The Viper

Occasional Pre-Show
Ok so it might just be me... But i really don't Want to see the Cena-HHH-HBK match at SS. Im not saying its going to be a bad match, nor am i bashing any of the three competitors, all im saying is i was hoping for a fresh face in the title picture after Orton and thats not exactly what we are seeing. Granted HBK hasn't been in the title picture in a while but hes been there plenty of times in the past, and these 3 have feuded with each other for the strap plenty of times in the past. So pretty much there really isn't much of a change here

SO if you could change this match, go back to the raw that those 2 dudes from nascar made this match (yeah i dont like nascar so their names dont matter) And make a different match, what would you like it to be? Im going to go with this

The show starts out with those 2 guys announcing a scramble match main event for the #1 contender spot. HHH vs HBK vs Rhodes vs Dibiase vs MVP vs Swagger vs Miz (i would put kofi in here but he was busy with orton) The winner being Swagger!

This would be a fresh face in the title scene, and a great way to move Swagger up to at least upper mid card status, we all know Cena is going to retain regardless. So why not put a new face into the picture and let them put on a great showing almost winning the title?

Thoughts?

As I just stated in a different thread, on the European tour, WWE is testing Swagger as a challenger for Cena's belt. On a show in Ireland, I believe, they booked a #1 Contender battle royal to open the show. The winner received a shot at Cena's belt later in the show. The winner? Swagger.

Of course, Cena retained, but it was a great opportunity to test Swagger in the main event. House shows are a common way for WWE to get an idea how audiences respond to performers, how champ/challenger interact in the ring and what might be possible in a feud between two competitors.

At the moment, I think it would be fantastic if Swagger got moved closer to the main event. As you say, he's not going to take the belt from Cena, but just putting him in the main event against him gives the younger performer some "rub." Down the road, it'll make Swagger a legit main event contender.

That's what WWE needs to create right now, fresh new faces for the title scene. They're off to a great start here, and I think Swagger is fairly ready for whatever lies ahead.

As its Survivor Series I'd like the main event to be a Survivor Series style match up, DX/Cena/MVP/Henry vs Jerishow/Legacy(less Orton)/Swagger(qualifying through another match).

Could even add a stipulation (not necessary though) that If the champions get pinned/submit they drop the belt to whoever beats them?

I would've liked to see this Jerishow build be a little different which would include the Raw title. When Chris Jericho hears that Big Show gets the title shot on Smackdown, I think he should've somehow gotten himself the title shot on Raw. Instead of competing against each other in the same match they could have been competing against each other in separate title matches. This could have led to them trying to one-up each other building up to Survivor Series, and create some fantastic main events on Raw and Smackdown with the two of them facing the other one's ppv opponent and have them cheat to beat each of the champions in non-title matches leading into the ppv. I think this would've been great because it would give Cena somebody besides HHH or Orton to compete with (even though he has been in many matches with Jericho as well it would still be fresher than HHH or Orton). And could have continued towards the eventual Jerishow split. Jericho and Big Show could have somehow each cost each other theirs matches at SS and blame each other for not being World Champions.

Is it just me or are they building towards a Jerishow vs Brothers of Destruction feud? Personally I hope they are! They could do an angle where Jerishow beat down Kane with a helpless Undertaker watching, and force his mask back on. A masked Face (no pun intended) Kane would please the fans no end!

That is the Smackdown main event I would have had for SS. As for the RAW main event, I probably would pick Swagger too. Remember that great match that Cena and Swagger had on RAW when Swagger was ECW champ? That really helped build Swagger as a future main eventer. They could even have had Miz cost Swagger the match in some way, or try to (without making Cena look weak, of course). This would have helped to build both Swagger AND Miz.

indeed swagger is good... but i would love to have seen tyler rex move to raw and be a fast upcomer that cena is mentoring... i know it sound farfetched but i think it could have worked... have cena and rex team up for a while... then have rex win a number 1 contenders, then fall short a couple times with cena... finaly win it... then that could be a good way of cena turning heal...

Because there are soooooooo many instances where a mask gets forced back ON to somebody. That could be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.

...all im saying is i was hoping for a fresh face in the title picture...

For the 35,000th time, THERE IS NOBODY FRESH TO PUT IN A SERIOUS TITLE HUNT RIGHT NOW. When will you people learn this? Kofi, Morrison, Swagger, MVP, whoever you name... THEY ARE NOT READY. If they were ready, they would be in the title chase. I love what's happening with Kofi, but just because he cut the promo of his life (and pretty much only promo ever), doesn't mean he's going to be thrown into title matches with no regard.

The title matches for SSeries are just fine. Plus, they both contain superstars we don't see in title matches everyday with HBK, and Jericho. Hell, even Big Show is somewhat fresh to the title scene. We don't want the title on him, but he's fresh. DX needs broken up badly and hopefully they can start to do it. If not, whatever. The SSeries matches are fine the way they are.

Right after Bragging Rights, the way I thought to myself how I'd book the card, to give way to the feuds I'd like to see in the future, was the following:

WWE Championship: John Cena vs. Jack Swagger
--Not the focal point of the card, and even so, you don't have to worry about star power as all the big names are on the ppv. Gives Swagger a boost, gives Cena someone different to work with, and gives the audience something fresh. Cena retains.

World Heavyweight Championship: Undertaker vs. CM Punk
--Some kind of final match between the two to completely end their feud. Maybe a casket match. Taker retains.

Unified Tag Team Championship: JeriShow vs. DX
--If you plan on having Jericho as world champ for WrestleMania, which at the time was the impression that I was getting and what I'm hoping we'll still get instead of Batista, you have them drop the belts to DX and Jericho start up a feud with Taker at TLC, which can resume and end at the Royal Rumble.

