Impact Support Club House

I'm paraphrasing, but it was something like this:

She owns a restaurant in Chicago, where TNA were putting on a show. She apparently invited a lot of the wrestling crew out to her restaurant as a thank you, but didn't invite all the TNA staff, so two staffers who were upset at the "snub" somehow officially endorsed some rival restaurant via tweet or text or some shit, where they basically said if you're in the CHI area, be sure to go to X restaurant for the best food in town. Something like that. It came back to Tara, and obviously she was annoyed, but was angered when she had done a ton of personal promotion for their live event and then when she told Dixie that she did so hoping for a thank you or whatever, Dixie said to her something like "yeah, I saw it", kind of brushing it off.

She ended up saying she was going off on the staffers when Bruce Pritchard called her into his office and then she said something to him like "when I quit this place I'm gonna punch that cunt in the face", to which he replied to her "you'd be doing us all a favor".

Does ANYONE like Dixie Carter?

Doesn't seem like it. Though to be honest, she strikes me as a particularly caring boss, though maybe not a particularly bright one. Meaning, I think she honestly cares what people think, but doesn't necessarily understand how not to get them to think that way when it's negative.

I can go with that. She just seems to keep making stupid decisions and doesn't get why they're stupid. I can tolerate that far easier than Bischoff or Hogan who knew what they were doing and did it anyway, but it astounds me to think where TNA could be with someone competent at the helm.

Like before Jeff Jarrett got found out for dating Kurt Angle's ex-wife?

She seems like she could be a good figurehead, but is awful as a decision maker. Like, keep her for PR and rah rah speeches, but don't let her be involved with anything that actually affects the product

Actually, the story was that Tara went out to promote the show, which I believe was their first TV tapings. She put a ton of money and work and when she told Dixie she just got a "cool story, bro" from her. Fast forward to TNA's actual marketing that featured a different Knockout and the whole pizza deal. THe guys who did it showed up to mooch at her party. She was also not too happy with becoming a valet.

To be fair, Tara had done pretty much everything and was falling into repetition by the end of her run. I do get that Dixie is an idiot and that the marketing thing was a dick move.

Right, right.

Main page has a recap on it as well:

During the podcast, Varon recalls several stories from her time in TNA, one pertaining to an event taking place in her hometown of Chicago, which she spent $6,000 of her own money to promote. When posters for the event were sent to her from TNA, they featured another Knockout as opposed to Varon, who is a local celebrity.

Later, when Varon approached Dixie Carter about the situation, and told her of all the work and money she put into helping promote the event, Varon said Carter just responded by saying “Yeah, I heard.”

For those unaware, Varon owns the Squared Circle pizza restaurant in Chicago, and Varon recalls another time when the TNA offices sent an email to the talent roster instructing them to promote another Chicago pizza place as “the best pizza they’ve ever had.”

Varon said when she caught wind of this, she told TNA exec Bruce Prichard “the day I quit my job, I am going to punch that c*** in the face”, referring to Dixie. Varon said Prichard responded by saying “you’ll be doing all of us a favor.”

The overall flow of the show. Sorry didn't put that in their.

I just am not sure what Jeff Jarrett did behind the scenes from that time period.

Who was in charge of TNA during '05 to '08?

Jeff Jarrett was. Jarrett was the Vince McMahon of the promotion, he had a creative team which consisted predominantly of him, Jim Cornette, Dutch Mantell (Zeb Colter) and Vince Russo. Jarrett made the final decision on everything and like how people say McMahon "filtered" Russo, Jarrett also "filtered" Russo so that a lot of his dumb ideas didn't make it onto TV.

Jarrett got suspended some time in '08 or '09 because he was caught without telling anyone dating Karen Angle. When Jarrett was on leave, nobody was heading the ship which is why creatively things started slipping. That's also when Dixie Carter started getting more involved behind-the-scenes because before that she would just be told everything by Jeff and wouldn't even be backstage as much. This is all according to Jim Cornette and Dutch Mantell from various shoot interviews I've watched or heard from them.

Ferrell vs the KO's aping Kaufman's Inter-gender bouts only with him losing all the matches?

In all seriousness though it ain't going to happen. Terrell is only an extra who gets the cheerleading spot because of her stunt-woman background, she isn't key enough to the plot to make it even a slight possibility.

Thanks, makes sense. Stupid Jarrett, he should have spoken about the relationship to someone. It did make for a great street fought between Angle and Jarrett.
