Is this the best HOF class of all time?

MattRhys20

Cena fan since Word-Life
Ultimate Warrior, Jake Roberts, Lita, Paul Bearer, Carlos Colon, Mr. T, Razor Ramon.

Look at that list of names, CONSISTENT high quality across the board.

Can anybody think of a year that even comes close to this one?

Maybe. I can't be bothered to check. If it is it says more about WWE's induction polocy than the quality of the people selected this year.

This years inductees are appealing, but they're mostly mid-card talent.

Oh now, wait, I just remembered who got inducted last year. No. This is not the best HOF class of all time.

Last years was better.

Bruno Sammartino who was the longest reigning champion of all time.
Bob Backlund who held the title for over five years and helped Diesel huge in 94.
Mick Foley.
Trish Stratus who is down as the best modern diva.
Booker T for his WCW stint.
Donald Trump who has done shit loads for WWE. Especially Mania's IV/V and IX.

2005 is probably the best class so far - Sheik, Volkoff, Orndorff, Orton, Jimmy Hart, Piper, Hogan. Right on 20 years from the first Mania and these guys were the top of the WWF in 85.

Aside from drinking and being a ego driven ass backstage, since when is anything razor ramon did consistent? He had a few high quality matches, but frankly most of his work was mediocre at best. He was always the lesser talent in what ever group he was in, despite people over inflating his abilities in their minds as years have past. and carlos colon? mr t? I can get behind Mr T in the HOF as he was a huge factor in WM history, but having him in this class is not a benefit. Same for Colon, perhaps he belongs it it but he doesn't enhance the class. Really, only jake, paul and lita bring real 'umph' to the class with warrior being behind them mostly due to his limited work time and long years of spewed hatred towards everyone in the business. It's a coup to get him involved and brings a lot of attention to the event, but doesn't really make it a better class then other years.

It was an awesome moment to see Warrior and Roberts inducted in to the HOF, just as great being the inductions of Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Billy Graham, The Funks and The Von Erichs.

But in terms of best full class of inductees I would have to go with 2005.

Inducting the WrestleMania I guys was a lovely touch and a special moment!
