IHW Glory!

The A

Pre-Show Stalwart
Sorry for the wait guys. The next post will be my first show. Tell me what you like and don't like about it and i guarantee the next show will be much better. It's my first crack at this. Enjoy!

*Applause, No Pyro*

The Gm is in the ring.

"My name is Caroline Worthington. I come from a very wealthy family and when it comes to making money, it's embedded in my DNA. My parents were successful businessmen and so was I but there is a reason for everything. My reason for being so damn lucky is simple. I'm going to run the best professional wrestling show of all time! Lets waste no more time! Welcome to Glory!"

*Pyro goes off and crowd erupts*

JR: Welcome to the premiere of IHW Glory. Good ol JR

sitting alongside the legendary Taz!

Taz: Thanks JR. I'm truly honored to be calling matches
by your side and I'm not going to have to wait any longer because we're gonna kick things off right now with some high flying cruiserweight action!

*Ricardo Rodriguez is shown standing in the ring with his signature smirk, and he gets a huge ovation. He announces in Spanish, followed by English*

Ricardo: "Welcome to the debut of IHW Glory. Your first match will be between two of the greatest luchadors to ever step foot in a wrestling ring. It is Scheduled for one fall.....

*Sin Caras music hits to a huge ovation*
and his opponent....

*Rey Mysterios music hits and he pops out of the ground for the huge ovation!

*Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara stand in the ring*

JR: Can you believe we are about to see this dream match up? Its only the first episode of Glory! and it's the first match!

Taz: The crowd is going nuts! They know what these two can do and thats put on a show!

*The bell rings and the crowd goes nuts*

*Before the match kicks off, Alberto Del Rios Music hits! He comes out with no car, angry, and to a sea of boos*

Del Rio: "Ricardo! Long time no see how have you been?"

*Ricardo looks at Del Rio in disgust as he remembers how he was treated*

Del Rio: Cmon! One more time for old times sake. Introduce to this lucky crowd, the man they paid to see!

*Ricardo refuses, Del Rio Snatches the mic.

Del Rio: First of all, you two chihuahuas can leave right now if you don't want any problems.

*Cara and Rey are dissappointed but they leave to avoid drama with the arrogant Del Rio. Fans Boo heavily!

Sin Cara Vs Rey Mysterio ends in a no contest and Del Rio begins to cut a promo

Del Rio: Life is short so I wasn't going to wait to come out here and get what it is that I want. IHW needs a face, and who better to be the face of the company the most handsome, charismatic athlete in the world! Glory needs a champion!

*The GM Music hits to cheers*

GM: "Interrupting one of the greatest match ups so that you could selfishly ask to be handed the the title eh? I like it. Thats smart. That match takes place, and you matter that much less. I get it. To come out here and disrespect two greats for your own personal gain, takes some serious balls and I respect that. Don't get me wrong, I don't like you. In fact, I can't stand you! But I respect you, which is why you are going to get exactly what you asked for, which is an opportunity. Alberto Del Rio is officially in the first Glory Championship match!"

*Confusion and boos come from the crowd, Del Rio Smiles heavily*

Del Rio: Thank you. You don't know how much it means to me really (Arrogantly said with a smirk) Tell me. Who will be the lucky man to be beat by the one and only Alberto Del Rio?

Gm: Well I'm glad you asked. Turns out there is more luck going around these days because if you win the championship, it isn't going to be just one man taking a loss to the "Almighty" Alberto. You'll be up against 5 other opponents. I've got a roster full of stars, and legends. You didn't think I would forget about them right? It's going down like this. I'm putting together 4 dream match ups tonight. Match ups much like the one you ruined tonight. The winners of those matches get to be in the title match. The final spot will be decided in a battle royal. I'm glad I could help you so can you please go away now? I don't want to see your face until the title match.

