John Laurinaitis Doing A Good Job As IGM?

Laurinitis is doing a good job, apart from continually fluffing his lines up.
He will continue to be the GM of Raw until such time we have a heel Champion.
Im personnaly hoping WWE continue with Punk on top and have him bring in guys like Animal and Shane Douglas to rip on Johnny boy from his past. I love how he brings up All Japan and WCW when burying him, gives the true fans something to smkile about.

I think hes done an excellent job. So much so that I hope they make him the full time GM. He just has this quality that I've never seen before in an authority figure in wrestling. He is able to come off as a bumbleling fool and an evil jackass at the same time. He actually fits well into the kid friendly aspect of the WWE because he is almost like a villain in a Saturday morning cartoon. One minute he's causing people pain and agony and the next he's slipping on a banana peel. Maybe some of that has to do with the fact that he is generally uncharismatic but even that adds to his character in some odd way.

Im actually starting to like him.. He's funny, :wtf: Even though.. he can be boring but i do find him very amusing at times, I Definitely enjoy him more than a bloody computer.

I have to say the Executive Vice president of Talent relations and Interim General Manager of Monday Night Raw is doing a decent job. But I don't like the fact Ryder to to jump through flaming hoops to get his title shot.

John Laurinaitis' lack of personality makes me sympathize for him more than hate him. When CM Punk speaks to Laurinaitis, he comes across as a teacher in a public school getting run over by the class clown. The only thing heelish about him are some of his decisions and the fans hating him for being boring/flubbing lines very often. Other than that, he doesn't have enough personality to classify him as anything.

For me his feud with Punk is boring. Raw was worth watching for Punk vs Vince/HHH alone in the summer but you had the added dimension of Cena in the mix aswell. Laurinitis has nowhere near the appeal Vince and HHH had and The Miz and del Rio added nothing to it either. Punk needs more to bite on to make Raw interesting again. Hopefully 1.2.12 will give us that. Perhaps alongside that Laurinitis will become more relevant and a stronger character. Just now he has no little appeal to me

I think hes great for the job. His entire demeanor can get you to hate him in a matter of seconds. Hes a perfect adversary and enabler for guys on the RAW roster and hes someone who holds an actual position backstage so hes more believable.

I think he's doing his job well. He kinda gets the GM Bischoff heat, but to a lesser extent obviously. What I mean by that is he isn't one of those cool heels that people want to cheer, yet he isn't horrible to the point of getting actual X-Pac, Cena or Cole type heat. He is the perfect balance. He has no likeability factor, but he isn't hated. He gets actual heel heat, which should be his goal. And I don't mind that he seems "boring". That only makes you hate him more. And plus, I thought he showed improvement in this past week's RAW

i think he is doing a good job..we need someone that we can actually hate..and i HATE laurinaitis and if he keeps getting a little more controversial and a little more cocky he will be good!

triple h was boring as gm, definitely, because it was obvious from the start he was never going to let anyone get over at his expense, ace is funny and is completely self-deprecating, i think hes doing a good job personally

I'm really enjoying JL as GM, I thought his opening promo this past week on Raw was great, and I was really hoping to see him in the ring.. I hope he is announced as the Official GM and not just the "Interim"

What has he really done to make people hate him? The seeds of evil Vince were planted with the Montreal Screwjob. JL needs to commit similar dastardly deeds before people will really hate him. Right now he seems like more of a bumbling caricature than anything else.

Honestly, there is no REAL way to distinguish "go away" heat from "you are a good heel" heat. I repeat, NO REAL WAY. Some people find them so annoying they would like to kick them out of their viewing screens, others will find them so unique they are good heels. Vickie Guerrero is a good example of that. Sure, at first, she is almost having the "go away" heat, but now, it is hard to decide.

That said, John Laurinaitis is doing a good job as IGM.

I read the report on the front page of WZ which claimed WWE officials are concerned with the recent ratings drop and has therefore considered putting the title(s) on other people, since the current champs aren't draws.

Now, consider for a moment, if you will, that there was a ratings spike when Punk first was let loose on the mic, yet now the ratings are plummeting. CM Punk telling HHH that Paul only got to the point where he is because he 'married up', THAT is compelling TV. CM Punk taking way too easy pot-shots at Johnny Ace isn't. So can't it be argued that the reason for the low ratings is because of Johnny Ace stinking up RAW?

I think it can, and it's mostly because while Ace might BE an authority figure, he doesn't FEEL like "the man". Sticking it to the man is a great way of telling a story, but "sticking it to dad" is a story that only draws in children, about to reach puberty (if that, even). And the Punk/Ace angle feels a lot more like DiBiase Jr vs DiBiase Sr than it feels like Austin/McMahon.

HHH at least has that aura of authority and we all have some vague notion of HHH having actual power in the company structure, that's why it worked - because the lines of kayfabe were blurred. With Ace, Punk might as well be "dropping pipebombs" on any random crowd member ... I was going to write "any low-card wrestler", but no, that'd be more compelling than tearing Ace a new one, because they are at least remotely relevant and Punk telling them they're in a hole would be interesting (and it's funny, because it's true, you know...)

I'm not convinced that Ace is doing anything for RAW other than making ratings drop by his involvement in the show.

I cannot stand him, he simply irritates me whenever he speaks! Which means he's doing alright! I can see myself and more people hating him even more if he's involved in more main events, like playing a role in CM Punks potential title loss that could happen on Monday. I'd rather see a more sadistic and evil side of him, than pretending to be a "mr nice-guy" especially towards Punk. There is definitely a recipe there, for him to be a strong heel, but don't see a Vince/Austin type feud happening any time soon!
