Impact Support Club House

I'm probably late to the party, but I'll put it in spoilers anyway.

So Rhino AND Tommy Dreamer in the ring with Bully? Nineties Philly called...

Also, I forgot to mention... Won't Bully be in the shit for those two big names he dropped? I mean, I know nobody saw it since us here at the club house make up 68.3% of TNA's total fan base, but still...

:lmao:

This guy is a fucking STAR in the making.:lmao:

They weren't doing the job Spike was paying them to do. That simple. Just like WCW, the numbers aren't working out. There is no reason to search for deeper reasons than that; they are a business that did not appeal to enough customers to justify their expenses.

I am kind of curious if anyone's going to come out of the woodwork with a wildly impractical offer, a la WCW and Eric Bischoff, to get the cred as the guy that tried to 'save' TNA.

For those of you who still enjoyed the product (and weren't choads about it), sorry. This was a long time coming, but that doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

I don't know what the heck they were thinking after BFG 2013 as the product quality seemed to decline right after. Also their library isn't the best so I doubt WWE is buying anything. I'm assuming guys like Roode and Aries would head to the indies or GFW to help kick it off if TNA closes its doors.

They did it because TNA thinks having a grown man who is a "professional" fighter put a middle aged woman through a table a heroic feat to be applauded.

The rumor is TNA secretly hired Russo as a consultant or some shit & kept it from Spike because Spike doesn't like Russo, & didn't want TNA doing business with him. Somebody, Tenay I think, accidentally forwarded an e-mail that was either meant for or from Russo to Spike executives, once they found out TNA was working with Russo despite them telling TNA NOT to work with Russo, Spike canceled the show.

I have no idea how much of that is accurate, or if any of it is even accurate at all.

No, Spike didn't end a several year long relationship with another company because they took advice from a person Spike didn't like.

Christ, people.

TNA wasn't bringing in enough people to justify their existence. They had years to turn things around, and they didn't. It's exactly that simple.

Although I guess we'll never know now if CM Punk would have totally turned around TNA, huh?

I'm still wary of this to be honest. TMZ has a reputation for stirring shit up.

If it turns out to be true, it's really not over unless TNA can't get a television deal. If they secure another network, they'll survive, and TNA WILL draw a fairly large audience to another network if they sign up with that network.

If they can't get a deal...rip in peace.

PWinsider.com asked representatives at Viacom, parent company of SpikeTV, for comment on the TMZ story that they had decided not to renew TNA Impact. We were told:

"Per Viacom company policy - we don’t comment on ongoing negotiations."

So according to this no decision has been made

They may just air it online for a bit. As far as I'm aware they did that in 2004. Still though, who else will take them on? People are saying that Spike barely gave them any promotion but that's irrelevant. Loads of people know about TNA. It's watched in a lot of countries you know. They needed a good creative team which has been terrible since Russo left. When he was head writer, ratings improved yearly and in 2011 they were about 1.3 weekly. Very soon after he left, TNA ratings declined.

Meltzer said yesterday they could only survive online for a few weeks because without the money Spike puts into them which goes to things like wrestlers salaries such as Kurt Angle's, production, travel and assistance in booking arenas, they'd be screwed financially because TNA like nearly every wrestling promotion ever is in debt as it is, and you can only go so far into debt before you file for bankruptcy which if the Carter's do would be pretty embarrassing.

Well the contract ends in October anyway. They've got two months to sort themselves out otherwise they'll file for bankruptcy the same month of their biggest PPV of the year.

Just out of interest, what's ROH's biggest PPV?

Final Battle, which takes place in December and is their next live pay-per-view. It's usually done in the Hammerstein but they're changing it this year after the rent was put up to reportedly $150,000 for a night. And there's no point of doing the Ballroom because they're charging $100,000 for that.

While I'm bummed about this, I'm hoping that they land on their feet. While there are other options, I've been rolling with TNA the last four years. It doesn't make me a mainstay fan like IDR, but I enjoyed it for better or worse. Here's to hoping they can get a TV deal elsewhere.

TNA isn't going to find a new TV deal within eight weeks.

Without a TV deal, the way TNA is structured can't work.

Sorry, kids, it's over. We've all known this was coming since the 'paperwork issues' problem last July. The sooner people grasp this and move on to the next thing, the happier they'll be.

Silver lining: GFW taking over TNA's spot on Spike isn't the craziest thing I've ever heard.