*Del Rio is angry as he knows his chances are slim but he smirks knowing that he didn't have to compete to earn his title shot. The crowd is satisfied!*

******Commercial Break*******

*We return to see the GM standing in the back with the roster*

GM: Ok guys. So as you know I'm trying to run a great show and give everyone a chance to be in the title picture. I want to see who can come out on top. don't worry if you don't get it done this time. If you aren't popular, then your chances are not going to be as good but it doesn't mean that your chances are Zero. I believe that the best wrestler will be champion first. So I'll send two of you out at a time for a match. the winner of the match gets to be in the first Glory Championship match. Those who aren't sent out for matches will enter a battle royal and the winner of that gets the last spot in the title match.

*The roster seems to be satisfied*

GM: The first match will be.....*She looks around, thinking. She is obviously improvising*

Kane Vs Triple H!!!! *Crowd erupts*

JR: "That match is next!!"

****Commercial****

JR: So already we don't even know what to expect around here. So much going on and none of it is planned, I don't know how long things are going to be civilized around here!

Taz: Civilized? With guys like Del Rio running around stirring up trouble, things are going to get ugly in no time.

JR: That might be a damn pretty thing to watch and this next match is a perfect example. Two legendary athletes. A main event caliber match and I don't think anyone would dare interrupt a match between these two so its safe to assume this will be the first match we get to see!

****Kane Pyros and music to a nice ovation****

****HHH comes out to a huge ovation, but the music stops as he is on the ramp with a mic****

HHH: I came into this business for one reason and one reason only. Money! I wasn't in this to be a legend, or for the fans, I wanted to get rich. ( cheers start to turn to boos) I was there. I was about to inherit a fortune. What the hell happened to the wwe? I don't know but now, I'm right back where I Started. i could see the guys in the back looking at me. they think I'm too old. They think that I can't do what I've done to earn the name the game, the cerebral assassin. They thought wrong. I'm pissed and the only thing that could surpress my anger is beating the living hell out of whoever keeps me from being at the top. Tonight, It's you Kane! Nothing personal, It's just business!

*** HHH enters the ring, the bell goes off, and HHH Vs Kane is under way!***

The two start to brawl, trading right hands. HHH gains the initiative. He mercilessly pounds on Kane until Kane gets a chance to come back with a boot to the face. Kane goes for the Chokeslam but it is reversed and HHH hits his signature knee drop. Hunter goes for a pedigree but Kane barely reverses and attacks Hunter's bad quad. HHH goes down in pain, but in rage. HHH hops up hits Kane with a huge right hand, and continues to pound on an unconscious Kane. Hunter stops as he begins to feel more pain from Kanes dirty shot to the bad quad. Kanes shoulders are down and as Hunter pauses, he does not realize that he gets the 3 count on Kane! The bell rings and Hunters music hits, but he isn't celebrating. He is hurt. Both are carried to the back by emts....

***HHH defeats Kane by pinfall***

***Commercial Break***

JR: As you've just seen, Kane intentionally injured HHH as a means to get a win. As a veteran, Kane knew about HHH's weakness and tried to capitalize but it cost him. Kane has suffered a concussion and a fractured orbital bone. as of now, it isn't known if HHH can compete in the title match. The injury isn't serious, but it will keep him out of action for a short while.
Taz: We don't even know when that match is going to take place but HHH better hope it isn't tonight, or even at the next Glory. He isn't a fresh young star anymore. He is still the game, but he is human. We'll keep you updated.

***The GM is once again shown in the back with the roster***

GM: So Lets get straight into this next match. Ummmm.....Ok. Another Dream match up is about to come true! Daniel Bryan Vs Kurt Angle!!

****The crowd goes nuts****

JR: Daniel Bryan Vs Kurt Angle is Next!

