@TNADixie: .@JEFFHARDYBRAND just suffered a broken leg in a dirt bike accident. Will provide more details once they are known.

--

...another tag tourney coming?

What did the fat tub of goo say this time?
Billy Corgan would be just like when Freddie Prince Jr. worked WWE. Of course ignoring the fact that Billy has been active in wrestling for decades and Freddie was just a fan with leverage and just proclaiming the end TNA. He also mentioned some Hollywood guy in WCW that didn't fit the context either. Same old shit.

Well this sucks. Eddie breaks his heel and now Hardy breaks his leg. This happens right after both teams won the belts. Talk about irony, fuckin' a!

I wonder what happens to the next champions if the Hardy's give the titles up? Hopefully they don't break their knees or some shit.

Well yeah, except a broken leg. HA!

That looked a lot worse than it was though.
Thankfully it wasn't a Sid Vicious deal. Also, Jeff Hardy has never suffered a surgery requiring injury his whole career. Or any injury that would sideline him in 20 years despite the insane bumps he's taken so frequently since '99.

When the fucker finally injures himself it's OUT of the ring.

Yeah, go figure right?

In related TNA news, looks like Dixie Carter will be a guest on Austin's podcast next Tuesday.

@TNADixie: Had a blast talking to my fellow TEXAN @steveaustinBSR in LA today for his podcast (airs next Tues). #SeeUAtTheRanch

Samoa Joe talking TNA days on Jim Ross' podcast this week, and now Billy Corgan on Jericho's as well (listening to this one now). Great week for TNA press.

Man, this Corgan interview is fucking gold. This guy is nothing but ideas, concepts, creativity, etc.

Wants TNA to have a developmental, better booking (around titles), key in on fan engagement/reaction, wants a focus on youth culture, social media, etc. Working "on same level" as Lagana and Conway, etc.

I heard it. You hear him and its like he's been a booker his whole life. That's quite the positive for him going in. And with all the alleged bullshit going on in TNA right now, he might really be one to set the record straight. When you hear that podcast, you really feel this fucker has a plan that can and should work. It's not the Hogan/Bischoff/Russo type shit, it's a legitimate, well thought out, analyzed plan.

I hope Corgan can make TNA resemble 05 to 08 which is when TNA was burning all cylinders. I'm not saying it needs to be recreated I just want that energy back and seeing TNA being able to draw decent to good crowds. Here's to being patient.

I've got screwed by my second job pay wise because I was trying to go to Orlando for the live show but not making it. :(

This is what I took out of it as well. This didn't sound like a car salesman. It sounded like a lifelong booker who believed in the product.

PWI apparently saying returning champ tonight is not on current roster, so it has to be Bully Ray or RVD, no?

Joe, Styles and Sabin are under contract elsewhere (ROH, and otherwise), Storm, Hardy, Anderson and Magnus are all on the roster already, Foley and Sting are under contract with WWE. Subtract out EY and Angle who are in the match and you've got Bully and RVD left. That's all 16 former world heavyweight champions (not counting NWA years).

Bully appeared at the Rumble, though. I don't remember if that was 6 months ago or more.

Does it specifically say world champ? If not then it's a wide open field in the WZ headline "former WWE champion heading to TNA" (it's Mickie because she was a champion in WWE) sort of way.

The vibe around TNA that I'm getting lately seems to be really really good. Couple that with the slow but sure ascension of ROH and I'm actually beginning to get excited about what the lower tier companies could soon produce :D

@IMPACTWRESTLING: BREAKING: A former World Champ returns to #IMPACTLive as Special Ref of #AngleVsYoung. Find out who in first 5 min http://t.co/7hdRhcvFNT

@TNADixie: There have only been 16 TNA Champs and 2 of them are in the match...

@IMPACTWRESTLING: Sources indicate the former TNA World Champ returning as guest referee for Angle vs EY not a current roster member: http://t.co/5ejgx9S8tO

The fact Dixie mentioned "16 TNA Champs" means TNA World Heavyweight Champions — that list of sixteen is as follows:

Angle, Sting, Samoa Joe, Foley, Styles, RVD, Hardy, Anderson, Storm, Roode, Aries, Bully Ray, Sabin, Magnus, Young, Lashley.

If you subtract out Young and Angle, who are in the match, you have fourteen left.

Of those fourteen, Sabin, Styles, Sting, Foley and Joe are contracted elsewhere. Down to nine.

Roode, Storm, Aries, Magnus, Hardy, Lashley and Anderson are all current roster members. Down to two.

Those two? Bully Ray and RVD.

Take your pick, but my money is on the big guy.
