But here's an idea. Have the match for the World Heavyweight Championship a fatal four way. Cena vs Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton vs someone (not quite sure yet, Batista would have been perfect). Heck, have a McMahon in every corner again, like WrestleMania 16. Vince with Cena, Shane with the ?? (Again, Batista SHOULD be there), Steph with Orton and Linda with Jericho.

Leave Linda out and have a triple threat. 1) Because Linda has not been involved in ages so bringing her back would be a waste to me and 2) because no one else on RAW deserves to be in with the other three.

Jericho, Orton and Cena ARE RAW.

But back to topic, Flair has had his big moment, he is not having another one just a year later. And the fact Jericho should be wasted in a match with a washed up old superstar is a disgrace. Jericho has been one of the best things of WWE this last 12 months, and to have him lose (which he will have to do) would be pathetic.

I'd personally have him face Taker, but HBK is down for that.

So me answer to the question should Flair wrestle at Mania? HELL NO

I think to end this entire saga they should scrap off this whole Rourke, Flair or any other Legend taking on Jericho idea. Forget all that & just put him into this years Money In The Bank Ladder Match & to me I think he should win it.

Just like Triple H, Jericho is also due for a win at Mania as well. The last time he won was back at WM17 against William Regal. The losing streak started at WM18 against Triple H.

Jericho is going to be facing WWE hall of famer at Wrsetlemania, but it will not be Flair. I could see it being Austin if he's able to, or I could also see it being Hulk Hogan. But the way they have brought this angle along it looks like it is going to be some legend.

Jericho will not face Flair, to be honest I don't think creative know who they will pit against Jericho. He may have some segment/entertainment angle at WM. Since Jericho is a heel chances are the legends will get the better of him.

From this weeks Raw, it appears this is the direction they are going.
I thought the Jericho\Piper segment on Raw was outstanding, Piper did
an incredibly emotional promo that crossed very well into a shoot without
going overboard and Jericho stayed in character even though you could see
he was having trouble doing so.
Now, if they do this match, it won't be a great wrestling match, but it
would be at the same level as Rourke vs Jericho, which is to say, Jericho will
have to carry the whole match, but at least with Piper, he has someone with
experience to work with, and Piper at his age, can still perform in his style,
he was never Rey Mysterio or Bret Hart.
I think they should go and sign this match for two reasons.
1) Piper's real life character is very similar to the character from "The Wrestler" a mega superstar in the 80's, now living on memories.
2) The very publicized friendship with Mickey Rourke could lead to an assist
from Rourke to win the match, let's face it, Piper can't win this one on his own, and a few punches from Rourke and maybe even the "Ram Jam" could
make the involvement of Rourke limited but effective.
Finally, I think Piper deserves to be on WM 25, he was on WM 1, without
Piper, it would not have been a success, Piper was the Jericho of those
days and giving him one last shot in the spotlight is a great way to show
appreciation to veterans that have given so much to the business.

You made it sound alot better to me than what I originally thought of the match.Naturally I'd prefer it be Austin or Hogan but were unsure if we'll get that. A Punk/Jericho match would be a much better wrestling match but it wouldn't make as much sense.I'll say this you've made me believe it could work. I just don't know if its the direction they should go or if I even want them to.

I don't think so. I honestly think it'll be Jericho vs Austin at WM 25. I think Jericho will continue bashing legends, then one more will come out every week, he beats them down, until eventually Austin shows up to shut Jericho up. Jericho then challenges Austin to a match a WM to prove his superiority not only over Austin, but to the other legends.

There have been rumors of Austin showing up at 'Mania, possibly for a match. Even he said he would "under the right circumstances". It's the 25th annivesary of Wrestlemania, in Texas, and he's being inducted into the hall of fame this year. The only thing that would make it more perfect would be for beer to rain down from the heavens.

Other legends could be at ring side too. Maybe even Rourke could show up for an assist, though I doubt it. But I definatley feel it'll be Austin against Jericho, not Piper.

Austin Vs. Y2J. Hell yeah.
If it is not happening..well I can see Punk as Jericho`s opponent...but it does not make sense storyline wise. Can`t really find anyone else for him. I just hope he has a high profile match for this WM anniversary..he deserves it.

u think stone cold gonna stand back there for another min. and see another legend go donw? eh ehh!!so tell u wat son...ol stone cold has one more match left in him...and i want u for wrestlemania...(at fans) if u want to see the rattlesnake kick the living hell out of y2j give me a hell yeah!!(hell yeah)then we end that withe stare down while celebrating with a steveweiser and glass shaterring in the background. or we can go with a standard jericho promo but this all should happen like a week or 2 before "the granddaddy of them all" wrestlemania. so to end it all,the whole illustrious career of stone cold we shoudl have him go over in this match for sure and (this is where it grabs u and gives u that warm hearted wrestlemania moment) we should have steve walking up the ramp greeted by all those legends that were beat down, to solidify his legend and hall of fame status....well i know that was long but im a huge stone cold mark. so yeah tell me what u guys think. i would really appreciate it as much as u guys reading this whole damn post. thank u...

