This guy Matt Cross/Son of Havoc guy everyone is talking about has a great look.

What's his deal? Contract-wise.

I'm not one hundred percent sure, but I think that most of the mid-level Lucha Underground guys who aren't contracted AAA talent are only signed for each individual set of TV tapings and have no longterm commitment that they are locked into with the promotion.

From that perspective, Cross could probably be available to TNA if they really wanted him, but he's part of LU's trios champions now and I can't see him willingly just leaving that company, so TNA would probably have to be willing to share him with Lucha Underground if they did decide to use him(which may be less of a problem if he worked as Matt Cross or M-Dogg 20 and didn't wear the mask, while he continued to use the "Son of Havok" gimmick in LU). He'd be a great add for the X-Division, but really he would've been a way more desirable talent signing 4-5 years ago when he was younger, and frankly better, than he is now.

He's still really good now, they just don't have him win that much. What's your thoughts on Pentagon Jr, Papa?

I really like the guy who is playing the Pentagon Jr. gimmick in AAA and LU right now(formerly Dark Dragon, the eldest son of Fuego).

He'd also be a guy that would be a great addition working some X-Division programs with TNA, were TNA and AAA to work out some sort of time share. I couldn't see AAA allowing TNA to use the Pentagon Jr. gimmick, but he could obviously work under a different mask and be just as awesome of a talent.

Hell his real life brother, Fenix from AAA and Lucha Underground, is only 24 years old, is highly talented, and he is still getting a lot better(and he had a great match with Taiji Ishimori over in NOAH a couple years ago when he was still only like 21).

I could see AAA wanting to protect their interests in guys like Pentagon Jr. and Fenix though and refusing to give any real consideration to sharing them with TNA even if TNA were to inquire about using them.

Pay-Per-Appearance. That's the deal for all. AAA does the same deal for their talent as TNA does. If its iPPV, PPV or major TV, it needs AAA approval. Though I doubt Pentagon and Ivelisse would go for TNA at this point.

Nice ECIII interview

TNA product on Destination America:
"What we’re doing now is building something awesome and if you've been fortunate enough to be able to see our product, I think since we jumped to Destination America it’s been pretty good and cohesive at telling stories and being solid top to bottom. We’re at an advantage where we don’t have to worry as much about trying to draw numbers as we can telling good stories, which I think we’re doing really well. I just know that TNA has made the right call, because we’re part of the Discovery network which is one of, if not the top cable network in the world. Good things are coming, and they’re very happy with us and we’re very happy with them. I think this is going to be a dream relationship and keep getting better every week."

The freedom he has in TNA compared to WWE:
"I can’t speak for everybody but my morale is sky high, because they pay me exceptionally well and I’m doing fantastic things for them. It’s a great relationship and I love it very much. Doing things like indies or any sort of outside appearances, stuff of that nature, what’s cool about TNA you can build yourself as a brand and they allow it. You’re not their property as much as you're own businessman. I can get gigs. I can be doing a TV commercial where I’m cleaning a toilet, and they would be totally cool with it and think that’s fun. As opposed, elsewhere (WWE), where I can use my celebrity to do something great and they shoot it down because they don’t profit off it. TNA is awesome."

Being able to work indie promotions as well as TNA:
"Indies are cool, because there are fans that love wrestling. It’s always fun and it’s a different environment. I don’t want to say that wrestling on TV isn’t fun, because I’m a dude on TV and I’m having fun every time I wrestle on TV because I always win. There’s a little more freedom to experiment in matches you’re doing on the indies. I think it’s cool because you get to satisfy your career and your need to be on TV with TNA, plus on the weekend if you want to go out there and do something, that’s cool too. I could go put a wig on and wrestle as Elvis Carter III, and that would be funny."

Difference between working in WWE and TNA:
"It's a little more relaxed. No walking on eggshells. There's not the constant fear of people going to stab you in the back for their personal gain, because for some reason, that's the atmosphere that is bred in WWE sometimes. It's relaxed, it's cool. They were very welcoming, especially being a new guy, which is hard coming in as a new person. Everyone was nothing but cool to me. I have great friends in WWE, still do, but TNA is more of a brotherness."

The injury that Eddie Edwards suffered at the February 15th TNA One Night Only tapings in Orlando,Florida was a broken heel after all. The early word is that Edwards, who is getting married soon, could be facing a lengthy recovery. No word yet on what TNA will do with The Wolves, since TNA will be taping a minimum of 8 weeks of Impact Wrestling in 4 weeks in Orlando.

UGH!

Not good but not bad. Put Richards in the X-Divison for a while and hell, give him the belt until Eddie is good to come back.

TNA has featured Dave "The Bastard" Mastiff(one of England's top indy talents, who also had a couple month stint in OVW when it was still a training bed for TNA), who was one of the six finalists from British Bootcamp, these last couple weeks on Xplosion. With Joe now gone from the company, Mastiff would perhaps be the perfect replacement, as he is basically Joe's physical equal from a size, strength, and deceptive mobility standpoint. And he is a comparably intimidating figure.

These matches only show the tip of the iceberg of what Mastiff is capable of:

It's kind of amazing how great Snow looks despite his age. Guy clearly still has it.

I was surprised to see him wrestle and he looked impressive. Didn't he have or was rumored to have had a match back during the Gut Check days but for whatever reason he couldn't wrestle it? Or am I thinking about someone else?

Snow arm-trap headbutting EC3 at the #ItHappened show was the highlight of that for me.

...and then shit got real.

For 74 days, I've seen the title "Matt Hardy Negotiates Long Term Deal" as the most up-to-date thread in the TNA zone, it's disgusting!

Considering that thread was posted on the 24th of February, I somehow doubt it's been sitting there 74 days. :lmao:

But by all means, make a new thread.

When TNA tapes this far in advance, making meaningful threads is quite difficult in trying to avoid giving users the opportunity to spoil future results.

Where as in the past a thread as simple as "What's next for Mr. Anderson?" would have been OK, it's no longer, because you're guaranteed to have someone either post the actual spoilers of what happened or post that the thread is stupid because "we all know" what happens within the first few responses.

I was wondering how long it would take before someone made a post questioning the lack of activity in the non-spam section. It figures it would be a worthless troll like the one IDR had to respond to.

IDR's point here is the perfect and correct answer though, to pretend that TV hasn't been taped for weeks/months ahead of time and that we have no knowledge of the spoilers for the sake of populating the non-spam section with threads that will get one page worth of answers(40% of which IDR and KJ would have to waste their time erasing due to spoiler violations, and another 20% they'd have to erase due to WWE fanbot idiots who come in with one sentence spam remarks trashing the product to troll TNA fans) just doesn't seem worth the effort.

This thread is an awesome outlet for the hardcore TNA fans who post here regularly to congregate and discuss the product how we see fit, be it good or bad, and not have to deal with the other bullshit.

Between this thread for all of my TNA discussions and comments, the ROH thread in the wrestling non-spam section for my ROH conversations, and now the puro thread here in the bar room for all discussions for Japanese wrestling, I feel like 90% of the non-WWE wrestling topics that I want to discuss are covered, and I like it that way.

So as always- Cheers Impact Support brethren.
