Is Christian A Hall Of Famer?

Showing Off is what I do best
My question to all of you right now is, Is Christian A Hall Of Famer?

Through these last few months, we've seen Christian get a bug push and get two world title reigns. Now, his first might have only been five days, but it still counts.

Now before he had these two title reigns, he's never won the WHC or WWE/F title. He was a solid mid-carder who had solid mid-card titles and title reigns. And, we can't forget his tag team titles reigns with Edge. And, we don't know IF his WHC title reigns were because of Edge or not.

Now, I do think that Christian WILL make the Hall Of Fame, only because of these past few months. In my opinion, if he never won the WHC title, he would have NOT made the HOF.

What do you think?

Would he make the HOF with or without the WHC title reigns?

He definitely is. Hes a veteran of the business, has had multiple world title reigns and was part of one of the most memorable teams of all time.

Yeh I Think He Will And But Not So Sure He Will Without Of Having the World Titles Reigns,However he is a multiple Tag Team Champ,Multiple ECW Champ, competed in the first TLC match and has been in epic Single & tag Matches.

He Has Worked His Ass to the bone for 17 years in pro wrestling and WWE (did he have a run in tna?) But anyway less worthy People have made it into the HOF so i dont understand why he shouldn't? And he has been succesful in the WWE.

So yes he does deserve to be in the HOF but im not sure he will go in the HOF even with the WHC title reigns.

For me, I was a bigger Christian fan before his 'reign' as champion. I'm not sold on him being a heel, and definitely not sold on him being a heel against Randy Orton. I might have put him in the HOF before this reign, but I think this push makes him look worse than he did before it.

Did you see his promos at the beginning and end of Smackdown? They were forced and confusing and literally made me less interested in Summerslam.

If Christian comes off losing his championship well, whenever that happens, I'll be sold on him... but as of now I'm not Christian sold, and I'm the biggest ego style heel fan ever.

I would have to say YES. Christan has been a huge part of the WWE and certainly deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. And hey, if Jim Duggan can get in any one can really.

Christian in my opinion deserves to get inducted into the Hall of Fame, but WWE's Hall Of Fame has been kind of a joke to me. Bruno Sammartino and Randy Savage haven't been inducted in the Hall of Fame, but Pete Rose and Drew Carey have.

I would have to give a RESOUNDING Yes.

Kayfabe wise, he definitely has the accomplishments as a two time World Heavyweight Champion, Triple Crown Champion AND Grand Slam Champion. He was part of one of the biggest and most successful tag teams EVER. E&C might be the ONLY tag team I can think of where there is no Janetty and BOTH had fantastic careers. Sure, Edge had more success than Christian did but how often is it that BOTH members of a tag team wind up being the champion?

I can always count on Christian to deliver magnificent promos. He is a terrific talker. I can count on him to ALWAYS deliver in the ring NO MATTER who his opponent is. I think of Edge as Bret and Christian as Owen. While I like both Bret/Edge and both were talented and more successful, I like Owen and Christian better AND I will take an Owen match over a Bret match as well as a Christian match over an Edge match.

Some may say that Christian only became champ because of Edge. Sure that win at Extreme Rules (Outstanding match, BTW) was as a favor to Edge. But why would they give Christian a SECOND World Title reign, give him MONTHS as a main eventer ever since April AND book him extremely strong in the process. I think most would also agree that Christian was title material and was ready/deserving long before Edge retired.

There is a reason I posted that I wanted to see Shawn Michaels come out of retirement and face Christian. He's that damn good. He's come such a long way and you know you're awfully talented if you could successfully play a face role as well as a heel role. Christian has done both.

I'd like to see an argument against Christian's spot in the Hall of Fame.

If Drew Carey is in the HOF I don't see why Christian wouldn't be.

I mean Christian is a 3x IC champion,1x European champion,1x Light Heavyweight champion,1x Hardcore champion,2x ECW champion,9x World Tag Team champion and 2 time(at least for now)World Heavyweight champion. Not to mention the fact that he was in the first TLC match and in one of the best tag teams of all time.

