On Raw this week during the opening tag team match Michael Cole mentioned that Kane has wrestled 899 matches whilst in WWE.
Doing some quick Googling, this does includes his time as Isaac Yankem DDS and as Fake Diesel since Glen Jacobs has of course been part of WWF/E since 1995, and I'd assume this also included house shows.
I got me thinking, with Punk's current title reign being quantified by the number of days he's been champion and how the angle has worked rather well, do you think it's possible that Kane could go and compete in 1000 matches before his retirement? Or even before he reaches 20 years with the company.
Could this angle work to give Kane one last blaze of glory at the end of his career? Could it be used to create a sort-of "mini-streak" which ultimately puts over someone up-and-coming? Or does nobody give a toss about Big Red anymore?
