Man, the concert was amazing. For his age he still goes hard and it looks like he still has a lot of fun performing. He sang about 30 songs. He played the ukulele, and the man is downright hilarious. When he walked on the stage he said Pittsburgh where here to have fun. I'm gonna sing some new, some old, some remastered songs and some that aren't mine. The fans just loved that. Reminded me of the time he said you know you made it big when you have to pay to sing your own music. He opened with Jet. The song was amazing.
Anyways, he had some good lines. He was talking about Show a guy asked him to sign his butt. He turned around said eh, lemme see it first. I had no problem with his music selection. Didn't recognize one song and that's because he said it was new. He played some of his own music and he even gave us a new song which I thought was very good. He played some Beatles, gave us a few George Harrison songs and a John Lennon song.
He played Let it Be, Obla Di Obla Da, Something, Get Back, Paperback Writer, Eleanor Ribgy, Back in the U.S.S.R, Live and Let Die, Band on the Run, 1985, Helter Skelter, I've got a Feeling and many more. He didn't sing Drive my Car, but that's probably because he gave us something new.
The performance was amazing and I'm so glad I was able to witness such an epic show.
On a side note: the Consol Energy Center is amazing. Even though its a little bit confusing. Not many exits, no ramps, and is just full of a bunch of steps, escalators or elevators. Still laughing at the RC Cola thing though. The sound in the Arena was excellent. The concert just sounded amazing. So much better than the igloo, which sucked as a concert venue.