Christian is man who can be called a tag team specialist and one of the best mid carders in WWE and currently he is proving himself as a good main eventer and maybe the biggest heel in the company at the moment.

Another thing about Christian is that he is one of the best wrestlers out there (if you don't believe me watch his matches against Orton from this year, against Jericho at WM and not to mention his Ladder or TLC matches). No matter if its a TLC, Extreme ruels or a regular match he is capable of stealing the show.

So to sum up yes he deserves to be in the Hall of Fame

Christian is one of the best workers in WWE history, he carried the European title and won every single title in the WWE besides the world titles in 7 years with the company. He's one of the best tag team wrestlers in WWE with the third most reigns ever (behind Edge and Kane) and his accomplishments almost speak for themselves. Now, at age 39, Christian is putting out the best effort of his whole career in an entertaining gimmick with entertaining matches (he's made the same match exciting 5 ppv's in a row) and is getting a long deserved WHC run

The clear and obvious answer is YES! With or without a WHC reign, Christian is one of the best talents ever in the WWE. His wrestling ability is outstanding as is his mic work and he will no doubt have his well deserved spot in the HoF.

yeh but he is still young and has years left in him and yeh he would of regardless of the reigns, he is one of the best. He is only 36 and i hope his title reign lasts for a beyond summerslam.

If you would have asked me this a year ago I would have said no. Look back at everything Christian has been apart of when he first came back. I honestly thought that he would have been stuck in ECW, or the upper mid card of Smackdown! However, now I honestly feel like there is no doubt in my mind that he will be. As much as this might sound disrespectful ever since Edge retired Christian got his biggest feud with Alberto Del Rio. When he turned heel? Got another big feud with the WWE's number two guy. Even when Christian does drop the World Heavyweight Championship I still feel like with this recent surge in character Christian will still be a main event-er, and that is what's going to carry over into him building up a strong enough legacy too get into the hall of fame.

Like it was previously stated he's a decorative tag team champion, and there wasn't a mid card singles championship he didn't hold. Now that he's a grand slam champion I have to say he will be in the hall of fame. Especially since it seems like Vince is now seeing money in Christian. Besides after Koko B Ware got into the hall I wouldn't be surprised too see anyone get in now a days really.

Not this subject again. :banghead:

Now that thats out the way, i will say something i always say when someone ask if wrestler x should be in the hall of fame. Everybody and by that i mean everybody goes to the WWE hall of fame sooner than later. For satan's sake Drew Carey is in the WWE hall of fame, he might be in the celebrity wing but he is still in it. So its a no brainer that Christian is going to be in the WWE hall of fame. The only person who will never be in the WWE hall of fame is Chris Benoit, and we all know why.

I believe he will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. His is great on the mic, unfortunately his push came past his prime. I believe if he would have re-signed before going to TNA we would have seen him at his best. Sadly he was in TNA in his prime and nooone was watching. That being said, the WWE Hall of Fame is watered down. True legends should be in the HOF. Rock, Cena, Hogan, Savage. So if Koko B. Ware is in it then Christian has to be.

World Heavyweight Champion or not, Chrisian was always going to be a Hall of Famer. Being a three-time Intercontinental Champion and nine-time Tag Team Champion should be enough to get you into the Hall Of Fame championship-wise. Factor in him being a part of a highly influential tag team in the form of Edge & Christian and his Hall Of Fame credentials increase significantly. I don't want to be that dickwad who says "well if so-so can get in, Chrisitian can", but it's kind of true. There are many Hall Of Famers who haven't had nearly as much success as Christian.

Yes!!! He would definitely be in the hall of fame even without the World Title reigns. I thinks the World titles will put him there sooner than later on. He deserves to be there with the other Attitude Era greats, plus you have to look at his acheivements outside of the WWE. He is an all-time great.

