Indiana Jones...

The Indiana Jones movies are fantastic. I could watch The Last Crusade 10 times in a row and not get bored with it. What a great movie.

Right? What's with all of this bullshit I'm hearing from shit like Time magazine saying it was only average and okay? Bullshit, that movie was awesome! What amused me even more was how the reviewer commented on the scene where Shia Lewhatever goes to pick up Indy's hate, hinting at him being the new face of the franchise and how terrible that would be. He forgot to mention though that Indy picks the hat up before Shia gets a chance. I found this hilarious because Spielberg, the brilliant director that he is, was clearly poking fun at all of the people who though Shia would be the next in line, and it's pretty obvious from the ending of the film that this is the final one.

The only thing I didn't like about the movie was that it seemed as though Marion just immediately forgave Indy for abandoning her all those years ago and jumped into his arms. Can't exactly be complaining about realism in a film also involving UFOs and pure crystal mind-control skulls though.

Fantastic movie, just as good as the second film at the very least.

300 Million Dollars Worldwide in 5 days will be enough for these guys to comeback and do another one I suppose. Lucas ( I love Lucas, but damn him, I think he's losing his mind) is talking about making an Indy 5 with Shia not at the helm, but as the focus, and Ford taking on more of a Connery like role. However, Spielberg and Ford shot down the Saucer Men from Mars that Lucas was wanting to make, so I'm guess they still have veto power on Lucas.

Anywho, I loved the movie. The Crystal Skulls have always fascinated me, plus I lived in Peru and in the Amazon for a while, so I was pretty familiar with the Nazca and Incan mythology in this film. My Archaeology degree actually means something.

Plus anyone calling bullshit on the backstory of the "aliens" and all that, I'll show you some pictures from my own album of the morphed mummies that I saw. Good shit I tell you.

Entertaining. But only in the same way The Mummy was. But The Mummy wasn't directed by Steven Spielberg, nor was it the sequel to some bona fide classics. I enjoyed it immensely, but it was never going to live up to the hype. And I still think it's one of the most pointless films of all time. I also thought it could have been improved with less characters.

I was listening to the radio today and these guys were blasting the movie.

To Paraphrase: Yeah, it was like watching a Tarzan movie or some cheezy 50's sci-fi movie"

Really, no shit huh? A movie based on old Serials and B Movies reminded you of the exact things it's suppose to remind you of, shocking isn't it.

I just think it's amazing how people can bash the Alien, but not blink an eye at Jewish Ghost inside of the Arc, a guys heart being ripped out while he was still alive, and a 1000 year old Knight guarding the Holy Grail.

The premis behind all of them is stupid, so I had no problem with the skulls. The problems I had were with Cate Blanchette's dodgy accent, Ray Winstone shouting ''Jonesy'' all the time, John Hurt not talking at all, gophers, the fridge, simmilar ending to the third one.
