all great matches, but i would sacrifice my time travel for the sake of all....
i'd steal the gobbledy gooker costume before it was too late.
i'd teach john Tenta to step crash through a fake wall without falling, because i"d REALLY like to see what WCW was gonna do with the Shockmaster.
i'd make sure the ring ropes didn't break when the Rockers "won" their one and only tag division title.
i'd do it all for you guys.. the fans....
oh and stop bastion booger from you know..... ugh........

For me:

Texas Stadium 1984, Parade of Champions- Kerry Von Erich beats Ric Flair to win the NWA title in front of more than 30,000 fans in honor of his brother David who died 3 months prior !

Couple of other shows:

July 1985 first Great American Bash(Flair vs Nikita and the Road Warriors vs the Russians)

May 1986 Houston, Texas Terry Gordy wins the UWF tournement.

Off the top of my head, probably Wrestle Kingdom III. From top to bottom it was one of the most consistent and technical shows ever. I know a lot of people say WrestleMania 17 was that, and I agree to some degree, but most of the matches were little quickie clusterfucks on the bottom half of the card. Wrestle Kingdom III though was very consistent with only one big "meh" match (I'm looking at you Team 3D).

WM3 is a great one for the atmosphere and a good solid choice. However, if I'd probably for something in the 90's, for me a lot of wrestlemania matches prior to about 12 or 13 had poor matches, ones with big stars like Andre but not really good wrestling matches.

I think it would be interesting going to an event ~ '97, one where the attitude era noticeably started to kick-off. The Montreal screw job perhaps, for me it would have to be wrestlemania 13. Turned Austin face and the rest is history.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Bash at the Beach '96, just knowing where it was all heading would be a satisfying feeling.

I would love to go to Wrestlemania 13 and see Stone Cold passed out in a pool of blood. That was an epic match with the perfect ending. The rest of the card was pretty good, too. Honestly, I would go to any Wrestlemania.

I would also like to witness the Montreal Screwjob in person. I think that would be pretty cool to watch. There are so many more events I would like to go to but those are the two main ones.

The WCCW show at the Cotton Bowl from 1985 featuring the "Hair vs Hair" match between Kerry & Kevin Von Erich vs "The Dynamic Duo" of Gino Hernandez & Chris Adams would be another show I'd like to have attended. Huge crowd and they were hot as hell !

I'd pick either Starcade 1989 - Future Shock (Night of the Iron Man) to see the Iron Man (Sting, World Champ Flair, U.S. Champ Luger, and T.V. Champ Great Muta) and Iron Team tournaments (World Tag Champs Steiners, Roadwarriors, Doom, and SST),

or

Great American Bash 1990 (Sting beats Flair for the World Heavyweight Title and the pop is the biggest ever in wrestling; plus at ringside are El Gigante handcuffed to Ole Anderson, JYD, Paul Orndorff, and The Steiners).


Honorable mention:

The first Clash of the Champions (Sting vs. Flair for the World Heavyweight Title) or Clash of the Champions 9 - New York Knockout (Flair vs. Funk in an I Quit match)

WOW! Awesome thread. This is really a hard choice. But if I had to choose...in the 80's - definitely Wrestlemania 3. Early 90's - Wrestlemania 7 (one of my all time favorites). Late 90's - Survivor Series 1997 - I woulda love to have seen the whole screwjob thing go down in person.. 2000's- Wrestlemania 17 in Houston. One of my definite favs! I was at WM 19 in Seattle which was just AWESOME, will never forget it. I was outta my seat the whole time for the Michaels/Jericho match.....Recent Memory - I woulda loved to have been at Royal Rumble 2011 to see Alberto Del Rio win the Royal Rumble!