He will definitely be inducted into the HOF. He's a great wrestler with a lot of talents, on the mic and in the ring etc. He was in one of the greatest tag teams ever with E&C. He's had many accomplishments such as being a 2x World Champion, 3x Intercontinental Champion, 2x ECW Champion, 9x World Tag Champion, 1x European Champion, 1x Hardcore Champion, 1x Light Heavyweight Champion, a Grand Slam Champion and a Triple Crown Champion. I don't think you really have to be that successful in your career to be inducted into the HOF any more but it certainly helps and Christian definitely has been very successful.

With or without the past title reigns with the WHC he would have made it in. 17+ years working for a company day in day out should be more then enough to guarantee a spot in the HOF

Hellz yeah!

With his career highlights there is no realreason why he shouldn't be. Yes, at the moment people are waiting for the next big thing but the fact he has 17 years of hard work under his belt and 19 titles as well that tells you this guy is HOF material!

No, does any think really think he's great. He's an above average worker, but other than that no. He was the Jannety, Robert Gibson, M. Hardy, Kronus, etcc of his team where you could tell he was definitely below his partner. When he left for TNA it was obvious he was only pushed so hard because of where he was from not because of his skills the TNA audience never bought into him. His current pushed is a cross between a sympathy push because of Edge and the fact that the WWE is hellbent on having two world titles and won't push guys strong right away to provide fresh challengers. Twenty years ago he would be a Tito Santana or Rick Martel a reliable hand who could work multiple sponts on the card. He might be a world champ but he's like Jeff Jarrett where you just think he should never hold that belt.

there is no doubt in my mind 1 day christian will end up in the wwe hall of fame (i say one day because hes showing no signs of wanting to hang up his boots and i think he could go quite a few more years still at the level hes at now) he was part of 1 of the most if not THE MOST memorable and greatest team of all-time with edge,2 time world champion, ecw champion (doesnt count for much but he was possibly the best wweecw champion?) and hes got atleast 1 ic title run under his belt i see him going into the hall of fame maybe at mania 30 but whenever he goes in edge will induct him (sense im sure christian is inducting edge in 2 years for mania in toronto)

I wish I saw what you guys see in him. I guess with some of the guys who are already in it's possible, but at the rate they induct people and with all the other guys likely to go in ahead of him, I'd say he'll probably go in at Wrestlemania 50.

Well of course he is qualified for a Hall of Fame jersey down the track. His first title was two days actually, he won on a Sunday and lost it on a Tuesday at vthe Smackdown tapings. Bret Hart had a one day reign remember.

Christians record speaks for itself, and if KoKo B Ware and Hacksaw Duggan are in, Christian is a lay down misere, provided he doesnt murder anybody between now and then

Even if Christian hadn't captured the World Title? He still would have been inducted. He's a multi time IC champion and look what he helped do to the tag team division? He and Edge not only took the division to new heights? He also helped pioneer the TLC match. He's won more tag titles than most superstars have captured at all.

OH!! And and on top of all that? He and Edge did something no other tag team has ever really done. When tag teams break up? One goes off to bigger and better things. While the other? Ehhhh not so much. Edge hit the big time first, but then Christian did. Think about it, both of them are World Champs!! No other tag team off the top of my head has done that. The Rockers, The Hart Foundation, The Hardy Boyz, The Steiner Brothers just to name a few. All legendary teams. Only one went off to grab the brass ring. (Again off the top of my head)

The fact he is now a 2x World Heavyweight Champion? Only helped cement his destiny. Before hand? It probably would have been a long time before being inducted. Now? I'd say just a few years after retiring he'll take his rightful place.

I think without a shadow of a doubt its a YES.
He helped revolutionize the tag team division in the Attitude Era. He helped pioneer the TLC match. He carried WWECW (well tried too atleast). He's been a solid mid-carder for most of his career and now is in the main-event (he's doing a good job of it too). So if he isn't I'll be shocked and disappointed.
