas this Monday. Stay tuned.

Sorry if I misunderstood the post. Not sure if you meant only Bret Hart or if we were supposed to make a case for who the legend could/should be.

I dont think its a good idea. I mean, the Jericho match is one the most highly anticipated matches for WM25, the biggest WWE show to date. I just dont see them settling on something that could pass off as a Raw main event (I mean, when they announced HHH vs. Priceless as Raw's main event not too long ago, I was almost glad that it didn't happen, because, quite honestly, I didn't want to see it). If the WWE was smart about it, and hopefully they will be, they'll either have SCSA or a gauntlet of Legends versing Jericho at WM25. Anyway, Priceless has yet to impress in WWE. They're nothing but Orton's lackies thusfar. They don't deserve to be anywhere near the steaming-hot Jericho at WWE's biggest PPV ever.

I know, for one, my heart rate would skyrocket if The Hitman's music hit at Wrestlemania, as would most everybody's. That being said it wouldn't surprise me if it was done as a ruse by Jericho to tease the fans, seeing as how he's done it numerous times before with the theme music of other legends. On the other hand it would be a huge coup for Vince to pull off and I agree would make WM25 100x more entertaining.

If Bret Hart did return to face Jericho at WM I'd go nuts. And I'd be very happy I'm a huge Bret fan and would do anything to see him in the ring 1 last time.

It would be amazing if it were Bret Hart, but if it were they would boast about Bret Hart being at Wrestlemania for weeks if not months before the event. Bret would be a huge draw, even for those who no longer watch WWE. Think about all the extra buys they would get by telling everyone Bret Hart would be there. As awesome as it would be for Bret to be there, I just don't see any way they would do it without making sure Bret Hart's name was everywhere.

fossi984 how dare you call Flair VS HBK at WM 24 garbage! That was by far the most emotional match in wrestling history. I was there, and the drama and suspense was incredible. Flair's last match (I Hope) will go down as one of the most memorable mania matches ever like it or not.

For one, HBK/Flair at WM24 was not garbage, in fact, it stole the rather mediocore show.

And secondly, why would the Hitman return to face Jericho with little to no build up at WM25? Talk about a lack of story. No, either SCSA or a gauntlet of Legends will fight Jericho at WM25. As for Hart, it would be nice to see him return for a match, but I'm pretty sure we all know who it would HAVE to be against- Vince.

I could be wrong, but didn't Bret suffer a stroke + neck injuries that would keep him from wrestling again?

If he did come back, he'd hardly need a story, he'd be the story. So if this unlikely scenario happened I'd think it would be a huge Wrestlemania moment.. just wouldn't hold your breath.