I'd hope for Austin, i'd be in the toilet throughout the duration of the match if it was Jericho v Piper. The same goes for if it were Jericho v Hogan. N-O-T I-N-T-E-R-E-S-T-E-D, but thanks anyway.

I don't want to watch Jericho kicking a beat down HOF'er and having to rely on cheap heat to keep the fans attention, only to turn around and get a flurry of punches followed by a ye olde signature move and then the match is over. Total waste of time.

I dont think thats entirely correct. I believe he is appearing on next weeks RAW (23rd Feb) and then later on March 16th. So its a little more spread out then that.

Well, I have no clue either where they are going, but, if they want to involve
Rourke, it's one way to go.
I'd prefer Austin myself, but there's no ties between Rourke and Austin, meanwhile Piper has ties that have crossed over into mass media.
If Rouke is completely out as far as involvement in the match, then Austin
would be the way to go.
I'd see it playing out with Jericho dominating the whole match, then Piper makes a comeback, but Jericho recovers and beats the living hell out of Piper,
perhaps throwing the referee out, Rourke jumps the rail to make the save,
faces Jericho, Piper low blows Jericho, "Ram Jam" from Rourke, ref recovers and counts out Jericho and it's over. You got a memorable moment from "The
Wrestler" in the signature move of the main character, you got a possibly
Academy Award winning actor performing it on Wrestlemania 25, the mass
media TV and newspapers would eat that up.
Best of all, Jericho loses no heat at all.
Call me crazy, but it sounds very doable to me.

personally i think there needs to be at least that much build up. have austin show up and talk about being inducted. have jericho meet him in the hall way and say you did it right austin youre taking your glory and walking. just dont pull a ric flair and disappoint me then walk away have austin return a couple weeks later and say that what chris jericho said to him as he was leaving has been eating away at him and he wants to confront jericho lead to jericho taunting from the titan tron about how austin is doomed to end up just like flair and piper austin goes to the back and jericho ambushes him with a chair. one week later jericho is gloating about taking out the newest washed up legend when austin's music hits he comes out from behind jericho stunner-beer-challenge for an ass whipping at wrestlemania and there you have it.

Big sexy beat me to it but I think that the person Jericho is facing at WM is Hogan. Hogan is still working out a deal with Vince and I know that Undertaker and Shawn Michaels have been the faces of WM for several years now but Hogan (as horrible a wrestler as he is) put WWF on the map, and was one of the main reason people wanted to watch WM. Yeah, Piper was there and many other popular guys but Hogan main evented several WM. Hogan is a WM legend and he is the one that is facing Jericho.

If this happens I shall be extremely pissed. It will kill Flairs match t the last wrestlemania, just for Jericho to go over.

But I can't see it happening. Its to soon for flair to return, and would have an awful load of ring rust to be able to have a good match at Wrestlemania it would be a horrible match.

I'm sure that Jericho could find a better possible fued with a decent employed wrestler by Wrestlemania. rather then having to wrestle Ric flair.

OK i really hope this doesnt happen because it will completely tarnish flairs amazing send-off. I think everyobnes pretty much unanimous about that.
But who will Jerihco face? It doesnt look like it will be Mickey Rourke(although anything can happen). I also dont think it will be Roddy Piper. Maybe it will be Jerry Lawler?? He had a very strong reaction to Jericho's actions over the last few weeks, maybe he'll step in and try to shut him up. Plus, Lawler is a true legend but he has never had the priviledge of wreslting at wrestlemania which is a shame. This match with Jericho would rectify that. Lawler would make perfect sense.

Piper does deserve to be at Wrestlemania 25, for sure. But in a none wrestling role. I don't think it's a very good idea to have Piper v. Jericho. I heard rumors of Austin v. Jericho which I rather see then anything else. NO FLAIR!!!! For god sakes leave it be. The retirement at Wrestlemania 24 was one of the all time classic moments in Wrestlemania history and needs to be left alone. This is one of the very few things WWE could actually keep in tact. Flair's at the age where this retirement angle could actually stay legit. Let Flair go!!!!

Exactly. After the super-emotional match with ric flair and hbk last year, they can'just bring him back a year later and give him another match. After all the effort put into retiring ric flair, it would cheat all of us if he had another match. You guys have probably forgotten the aftermath of the retirement match. We saw a great fued between hbk and batista, the jericho heel turn, and the unforgettable fued between chris jericho and hbk. It would ruin everything IMO.

With the legends getting involved with Y2J now. I could see a Austin vs Y2J match for WM 25, if Austin is willing and the legends would be involved, maybe as lumberjacks. That would be interesting and cool imho. A good way to get some legends involved for the 25th anniversary. Maybe you could have some run ins too like Mickey Rourke, or maybe he is in the crowd and gets involved..

Also I could see HHH vs Orton now after the last Raw. And maybe the aftermath will involve HHH or Shane making his own group against the legacy. Like with people they had kicked out like Manu and Snaku..
