Is the X-Division about to pick up????

First of all, I want to say that this thread contains some spoilers from this week's TNA tapings for this Thursday so proceed with Caution!!!!!

So, I was reading the spoilers for this week's TNA show on Thursday. Apparently, Joe is gonna go after the X-Division title and thus give the MEM all the titles in the company. (except the knockouts championship) My question is this, could this be what the X-Division needs to get back on the map?

In my opinion, it is. A good feud between Homicide and Joe could be what this division needs. The X-Division has been lingering in the backround for a while now and the only main thing featured on every show is the MEM angle and the knockouts title. Joe has proven time and time again that he can have an X-Division type match no problem. His feuds back in the day with Styles and Daniels were one of the best angles I've seen from TNA. So I think the X-Division is about to pick up and I can't wait to see what happens next! Ur thoughts please!!

This will help the X-Division. It would be better if they allowed Hernandez to keep his belt against Joe but I already know Joe will win it in the end.

This feud actually does make sense since Joe is part of the MEM and Angle is the current Heavyweight Champion. If the Heavyweight title was not in the MEM's possesion this would be a step backwards for Joe.

One thing that does not make sense is having the MEM hold a battle royal with the new member getting membership into the group. Is not the whole point of the MEM supposed to be about a group of guys pissed off at new talent coming in and getting things the easy way? This makes no sense at all!!!

It was for a female role however. I'm not knocking the knockouts but the MEM has maintained that male chauvinist mentality of women are beneath them. They had their 2 females fight on the last PPV. Eventually yes they will own the X title and also the knockout title so they need a female contender for that. Personally I would have preferred that to be Tara but Tracy Brooks has longevity in wrestling and aside from Tara is the best fit for the role.

As for the X-title, I would much rather prefer someone other then Homicide hold the title right now. I think Joe would go much better against Styles or Daniels. Have LAX back in the tag title hunt against Steiner/Booker.

Uh, sorry about the repeated posts above. My damn internet started acting up but it's fixed now anyway. I think Samoa Joe carrying the title is equal to Chris Jericho/Rey Mysterio carrying the IC title it helps build prestige by having ME fueding for it.

Yeah, I think this is a good thing for the X-division. It could make for some good matches b/c Joe and Homicide have worked with each other before in their ROH days, so I think the X-division could benefit loads from this angle even if it lasts for only a couple of weeks.

Samoa Joe was able to put on incredible X division matches with Styles and Daniels.His matches at Unbreakable 2005 and Destination X,aswell as the suicide barrel roll are the stuff of legend.But the key phrase,WAS.The past tense.Joe is a shadow of his former,ass kicking self.He focuses less on putting on great spectacles and more on beating the shit out of his opponents.His match with Amazing Red proves that.If you look at the spoilers for his match at the tapings,you'll see what I mean.He's lost control.He has just lost the ability to put in incredible matches.Actually not lost,more chooses not to,which is odd.Very odd.Surely wrestlers want to give it their all,not half hearted attempts.You can say it's furthering his non-caring attitude.But I'd rather see him be plain wrestler who gives a damn,but puts on great matches.

As for his series with Homicide,I hope it's going to be good.I love them both,but I just think that Homicide will act as the champion you gave the title to because of their hard work,and then screw them out of it.Jay Lethal was a great performer in the X Division in 2007 (and still is),and he finally won the title from Chris Sabin at Slammiversary.How long did he last.Untill the next Impact when he lost the title to who?

Joe needed the title to get in the match of Champions,face Team 3d with Kurt,win the tag titles and ultimately lose them in the winner takes all match.Samoa Joe needed the X division title to get him in a programme with Angle,to get involved.Much like what is happening in the mafia right now.He needs a title.It has nothing to do with improving the X division,with giving it more talent.It's being used to strengthen the Mafia,the heavyweight dominated stable.They couldn't give 2 shits about it.It's all for their own good,and nothing for the X division.

And what happened when it was no longer needed.Lethal won it back.It wasted about 3 months of the X division.I can only see this move as being bad for the X division,not good.Sad.It has been improving.It's like they stopped the progress car,broke it's headlights and made it turn around to get it fixed.But hey,I could be wrong.This could prove to be wonderous.Homicide and Joe could have insane battles.They could put nitrous in the engine.But I doubt it.

it's another example of how far the X-D title has fallen, they could have made somoa joe win the title for MEM but they didn't it only shows that the title wasn't worth airing at a PPV.

Somoa joe as a MEM X-D champ would have made all the sense in the world.

I have to disagree with you on that. I think we've been there and done that already. Joe had great matches against Styles and Daniels and I think Homicide deserves the chance to shine for a bit and show what he's made of. I think this feud, if booked correctly, could be awesome and could give us some very entertaining matches. Styles and Daniels should probably team up and try to go for the tag titles while Hernandez could go after the Legends title going up against Kevin Nash.

I think Ur right about that. Joe needs to concentrate on actually wrestling and not just beating the shit out of people. Hopefully with his mentor Taz he'll start to whip him back into shape and he can put on a descent match. But now that U mention it, they'll probably end up doing something like a no holds barred match or no DQ so Joe can do whatever he wants to Homicide and he'll eventually get the belt. But I really do wish they put some time and effort into this program and make something of the X-Division and let these guys shine and show what the X-D is made of. I know that's wishful thinking but we'll see!

Well to answer Ozzy Sax Samoa Joe will go after Homicide for the X Title and then MEM (nWo resurrection) will have all the titles in the stable and since Jenna Morasca beat Sharmell Nash will push Jenna Morasca for the Womens Knockout championship and will beat Tara(ntula) and or Sharmell will continue to argue and trade words with Jenna Morasca and Sharmell vs Jenna Morasca vs Tara for the Womens KO Title lol either way they will all have the titles!!!!!
