Impact Support Club House

So a couple good fan videos have been released of Grado's entrance at the Hydro!

This one is a good shot of the entrance happening.

And this one pretty well captures the entire crowd's reaction. Three thousand wrestling fans clapping along and singing Madonna in unison is nirvana.

I don't know how much it cost TNA to be able to use "Like a Prayer", but THANK GOD they paid whatever it was, because its worth it! Grado has the best entrance going in all of wrestling today by a wide margin, and its the biggest reason why he is so over. Booking him without his theme music would've been one of the worst missed opportunities and misuses of talent in the history of the industry.

All this was missing is the Grado-berg style chants before he came through the curtain.

If you watch a Grado entrance live and don't clap along and sing the chorus like a giddy child then you have no soul and attending wrestling events is not for you. If he wrestled somewhere in the Midwestern US, I'd be willing to travel and buy a ticket solely to mark out for his entrance.

If I remember correctly you're in Ohio if so on Feb 20 he will be in Cleveland for AIW

I can't wait to see that entrance on TV

Gosh, it feels like I haven't watched Impact in months. Can't wait to check out the new shit. Luckily they have it on a rerun here most days until the new one comes out.

Great press release from DestAm...

Destination America Official Press Release said:
DESTINATION AMERICA SCORES BIG WITH FIRST MONTH OF PREMIERES FOR IMPACT WRESTLING

More than four million viewers tune in during first four weeks of premieres

(Silver Spring, MD) – Destination America recorded its best January ever in Prime HH delivery with premieres of Impact Wrestling. The all-new season kicked off on Wednesday, January 7th, with Impact Wrestling LIVE, ranking as Destination America’s best Wednesday evening in network history for delivery of M25-54. The show also ranked as the 6th most social television program for the evening with #DestinationIMPACT reaching a collective 73M impressions on Twitter.

Premieres of Impact Wrestling settled into their regular Destination America timeslot on Fridays beginning Friday, January 16th. For the month of January, Impact Wrestling ranked as the #9 series in ad-supported cable for delivery of M25-54 on Friday nights. On Friday, January 23rd, the network garnered its highest rated and most watched Friday evening in network history for delivery of P25-54 and M25-54, ranking as the #3 sports telecast in cable (behind only NBA Basketball and the X Games on ESPN) and out-delivering networks including A&E, NGC, ESPN2, TNT and FXX among M25-54.

Throughout January, Impact Wrestling posted record-breaking numbers, delivering an average of 276K viewers among P25-54.

Continuing to build momentum, Destination America’s Impact Wrestling recorded its best premiere to date on Friday February 6th delivering an average of 345k P25-54, while earning a 0.85 rating among M25-54. Since premiering on the network in January 2015, 4.2M unique viewers have watched Impact Wrestling on Destination America.

Yeah, from what I've gleaned, the numbers have continued to rise since the move, despite the dramatic drop-off in viewership from the final week of Spike to the first week of DA. It seems they're convincing more and more fans who didn't already have DA to get it.

Its so nice to watch Impact on a network that actually cares. So far it seems the partnership has been everything that was hoped for by both sides. And growing ratings which are already surprisingly high by Destination America standards support the strength of the partnership.

This relationship with Discovery and Destination America is far more fitting for the revitalized TNA product that started in the summer of 2014, than the Spike relationship was.

Yeah, it may seem trivial to a lot of WWE fans who haven't had to suffer through the kind of blasé support TNA went through with Spike, but even something as simple as seeing the artwork produced nearly every week hyping IMPACT every Friday (created through YourFightPage.com) that gets posted to DA's Facebook page, through all the Twitter accounts of all the wrestlers, etc.

It's just great stuff to see all around. There's a noticeable give-a-shit factor here that, at least for me, is striking a louder chord with DA than it ever did with Spike.

TURN !! THE!! LIGHTS-ON!!

*clap clap clap clap clap*

That doesn't fly when the final night was a sellout though.

True. But with all the equipment failure they had the first day, I doubt they'd wanna risk it acting up again.

I think TNA's goal right now needs to be working on their taping format. 3 day marathons to get 6 episodes is too much. I'd prefer they do one double taping every 2 weeks in a different arena and bill it as 2 parts like AAA does. Announce a 7 match card, split it into 2 episodes and add segments in post production. It works wonders for them and TNA already spins off dozens of ideas from them.

Off topic, but I really enjoyed the "Rivals" ONO. Also, not having a barricade isn't something I remmeber seeing recently.

I've seen lots of shows that do that. It gives you the awesome spot of going for a Suicide Dive and the opponent and fans ducking out. Leaving the guy to fly onto a bunch of empty chairs.

Impact was really good tonight. Production value seems so much better. I'm glad to see Anderson back as he looks like he lifted a few weights. Lashley vs Angel shall be interesting if it happens. Snow can cut a promo and he got some great heat too.
