What does it mean to be a "star" in today's WWE?

If we are going by subjective measures, I did miss him when he was out of action briefly with his most recent injury. On Raw, the reality is that with the exception of Lesnar, there really aren't any major players. They all seem to exist on the same plane of mediocrity. No one really has more heat than the other.

You don't seem to remember that I'm a fan of Reigns as well. Just because I criticise him constructively, doesn't mean that I hate him.

Whatever notable Reigns did was as a part of Shield. Not as Roman Reigns. And I don't know how you think that he was the most over baby face? Dean Ambrose was. He was having some entertaining matches and segments with Seth Rollins. Not Roman Reigns. You won't admit but Roman Reigns wasn't ready. He wasn't regardless of my like or dislike towards him.

Remember how there were reports of Braun Strowman facing The Undertaker? They mostly faced a negative reaction because Strowman wasn't ready either. Strowman had nothing notable as a singles competitor. Just like Roman Reigns. But he wasn't forced like Roman Reigns. Braun Strowman was gradually built and he gained a following by his performance and some good booking. Not a 50-50 following. Stop discrediting his performance by giving all credit to Roman Reigns. This feud has done favours to both. Not just one way around.

Also, stop justifying Reigns' premature rocket push. He wasn't ready and his performances before the push proved that.

Again Braun Strowman hasn't been over pushed like Roman Reigns. He hasn't won Royal Rumble or main evented Wrestlemania. He wasn't even on the main show itself. How's booking similar then? A lot of difference between "gradual" and "forced".

Agreed. Reigns has grown on me quite a bit over the course of this year because he's been doing great work, he's consistently improved and he's been showing that he's truly ready. Two years ago? Not so much, not even remotely close as Reigns now is light years ahead of where he was just at this time last year let alone when his mega push began.

After the Shield broke up, Vince didn't really got he route of slowly building Reigns. He saw this young, good looking kid with a great presence but not nearly as much ability as the other Shield members, or a goodly amount of the roster for that matter, and a lot of fans did resent it. Some still do, some probably always will but I'm of the opinion that Reigns is genuinely ready now as his programs with Strowman and Joe have been, in my view, his best.

I agree with you, 2 years ago, reigns wasn't ready, but when the shield broke up, listen to the fan reaction reigns got compare to Ambrose. From the time the shield broke up until he got injured, reigns was the most over of the 2 and that's not me defending is rocket push, that just a fact. I don't blame wwe for trying to capitalize on this. The problem is that they pissed up is fanbase during is time off by giving him generic promos, so when he came back, all his momentum died and he had to fight an uphill battle ever since.

But the fact that he got push when he wasn't ready became a blessing because we got this super over megastar out of it.

Strowman right now isn't in that league yet. We will find out how over he is when he starts feuding with somebody else. Right now, he's over because of reigns and that's kinda it.

Star is such a subjective word. I guess if business goes up with his push, yes. Otherwise, it's a bunch of "smart" fans loving him because he "hates" Roman.

Braun is 6-8 385 lbs. Likely he has a long career in the WWE replacing the Big Show, Kane, Taker, etc for these super heavyweights don't come along very much. Guy gets better each week unlike the Great Khali's of the world and seems willing to learn.

Khali could have been a bigger star in my opinion if they would have signs him at a younger age. By the time they sign him, he already had bad knees that was related to his giantisam thing he had which is the same thing that big show was operated for and andre the giant died off. So khali was already injured by that time and could move as must. That why I think he wasn't has good as some of the other super heavyweight.
