JEFF Hardy should have turned heel..

The reason that Jeff Hardy gets the BEST reaction from the crowd is that a good deal of the crowd is made up of little kids and teenagers with freakin' Jeff Hardy spandex sleeves. I understand that Jeff Hardy is a draw... I just don't understand WHY Jeff Hardy is a draw. I suppose it has to do with the fact that little kids always like the most annoying wrestlers...

I don't get how anyone thinks his character is interesting or exciting (damn do you hear how hard Jim Ross has to try to make the freakin' "Whisper in the Wind" sound like it's exciting)...

I agree that I really went off topic with my Hardy bashing... but it is no different from Cena bashing! I don't agree at all that Hardy is the best or most exciting talent, at all and that is why he is where he is... Jericho, Benjamin, Christian, Morrison, Kennedy, MVP ALL deserve to be more recognized than Hardy... I also like Knox dammit!

You don't understand why Hardy is a draw? He's hugely popular and he has exciting matches, isn't it pretty obvious why he's a draw?

And if the little kids are the ones who determine who gets the best reaction, then why do the older male fans generally drown out the kids cheering for John Cena with their boos, yet you never hear Jeff Hardy get booed? It's bullshit to say only kids like him, he's one of the only people who gets a great reaction from the WHOLE crowd.

Thanks King Patrick... you get it (even though my Hardy bashing may be a little extreme)... you are getting some rep from yours truly...

Burke187- I assume you are a Hardy fan, and I respect that... I would defend Jericho or Kennedy to the same degree... I just do not think Jeff Hardy is exciting for anything... and if he is supposed to be this big spot guy, and holy $%^& wrestler, then how come his match at WM25 sucked... if you can't do it on the big stage, then why bother... the last time that I was impressed by a Jeff Hardy move was when he did a flip off of the top of the cage onto Umaga (and not into a mattress or something in the dumpster with Orton)... the moments that he is good are few and far between, and his promos totally blow... with the point of this thread being the big deal about a Jeff Hardy heel turn, this accentuates my point... my point being that if I (and maybe lots of other 30-something wrestling fans who have seen it all) don't care about his character now... then how is him putting on more mascara, slappy fighting his equally boring brother, and acting "crazy" or "extreme" as a heel going to change that?

Yes, I understand that the prepubescent crowd would freak out and burn their Jeff Hardy arm sleeves if he became heel, but it wouldn't affect me at all... I would still not care about Jeff Hardy, and the most extreme enigma of all would still be the fact that anyone does...

Keep him face... he will probably have less championships that way...

I like Jeff Hardy, but I wouldn't consider myself a big fan, I thought his matches with HHH last year were great and his title win was the most exciting to watch probably since Benoit/Eddie in 04, but I can't stand his promos, his accent is just annoying.

I think it's unfair to judge him on his match at Wrestlemania, it was supposed to be a real personal war, a blood bath...and they get what, 11-12 mins? Could they have done anymore in that time? HHH had a bad match at WM, does that mean he sucks? Of course it doesn't.

And I never said he should turn heel, I think he should stay a babyface, Hardy and Rey Mysterio are 2 of the only people on the roster who I think just couldn't work as a heel.

I am surprised that so many fans and especially smarks give such a shit about Jeff Hardy... face it... he SUCKS! I don't think that he works as a character (face or heel)because he is not believable (you know, like Mysterio)... he looks like the freakin' "tortured soul" vampire kid who rode on your bus to school and had to sit up front near the bus driver beacuse everyone would beat him up and make him cry when he tried to sit in the back...

and this shows how utterly clueless so many people are.

um HELLO the kids who sit near the front of the bus ARE fucking wrestling fans!! have you ever BEEN to a wrestling event? How many people do you see there that are rich, good looking, fit, attractive people? Not really a whole lot. Wrestling fans in general are a sort of an outcast group, sort of rejects in their own way. Being a wrestling fan in the first place requires one to be at least a "little different" up to a LOT different. Jeff Hardy embodies every damn thing that the vast majority of 10 to 16 year old wrestling fans are, love, and wish to be. Probably why he is the most over face in the company. Think about the core audience before making silly statments like that. Its a horrid idea to turn him heel.

What Norcal says. Hardy as a heel would make no sense at all. Tons of fans would suddenly not have a Face to cheer for.

Oh, and merch sales. Damn, WWE would be stuck with all those wristbands and t-shirts. But, let's consider it from a show standpoint, not wrestling as a business.

A heel does what, get the crowd to boo him? Yeah, that's what he does. So he does that by cheating, using rest holds, and really any move that isn't overly flashy (read Randy Orton, only hopefully more entertaining). Because a flashy move gets the pop. And a heel's job is to avoid the pop.

I love Jeff Hardy, but what is his repertoire of moves? Twist of Fate (POP!!), Swanton Bomb (POP!!), and jumping off of really tall things (Holy shit POP!). Other than that, he's overselling like a bitch and doing some dropkicks.

So, a heel Jeff Hardy would be doing what? Dropkicks and overselling? Either he has to come up with an entirely new heel move set or he'll have to be a heel who gets pops. And no one needs a heel who out-pops the face. Might as well make him...well, might as well make him a face.

No disrespect to Jeff Hardy but some wrestlers just don't have what it takes to be a heel.Hell even his brother isnt making a great heel just yet and Matt seems superior to Jeff at least to me with his mic skills and that's not a compliment to Matt.

Good heels as far back as i remember have always been golden on the mic. They are able to manipulate the fans and control their heat if you will.Jeff is far too popular with the younger fans and far too inexperienced to be given a heel role unless hes given a mouth piece.Jeff Hardy as a heel with a manager like one of my favorite all time most annoying heel managers ever Bill Alfonzo would be great but the wrestling industry now days has seemed to forget how important and what different characteristics a good manager adds to the shows.

Short answer.No...Jeff should not be made a heel.He doesn't have the mic skills or ability to control the crowd like many great face turned heels have before him.