****Commercial Break*****

****Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring with a smirk on his face, to a mixed reaction***

****Angle comes out to a huge ovation****

****Daniel Bryan Vs Kurt Angle is under way!*****

Both men start off strong as they go back and fourth with some chain wrestling. Angle gains the initiative and begins to work on Bryan's ankle. Angle goes for the ankle lock early but Bryan rolls out of the ring for a break. He reenters and Angle stomps on him and pays attention to the ankle again. Angle whips Bryan to the ropes and goes to tackle Bryan by the legs but Bryan jumps over and bounces back with a clothesline. Bryan goes for the Labbelle lock but angle quickly gets up and hits an Angle slam! Bryan uses the momentum of the move to roll out of the ring for another break. Angle stands in the ring with his hands on his hips as Bryan lets the count get to 9 before he gets back in the ring and is once again met with some Angle stomps. Bryan is whipped to the corner where he does his signature backflip and clothesline. He goes for the drop kick but angle moves and locks in the ankle lock! Bryan holds on and does a flip causing angle to be launched through the second rope onto the outside. Bryan quickly follows angle outside and stomps on Angle. Angle fights to his knees but is hit with one of Bryans devastating kicks to the head. the count is at 8, Bryan enters the ring, angle is down on the outside and he is counted out. Bryan celebrates to a sea of boos!

***Daniel Bryan Defeats Kurt Angle by countout***

***After a break, The GM is once again shown with the roster in the back***

GM: Ok I'm honestly not liking the way things are turning out so far. I've got guys hurt, and I've got dream match ups being ruined. I'm upset. You do not want to see what happens when I get angry, trust me. I....

Mark Henry: HEY!(Henry interrupts and walks up to the Gm) Look I want my match to be next and I want the best you got. I'm ready to prove why I'm the worlds strongest man and the only person on this roster capable of being world champ. I'll face anyone and I'll beat them fair and square, not by no countout or cheapshots.

***The Gm smiles***

Gm: Take notes guys. Sometimes you've gotta get what you want even if it means being a prick about it. Ok Mark your match is going to be next. Anyone? How about any two? You're the worlds strongest man so it shouldn't be a problem. How about your old pal the big show? and ummmm.. Oh ok. The crowd is gonna love this. a fresh face in the mix. Brodus Clay! A triple threat clash of the titans next! Get out there guys!

***The three men each enter with good responses from the crowd and the Triple threat match between Mark Henry, Big Show, and Brodus Clay is under way!***

The match starts with Brodus and Big show ganging up on Henry. Henry fights back with right hands to each and he actually manages to get both men onto there knees. he whips Brodus to the opposite corner, then he whips big show right into Clay and follows up with a splash to both men in the corner! Henry goes for the pin on Clay but Clay quickly kicks out. He pins show but he kicks out as well. Henry goes to lift show and show fights back with a right hand to the gut and a scoop slam on Henry. Clay comes out with a body splash on Henry. After beating on Henry some more, Show and Clay decide they want to take him completely out of the match to make it one on one. Clay is holding Henry and Show goes for the WMD but Henry ducks and Clay is knocked out. Big Show shows concern then turns around right into a worlds strongest slam. Henry gets the clean pin and a decent reaction from the crowd!

****Henry defeats Brodus Clay and Big show by pin fall****

****After a break the Gm is shown again in the back****

GM: Thats what I like. Henry said he was going to do something. i stacked the odds against him, and he still came out on top. I've got a feeling, He'll be champion sooner or later, If he isn't the first that is. So we have our main event next. I've decided that we will hold the battle royal for the final spot to open up the next edition of Glory. That way, those who lost tonight can enter fresh. I realize that that spot is going to be important. I apologize to those who didn't have a match of their own to qualify. Life isn't fair and that's why I respect those who take what they want but don't think that i am not friendly towards those who are patient. I respect tolerance. You've got to work your way up the ranks before you get noticed and given opportunity. With that said, lets get into this main event. It's going to be between two of the best this industry has seen. It's going to be between the very first draft picks of Glory. Randy Orton Vs. RVD!

