Harry's & Galloway. Sucks. But hey, I like Anthems thought process. Either you want to work here or not. Now more time for guys like Godderz, Robbie E, DJ Ion, Sutter, Bennet, and Moose to name a few.

How many of them are going to get people talking about TNA and wanting to tune in? The Hardys have a huge fan base and got a lot of eyes on the product with the broken stuff. They need big names to replace them and none of those guys are the answer.

They actually didn't get a lot of eyes on the product. It's been bobbing above and below the 300,000 viewers mark for more than a calendar year.

I know but didn't the Final Deletion episode see a huge ratings spike? And in general The Hardys have a pretty loyal fanbase and I'm sure there's a decent chunk of people who are going to stop watching now that they left. That said I'm sure there's also a good chunk who hate their stuff and are glad they are leaving so it goes both ways.

Yes, and Total Nonstop Deletion had less, and generally, the numbers just never grew. They spiked once or twice because of the absurdity of it all, but things always returned to normal.

New and Former TNA Talents Scheduled to Be at This Week’s Impact Wrestling TV Tapings *Spoilers*

According to PWInsider.com, Konnan is scheduled to be at this week’s TNA Impact Wrestling TV tapings. As noted, Jeff Jarrett recently attended a CRASH event in Mexico, in an attempt to work with the promotion.

Karen Jarrett, wife of Jeff Jarrett, is expected to be a big part of this week’s tapings in an on-air capacity.

Kevin Matthews and Fallah Bah, regulars with WrestlePro in New Jersey, are also booked for the tapings this week. Matthews is a former WWE developmental talent from the Deep South Wrestling days who’s been working regularly in the Northeast. He has previously worked for WWE as an extra. Bah is a big man talent akin to Yokozuna.

Although not confirmed for the tapings, word is TNA is interested in former Ring of Honor star Donovan Dijak.

Oh, boy...

According to early reports from the tapings, Jeremy Borash is doing commentary.

They gave Josh Matthews a tron video with a goat on it.

ODB is back.

The referees have new shirts.

So pretty big news from the taping.

Bruce Pritchard says "I don't think anyone on the Impact Roster can beat Lashley". Cue Del Rio who is going by the new name, Alberto De Patron.

Sorry IDR.

So....basically at least half of the promotion is going to be completely changed with so many new names. I get why they're doing it but this is a very, very risky thing.

Yeah, one of the reports from the early tapings is that they are dropping the TNA name.

Going forward as Impact Wrestling. New logo without the giant owl front and center. The owl is still on the turnbuckle pads though.

I disagree. I think it's the smartest thing they can possibly do. They're basically turning back time here and acknowledging the various wrong turns they've taken. Jarrett, Mantell, and D'Amore running creative. Borash, a TNA—err Impact Wrestling lifer, now on commentary. A bunch of new talent all debuting around the same time (at least at the same taping).

This is what fans have been begging for. Dropping the TNA name for Impact is fine. It's a very small, but important distinct flag-planting moment that can be used to judge the company from this point on.

I like the name change but it's not the be all end all.

The other thing: bringing in all this talent is fine....if the talent is good. If it's a major downgrade, that's another blow to the promotion. I'm going with very cautious optimism but TNA has a bad, bad history of screwing up so many things.

Well, ADR is good. I don't know if he's worth the price tag, but bell-to-bell he can hang. So can Garza Jr.

Just reading the tweets, this feels like the false start they had when they first went to Destination America and filmed those incredible shows in Manhattan with Taz cutting a promo about them turning a corner, etc. That fell through, obviously, but it's the right attitude to have. It's all about trying to get fans to care again.
