Jamie Foxx: Does anyone like his new single with T-Pain, "Blame It"? I've been listening to it all night...although, when I heard the song for the first time this afternoon, I thought it was by Akon.
John Carpenter's The Thing: I saw this film when I was around 11 or 12, and I thought it sucked. However, I have recently come to have a new-founded appreciation for John Carpenter (Christine is arguably the greatest Stephen King adaption ever, Prince of Darkness is epic, and I don't even know where to begin when discussing the greatness that is Big Trouble In Little China) and I saw that this film is in the IMDB's top 250.
Well, I gave it another try, and I thought it was nothing short of excellent. Horror films, for a reason I can't really articulate, are susceptible to polarization: most of them suck, but the ones that are done right are instant classics and better than a majority of all films. If you want an idea of what horror done right is, I highly recommend The Thing.