***After a break we see a crew of refs in the back tending to a hurt RVD. He says he was attacked from behind and doesn't know who it was but he is fine and will go out to compete***

***Orton makes his way to the ring with a smirk, to a nice reaction. RVD enters to a huge ovation. He stares at Orton in the ring as he walks down the ramp. He enters and the bell rings*

Rvd walks up to Orton and is heard saying "Was it you?" Orton is smirking but not saying anything. "You attacked me didn't you? You scared or someth..." Orton kicks him in the gut and begins to stomp rvd. Orton lifts him up for a few European uppercuts. Orton whips RVD into the corner but RVD counters with a boot. RVD goes for a spinning wheel kick but Orton ducks and hits a dropkick. Orton controls most of the match, until RVD counters Ortons second rope ddt and flips Orton over the top rope to the outside. RVD hits a suicide dive, Throws Orton back in the ring, and hits the rolling thunder. Orton kicks out of a pin but is floored by a kick to the head. RVD is going for the frogsplash. He leaps high with all his might, and it allows time for Orton to pop up while RVD is in the air. RVD lands right into a devastating RKO! Orton gets the pin. After the bell, he looks down at RVD with the evil grin. As Orton is leaving the ring, he turns around and sees RVD getting up. Instead of just leaving, Orton turns around and delivers the punt to RVD. The crowd boos heavily. We hear Orton say" Yeah it was me Rob!" Orton stands in the ring with his smirk, drowning in the sea of boos.

***Orton Defeats RVD by pinfall***

JR: That just isn't necessary! What has gotten into Orton?

Taz: That kid just has problems man.

JR: Well we've got 5 out of 6 competitors for the title but what is the GM going to say about Orton? Is Orton going to explain his actions? We are out of time. Thank you for tuning into the first episode of Glory!

***Camera fades as Orton continues to smirk***

GrandSword Review

Welcome to BT The A, and congrats on your first show. It's great that you and the other 2 guys are working togther to put togther something a little different and hopefully a little special. The most important thing about this is to have fun. So let's get to it.

If you are new to the site you're probably not up with all the colours, and font sizes and images and all the little things you can do to make certain segment stand out. You'll probably get a lot of feedback about your formatting. I'm not going to harp o it, for the simple fact that what you've done is readable. So for me no probs there.

Alot of BT when they start out though like to have their first post as a rundown of their roster. Especially since its not a WWE or TNA fed. I know it is in your website thread but just to pimp your own thread up its nice to see who we are reading about.

This show is your own creation and I like the GM, is she Dixie Carter inspired? A rich woman taking the reigns. She pops up throghout the show, now some may say this is a bad move, but it is indeed different and you don't have to follow any conventions what so ever, so good work on writing it that way.

So we get Sin Cara vs Rey Mysterio, Bryan vs Angle, Kane vs HHH and a big man triple threat with Orton vs RVD as your main event. Got to say, just what a first show needs, big matches to get people talking about what they are going to see.

All in all a nice first show. Experiment with your formatting a bit and keep this going it looks like just a heap of fun. Good work and congrats again on your first show A.

Thanks a bunch on your feedback. I knew i wasn't formatting it in the best way since I'm not too familiar with the colors etc and my limited time with internet but I was just nervous about the actual show. Looking back I could have probably fit another promo or match in but Im relieved that you thought it was ok. The next one should be better. Once again thanks for the feedback! Keep it coming! And Btw, The gm is more Stephanie inspired. I wanted it to be a rich powerful, younger woman I really dont know why. I actually had a whole backstory written on her. I left it out since it was really long.

Hey A, the longer the better here. Give us the back story of the GM.

Few thoughts- I think you should focus more on length. A lot of people like to read long matches and long promos. You have a lot of skill with booking. Matches like RKO vs. RVD and Bryan vs. Angle. The HHH and Orton quick heel turns were nice. Just remember we each only do 2 shows apiece before a PPV. So the next show definitely needs to set up you 2 or 3 PPV matches. You need to focus on the other titles and side feuds next time too. You did really really good with this first show. Im new here as well, so i will let the others like Proph, Theo, GCB and others tell you things you can improve on.

Thanks for helping me bring my idea to life.

