Irish Whip Wrestling

Ice Tiger
When I heard the WWE signed this fella called PAC i decided to look up about him. Wikipedia said he wrestled for Irish whip wrestling.

Being Irish I became interested and wanted to find out more. The internet did not have a lot of info.

The likes of Sheamus and Drew McIntire have wrestled there aswell.

So if any of you have some info could you please share. I want to know your opinion on it and if the promotion is any good or not? Is it on TV? Just anything really.

Ice Tigers are go!

IWW used to have a one hour show on The Wrestling Channel, which was available to Sky digital customers, I used to watch it occasionally and despite its poor lighting, it had decent production value and drew decent crowds. They taped shows in some dingy little arena near the Guinness Brewery in Dublin, name escapes me, but they were drawing decent crowds.

Sheamus and McIntyre both competed there, D-Lo Brown competed there, Doug Basham, Eddie Edwards, Davey Richards, Prince Devitt, Chris Hero, Claudio Castagnoli, Nigel McGuinness, Wade Barrett, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels and Ultimo Dragon are names who competed there. Drew McIntyre beat AJ Styles on an episode of IWW Wrestling.

It still runs, does tours of Europe even, doesn't feature many noticeable names, unless it co-promotes. I went to a show it helped organize by the American Wrestling Rampage company, which does tours featuring notable names from Europe. This was back in 2006, feature Bret Hart, Chris Masters just after his initial release, Rene Dupree just after his release, Prince Devitt who then went to Japan and is now one of Japan's biggest draws.

Just a small Irish promotion, but it does well for itself.

That's pretty much the reply I was going to type, but Dragon Saga beat me to it.

I saw IWW a few times on The Wrestling Channel and enjoyed alot of what I saw. It was great to see guys like AJ Styles and Daniels wrestling there and the occasional former WWE superstars who popped up every new and again were cool.

If I remember rightly, I remember thinking that the ring looked really small....maybe that was just me but it sticks in my mind. It's great for Irish wrestling fans that there is a company over there that is doing alright for itself.

Ah yes I do remember it. I do remember Sheamus being on it, a guy who looks like that you don't forget, and he was way more atheltic than we see him now.

Haha the wrestling channel that takes me back. Used to watch World of Sport on there all the time. You had Regal, Finlay, Big Daddy and also some guy with a mask called Kendo Nagasaki who apparently invented the ladder match.
