Jim Ross NOT Calling WM 28

Good ole' J.R not calling Wrestlemania this year? That is a real shame. But it is not going to completely kill the overall product of the show. With the way the card is shaping up this year, I think I will be fine with Booker T, Jerry, and sadly Michael Cole calling the matches this year. It is obvious that J.R doesn't have anymore plans as a commentator for Wrestling anyway. He wants to focus on his outside hobbies. Wrestlemania will be fine without J.R, and J.R will be fine without Wrestlemania. No need for either parties to go out of their way to meet halfway. Although I will say I'm going to miss J.R commentary for Wrestlemania. He made actually listening to the matches much less painful than Michael Cole does on a weekly basis. He did his role in the WWE, and did it very well. But like many of the wrestlers, his time as a commentator has came and he is hanging up his gallon hat.

My only question is...how can you have a memorable wrestlemania moment without good ol' JR saying something memorable. like for example when his voice gave out after Chris Benoit won the WHC at WM 20. you could hear the emotion in his announcing. unlike Cole and (no offense) Lawler who sound like their just being fed their lines.

What about Mania 19 when Cole's voice was giving out?

I donno if it's because you guys grew up with JR, but I've never seen the fascination. To me he's just a charicature of himself. Constantly with the same "BAH GAWDS" and shit. It's not epic, it's video game commentary. It's "If X then Y" "If a high spot happens, the JR machine says "BAH GAWD" or "GOOD GAWD ALMIGHTY"". It's not epic, it's contrived.

To me, a LOT of JR's shit sounded more fed and fake than anything Cole says. Some of what Cole says sounds like it comes from his heart. Like when he talks about how dumb Booker sounds or how good he thinks Ziggler is. He's just more subtle about it. Cole is seriously underrated by most of you guys. I guarantee that within a few years most of you will look back and appreciate Cole.

Again, I think the problem is King. Someone else needs to take his job because he's doing nothing. King is like having a quarterback with no arms. Just kinda there, not really able to do anything.

It makes no sense to me. JR wants to call WM (as he stated on his twitter account, I think), so let him ! He is by far the best commentator ever in the history is wrestling. It is such a shame that he isn't calling WM today, I do hope he appears and calls a match.