Thanks man I'm glad I could be a part of it and thanks for those pointers about the next show. it helps a lot. I'm already feeling very confident about the next one!

just checked out your show man and theres some things i liked and other things i didnt like.

things i did like i do like your gm its different a rich woman who seems pretty bitchy is a little different i like that we got a little bit of backstory to her in the first show and i really liked how you showed many different people showcasing a bit of your roster and showing what i assume will be your top stars from who was in this tournament? also the matches werent too short so thats good but making them a little longer wouldnt be bad.

things i didnt like honestly while i do like your gm she appeared way too much in the show for my liking i think she should have announced the matches at the beginning instead of right before the match in doing this you could have had maybe a promo from 1 person in this tournament or maybe someone who didnt debut could have had a interview. the only other thing i didnt like was there wasnt really any clean finishes to matches at all that kinda bugged me maybe theres a reason behind it and it is your first show so ill give you a break but in the future i suggest having clean finishes but its up to you.

all in all i like the show i was surprised Brodus Clay was in the match with henry & show but it was a nice surprise goodluck in the future.

Critical Review

It seems to me every time your Name has IHW in it your show just seems to suck. the more read of this the more i hated it, your GMs name is Caroline Worthington :icon_neutral: for gods sake and the fact that you think a WOMAN has the ability to make money is complete Bullshit, a woman couldn't make money if a winning lottery ticket fell from the sky right into their hands. One the major piss offs for me would have to be the fact that i have to fuckin read the entire thing just to find the motherfuckin matches! And when i do find them, i find shit like HHH vs Kane (the fuck is this?) those two morons in the ring together makes me want to retire. Whatever parallel universe your in where HHH is able to beat Kane is fuckin insane to me that oddly shaped bastard couldn't pin a button on his shirt. I'll skip the rest of the shit like Kurt Angle vs RVD (whoever puts kurt Angle on there roster willingly is an idiot) because its just worthless to talk about. Now, have you ever gotten so mad that you went and bought a prostitute just to beat her and throw her in a ditch well thats what i did when Mark henry beat the 500lbs big show, ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME! this match mine as well be your last out of 10 i give your show a catholic Nun because no ones touching this show in a long time.

Bearded Review

-Before we get started, welcome to the book this section The A. Hopefully you and IHW can share the same success Peep and I are having as a joint book this. Best of luck to you and I look forward to reading the shows. Lets get started.

-First and foremost formatting is important. I found your formatting distracting and it made things difficult to read. The bolded lettering and bigger font sort of clashed. Though I see you said you are new to the place and are learning the formatting tools. Hopefully you can get them down and improve there. Another hint is to separate your matches from the other text. Quotes or a different color would be best.

-ADR interrupts Sin Cara/Mysterio. You got Del Rio down, props on that as I find him hard to write for. He gets a shot at the title, interesting. Good points made by the GM however. Only issue I have here is I can't see Sin Cara and Rey backing down. Especially Rey, considering the history between him and Del Rio.

-Triple H heel turn, I dig that. Though I can see the crowd getting behind Hunter still. Trips wins, but at what cost. Seems Kane will be out of commission for awhile and Hunter may be as well. Interesting start.

-DB/Angle, nice. Good match, your match writing isn't too shabby. Kudos to you on that. I like DB winning by countout as it saves us for a potential matchup down the line.

-Henry winning the triple threat, ehh. I'd rather see Clay win just to see a new face in the main event scene. However anything is better than Big Show, so you have that in your favor. I'm still trying to figure out whether or not I like the GM. Not sure if that is good or bad.

-An Orton heel turn to end the show. Nice twist. I'm hit or miss with Orton personally. I enjoy his ring work as I can expect a good match to come from him. However I don't care for him as a character. Maybe some needed juice was added to Orton's character and I look forward to seeing how you handled it.

-Overall on paper the show was stacked. Fantastic matchups left and right. Like I mentioned earlier your match writing is pretty solid and can get by on being shorter. Grandsword and JAM are good examples that a shorter writing style can be successful. Still unsure on the GM. She wants things done and I like that, just unsure about how involved she seems to be. Only other issue is that we had a handful of injuries and we are one show in. Hunter's health is in question. Kane has a broken face and a concussion. RVD suffered a punt, that likely will keep him out. That was really the only flaw I could see in the show. I look forward to the next one and hopefully you continue to get better. Best of luck.
