I can't believe Vince is giving Joey Styles crap about the way he announces yet again. This is getting rediculous. Vince just keeps hammering those nails in ECW's cascut. This is like the millionth time he's talked with Joey about this. He should have known Joey's announcing style from the start and he keeps badgering the poor guy thinking you can change him. You can't. Especially when his belief on calling the matches as an athletes match is as passionate as it is. Of all things Vince has shat on so far, can't he just leave this one simple thing alone?

Extreme Entertainment, criticizing Joey Styles, matches officiated under WWE Rules, stupid gimmicks like Fertig and Kelly Kelly (The Rated PG Exhibitionist). As far as I'm concerned, the 'E' in ECW stands for Entertainment, and they might as well change the 'C' to Crap and remove the 'W' since there's so little Wrestling, and that would leave us with EC: Entertainment Crap. It's just another brand of sports entertainment taped in front of a boring crowd, with nothing to distinguish it from the other brands. I mean, if you're not going to let ECW be ECW, what was the point of bringing it back in the first place? If you think the world doesn't have enough sports entertainment, why not just start up a brand with a completely new name - at least you wouldn't get hit with such blunt, much deserved criticism. Vinnie Mac is just violating and cheapening the name of ECW with this piss-poor excuse for a wrestling program.

am i the only one who misses when pro wrestling WAS portrayed as a "real" contest and the athletes/performers weren't just "entertainers"? Joey Styles commentary is big part of why ECW TV and PPVs were so great, it captured everything that was great not just about ECW but pro wrestling in general. why does everything now have to be so dumbed-down for the mass audience who tunes into RAW for boobies and people getting crap dropped on them? yes it's entertainment, we get that it's scripted but that doesn't mean it has to be complete idiocy. i think it's McMahon's idea to make everyone hate pro wrestling. Joey Styles is with the "big boys" now, let's turn him into Jim Ross so he can bore people to death :\

You know back in the day Jim Ross used to get the same lecture and he had to "adjust" the way he announced. I can't believe they're doing the same with Joey Styles. I think he's an amazing commenter because he calls it as it is and I love it when he has the "OH MY GOD" moments. They crack me up!

I find it humorous how this entire ECW thing has unfolded. They start it off by having Joey do a "shoot" saying that Vince made wrestling and "Wrestlers" a dirty word. So ECW's site is relaunched and the stars are called wrestlers. But in a few weeks they go from wrestlers, to rebels, and now extremists!?!

The whole ECW thing makes me sick, and reeks of Invasion 2001. Who are the guys that have been made to look good in the "New" ECW? Why guys who were WWE regulars of course, The Big Show, Kurt Angle and.. Test!? It's a crying shame how Vince can take something as utterly fool proof as relaunching ECW and turn it into a freakin' joke.

Paul Heyman IS ECW, let the damn guy run the show. All Vince had to do was back him with the money, instead everything about ECW that made it worth watching gets ripped away. A DQ. loss in ECW? I'm gonna go vomit.

And Vince getting on Joey's case once again makes me sick. Joey and Tazz make a hell of a team, alot better than JBL and Cole, and dare I even say King and JR who have gotten so stale together its ludicrous.

look if yall want the old ecw our wasting your time cuz vince is a control freak and cant stand the thought of hearing that the new ecs is successful cuz of paul heyman. either hes gonna have the glory or no one is. if u want anything relatively close to the old ecw youd have to go to tna or roh. but even tna is starting to slooooowly become wwe-like. anyone else notice how in the past month of impact ther have been a couple of dq losses where as in the previous four years there were 0. well anyway as far as joey styles goes i think he should just leave the company rather than deal with vince's shit and be forced to do somethin he hates and thats tell stories... is it just me or would anyone else like to see him in tna replacing dw

I'd love to see Joey Styles in TNA, but it's not going to happen, even if he wanted too, he can't just pick up his stuff and leave because he's only eight months into a contract that doesn't expire for another four years and four months (signed 5th Dec 05).
