Iphone help

Everytime I sync some new music to my Iphone it wipes the songs already on there. how do I stop that from happening? also My partners iphone only takes five minutes to sync our whole library yet mine takes an hour... ?

For the first problem, if you have song on the phone that aren't in the library, you'll probably need to add them in manually. Sync is just that; it syncs itself to your library. You'll have to enable the option to manually add the music in.

No clue on the second problem. Are they both the same make of phone?

Yep both Iphone 4's. We got them on the same day. It really has me puzzled. should it take roughly two hours for five gig worth of music?

How about you just throw it in the trash and get an Android?

Joking. And for 5 gigs of music, it should take about 2 hours if it's going over USB 2.0.

You're kidding? My Sony mp3 player took 20 minutes.

Yeah, but that probably wasn't copying over the entire library, plus the data like album covers and such each and every time, either.

Go ahead and make sure that you have the latest version of both iTunes and then the firmware on your iPhone. If that is not the problem, then it could be that there is some problem with the iPhone.

If there's an Apple store close by, go to there if what Dave said doesn't work. They might be able to help you.