ECW Championship: Christian vs. William Regal
--Since that was the only thing they've been building up to. Regal wins the title here. Not a big fan of his, but it just feels like he should win it, then drop it to Shelton in my mind, around the Royal Rumble.

Elimination Match 1: Batista, Kane, Dolph Ziggler, & Knox/McIntyre vs. Rey Mysterio, John Morrison, Matt Hardy, & Finlay/R-Truth
--The biggest names on Smackdown that aren't injured or currently involved in other things. Mysterio's team wins because of Morrison, who is thought to receive a title match at TLC because of it, but Jericho beats him for #1 contendership, possibly setting up Morrison/Jericho at WrestleMania. Morrison then starts a feud with whomever he eliminated last, whether it be Batista or Kane.

Elimination Match 2: Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, & The Miz vs. Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, MVP, and Evan Bourne
--Comes down to Kofi against Orton and DiBiase, wherein Kofi pins Orton, but DiBiase pins Kofi. That way, it helps the tension between Orton/DiBiase.

+ some divas match, I don't care what.

That's the way I'd love to have seen it done, BUT, and this is a big "but", that's only if they were to have said to me that I could pick what they were doing the next few months and most importantly, for WrestleMania. We don't know right now what their goal is for WM26, and a few months from now, we might look at this current card as the best possible route for what was the plan. We may equally look back and say it was atrocious, like they've done in the past, but you never know. Somehow, though, I can't help but feel cheated that we didn't get to see a legit tag title defense between JeriShow and DX, and I think a lot of people that could've been on this card in a way that would help their careers are being left off for no reason whatsoever.

WWE Championship
John Cena vs. The Miz
- The Miz beat Jonh Morrison in bragging rights. Which propels him to get a title shot at Survivor Series. Prior to The Bash, see these two work together made me wish they had a long term program together. Of course Cena wins but The Miz looks good loosing.

Buried Alive Match: World Heavyweight Championship
The Undertaker vs. CM Punk
- CM Punk needs to win this. I mean one comment and Punk is in the dog house? Plus it doesnt make sense having the Taker and Punk feud if it was just to bury Punk. I was hoping this would be the main event where Punk regains the WHC.

Unified WWE Tag Team Championship
The Big Show and Chris Jericho vs. Triple H and Shawn Michaels
- Funny how the DX team of Michaels and Triple H never won the Tag Titles. With their feud so heated I thought this would make a good match.

RAW: Classic Survivor Series Match
Team Kingston vs. Team Orton
Kofi Kingston, Evan Bourne, Mark Henry, MVP, and Jamie Noble vs. Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Ted Debiase, Jack Swagger, and Sheamus
Finals: Kingston survives due to a miscommunication with Orton, Debiase, and Rhodes

Smackdown! Classic Survivor Series Match
Team Mysterio vs. Team Batista
Rey Mysterio, Cryme Tyme, John Morrison, and Matt Hardy vs. Batista, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, and The Hart Dynasty
- Survivor: Batista. Ends with Batista and Mysterio as the final two but Mysterio just walks out. Adding tension to this match.

Diva's Classic Survivor Series Match
RAW Divas vs. Smackdown! Divas

ECW Classic Survivor Series Match
Team Christian vs. Team Regal
Christian, Yoshi Tatsu, Gregory Helms, Goldust, and <face> and vs. William Regal, Shelton Benjamin, Vladamir Kozlov, Ezikiel Jackson, and Paul Birchill
- Survivor: Regal's team wins leading to a title match down the line

I would make the Triple Threat match for the world title Batista vs. Rey mysterio vs. the undertaker. THat way the tag titles can be defended at SS.

I say go back 2 the essence of the Survivor Series & have the 10 man elimination matches, that was how fueds either started or ended in some cases

Cena or MVP would've been great choices and this would've been a great feud or change of direction than this triple threat match. at least HBK is a nice little addition to have instead of Orton somehow gettting in and Triple H.

i would definitely change the main event because i have had enough with triple h. hbk is much more deserving, dont get me wrong triple h works hard but hes stale and overrated.

A couple of days ago, I was watching an old SmackDown! episode from 2004 and it was the night after the Royal Rumble. What they did to determine who would face Brock Lesnar at No Way Out for the title was a mini-Royal-Rumble. I think that is what they should of done and here are the people I think that should of competed:

Carlito vs Chris Masters vs Jack Swagger vs Mark Henry vs M.V.P vs Shawn Michaels vs Sheamus VS Triple H

And it would be a 8-man over-the-top-rope match to determine who would face John Cena at Survivor Series.

The 4 last people would be, Jack Swagger, M.V.P, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H.

Triple H gets eliminated and then it's down to Swagger, M.V.P, and Michaels.

M.V.P and Jack Swagger both team up and eliminate Michaels.

In the end, both Jack Swagger and M.V.P eliminate each other at the end and both are inserted in the main event at Survivor Series.

This only would happen in my dreams because Triple H would only agree to be eliminated if he was the last person to be eliminated.

The only thing I don't like about the SS tiles matches is that both RAW and Smackdown are pretty much putting on the same match. Champion defending in a triple threat against a tag team. We already have them PPV's where the main events are the same and we're already going to have a lot of 5 on 5 matches. So why would they put on pretty match the same main event for their world titles?

The only reason HHH still has a job is cos he's married up with Vince McMahon's Daughter, who happens to be the chief of creative.

Same with Randy Orton, the only reason he gets pushed to the moon is cos of his Dad and Grandad being Legends, and the fact that he's friends with HHH.
