IMPACT Wrestling LD for 05.16.13 from Tupelo, Mississippi!

Actually there is an obvious and practical reason for them, the influx of talent you already alluded to. X-division gets one segment. Thus, one on one matches makes the X roster too thin. The most famous match in the history of the division was a triple threat.

Yes it was. It also had a long story building up to it rather than having them because the rules say we have to. There's a story between King and Sabin and they've done a solid job of building it up. That's the match they should be having. Petey adds nothing to it whatsoever and is a distraction from the interesting story.

F that noise. I want Petey dammit. I thought you said there were no stories?

I don't recall saying that although I probably did.

There aren't any stories that require a triple threat. You can have Petey. Just put him in a match where he's actually needed and not distracting from something interesting.

Petey is needed in all matches. What about my homie Sonjay? I'd also contend the X-division style wrestling is showing through more now. That comes with the same old pros and cons but at least it stands out as different. Building to one on one matches with more meaningless one on one matches is what made the X-division lag recently IMO.
