If You're Pissed About Taker Vs. Lesnar Come Scream Out A Lung

Never Forget

While I've accepted that The Streak is over, I still have the numb feeling I have from the initial shock of its end. Brock was the right choice to end the Streak, effectively being the only person Undertaker has never beaten on any occasion, which is a feat in of itself. Given more news is coming out that Taker got hurt early on and that it was ended on his terms because he feels he can't give the effort he can, I respect he chose to end it in a way that will be remembered for years to come. Doesn't stop me from being sad that it happened, but man, certainly adds something to WM30, that's for sure.

Someone also pointed out that WWE.com were quick to add this update:

Brock Lesnar is definitely the most hated man on the planet right now, but he's the guy who can carry all that heat. I don't think anyone else could to be honest. An irony is that I said before the match 'Now let's see if Brock can avenge the 10th anniversary of his match with Goldberg', he delivered on that for certain. It's weird to think he's only been at 4 'Manias and he Main Evented his first one, had a memorable stinker, had a brutal match with Triple H and ended the Streak. Just 4 'Manias and he's left a big mark.

It's a damn shame they didn't use the streak ending to turn Cena heel.

Streak ending was the only thing able to generate the shock that Hogan turning did. Can't be replicated.

WWE made all the money they needed on The Streak. Its been said for years that Taker has a say in who his Mania opponent is, if he wanted to lose it to Lesnar then that's all there is to it, no money, no Vince, no creative, no Triple H, nothing else needs to be taken into consideration. It's Taker choice and he felt Brock was the guy to break the streak.

All the money they needed, but not all they wanted. Money was the only reason why the the streak was still alive. Now that it's not that money tap is gone.

Works for me. I was calling for it last year and named Lesnar as I guy I'd be fine with ending it months ago. That Heyman promo sealed the deal. It was time.

You keep saying that and you're still wrong. Quit imposing your own lack of an imagination on everyone else.

Difference of opinion on a how a pro wrestling angle should play out =/= wrong

"Wrong" implies something factual is involved, which is not the case here

Lol nobody is imposing anything, calm down bruh

You were the one implying that something factual was involved by saying that it cannot be replicated rather than saying that you don't think/believe it could be replicated.

You're not going to beat me in a game of semantics.

Thought you were talking about me being wrong about Cena turning heel

As far as the Undertaking thing being the only thing that can come close to Hogan turning, then yeah I don't see anything else coming close to those two things for a long time . . . especially now that we're in an internet era where angles are broken weeks in advance

How would beating Taker at Mania turn Cena heel? Fans would boo? Here's a breaking news flash- they do that now.

Some people act as though turning Cena heel would be some impossible task. Quite the opposite.

Cena beating the streak would turn the crowd fully against him. He would be instantly hated by anyone that likes him.

Plus it is easy to turn him heel. It is just not smart to do so.

It wouldn't turn his fans against him, that's stupid. If they liked Undertaker more than they like Cena then he would be the top guy. The only people who would boo him are the people who already do.

He has been saying that if any of these young guys wanna be the top guy then they would have to go through him. Well what if Daniel Bryan were to hold onto the title until Summerslam and Cena gets a rematch. Cena, having already lost to Daniel clean in the past, realizes that he can't beat him and dies something dastardly to win the title. It would certainly turn him heel and possibly even freshen up Daniel in the process.

Not saying this should happen, but it's just as plausible as the Undertaker thing.

Beating something like Taker's streak instantly makes you hated by nearly everyone (kids wouldn't boo him but that's different). I think it would basically be a heel turn by any face if they had beat Taker's streak.

I am pissed off about the ending of the match, but probably not for the same reason as the rest of you.

I'm stationed at Camp Kopp on FOB Leatherneck, I watch WWE PPVs for free on AFN. Those PPVs don't air until Tuesday at 14:30 for me. This means that I have to avoid the internet from Monday morning until after the PPV airs.

I was doing great, I was literally thirty minutes away from Wrestlemania XXX airing on AFN Xtra. Pringles in hand, near beer on the coffee table of the lounge, some jackass passed out on a sofa because I guess he had to pull a double shift on guard duty, the only female marine on the camp asking me stupid shit like "How do I use the Wifi?". NOTHING could ruin this for me, because I was about to watch Wrestlemania XXX.

AFN Xtra airs a little show at 14:00 called @Midnight. They show clips from the internet and make fun of them.

The. First. Fucking. Clip. They. Fucking. Show. Is. THE MOTHER FUCKING AFTERMATH OF THE UNDERTAKER VS BROCK LESNAR!!!

Pringles on the floor, near beer exploding against the wall, the jackass waking up like he heard a misfire, the female marine pissing herself and one pissed off Tech Sergeant screaming at the top of his lungs "FUCKING BULLSHIT!!" so fucking loudly that it probably made The Iron Sheik bow to his fucking rug.

I was only mildly upset that a jack-off like Brock Lesnar was able to get this feather in his cap. He's an arrogant douche who steps into the ring for an easy pay-check. Yadda' yadda', boo hoo. It wasn't how I wanted a legend like The Undertaker to lose at Wrestlemania, if he was really having a hard time hanging he should have retired 21 and 0. I would have only accepted Sting taking that from him, after watching it a second time it still didn't sit right.

I had probably the biggest finish of a match spoiled for me by some fucking stupid show that hipsters probably *********e to.

As nasty as I can be when describing Brock Lesnar, we all have to admit a few things. The man defeated The Undertaker, and in time it will sink in that there are no more chapters to that story. I didn't accept it earlier today, but I'm starting to now.

I am very sad.

Sad that it had to end sometime
Sad that it can't be undone
Sad that it was to Lesnar

I am not angry.

Not angry at how weak Undertaker looked
Not angry that Brock is a part-timer
Not angry with myself for being a mark

I am just sad.
