What's good Everyone?

I was thinking about something today and I want to know where everyone mind is at. So my Question is, If Kane was to win the 2014 Royal Rumble, how would you book his Road to WrestleMania?

Now let's get one thing straight here, it's not guaranteed that Kane will win the 2014 Royal Rumble, and I don't know the plans WWE may have for Kane come WrestleMania. But just say if he was to win the Royal Rumble, how would you book his road to WrestleMania?

For those who know the history of Kane in Royal Rumbles. Kane is by far one of the most dominant in Ring Competitors to ever compete in a Royal Rumble but has yet to win a Royal Rumble. Is he deserving to win a Royal Rumble Yes he is.

But How I would do it with it being WM 30 is have Kane Win the Rumble and Have Undertaker show up and for a WWE Title Match and win the WWE Title at the Royal Rumble. Along the way for Kane, I would have numerous Superstars and even top officials cut promos on how they feel Kane wouldn't make a great main eventer for WM 30. Even going as far as forming alliances and causing a Main Event Tag Team Match in which Undertaker and Kane would put there #1 contendership and WWE Championship on the line vs. 2 potential Main Eventers at the February Pay Per View. And The Brothers Of Destruction will prevail gearing up for the final ever Undertaker vs. Kane Match. And make that either a Hell In A Cell, Inferno, or a Casket Match. So how would you book Kane's road to WrestleMania?

The odds of Kane winning the 2014 Royal Rumble are about as good as Paul Heyman being given 100%, complete creative control over WWE. I'm a fan of Kane, have been since he first appeared in WWE. I do think he's someone that's been pretty underrated from an overall perspective and has contributed a lot to WWE.

However, in my opinion, Kane should NOT win the Royal Rumble. He's a hard worker and one that's been relied on to do his absolute best even if what he's been given is a pile of shit to work with. However, frankly, there's no real money in Kane going after the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XXX. Being a hard worker and putting out quality work is something that's worthy of recognition in any profession. Kane's a two time World Champion, 1 time ECW Champion, 2 time Intercontinental Champion and a 12 time World Tag Team Champion. At 46 years of age, he's still in great shape and can deliver. However, in the grand scheme of things, the days in which Kane could have been main eventing WrestleManias for World Championships are long since over. If it comes down to money, and it always does because WWE is a business, then they're going to go with what they think will make them the most money. It's still a long ways off from the Royal Rumble so a lot can happen between now and then, but let's just say that things stay the same in terms of who the most popular guys are right now. Look at these potential WWE Championship matches and decide what you think would be the bigger draw. These are just random matches based on guys who have been getting a major response or who are currently getting a major response. Also, let's add Kane into the mix:

Randy Orton vs. Kane
Daniel Bryan vs. Kane
CM Punk vs. Kane
Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton
CM Punk vs. Randy Orton
Daniel Bryan vs. CM Punk
Rob Van Dam vs. Kane
Rob Van Dam vs. Randy Orton
Daniel Bryan vs. Rob Van Dam
CM Punk vs. Rob Van Dam
John Cena vs. Kane
John Cena vs. Rob Van Dam
John Cena vs. Randy Orton
John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan
John Cena vs. CM Punk
Sheamus vs. Kane
Sheamus vs. Randy Orton
Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan
Sheamus vs. RVD
Sheamus vs. CM Punk
Brock Lesnar vs. Sheamus
Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk
Brock Lesnar vs. RVD
Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan
Brock Lesnar vs. Kane

Those are many of the most over wrestlers on the WWE roster at the moment and when I look at any of those wrestlers facing Kane at the 30th anniversary of WrestleMania, I don't see dollar signs. If I had to guess, I think that Kane will make his return as a member of Bray Wyatt's "family".

Kane doesn't need to win the Rumble, he's already established himself as one of the best of all time. Let a young, up and coming guy win it. *cough cough Daniel Bryan*

Yeah, Hard to predict a path for him when he has near zero % chance of winning it. Going with D Bry in at #1 and going all the way.

I'm a HUGE Kane mark, but he doesn't need the Royal Rumble.

The best time for him to have won the Rumble was his face run in 03, or took a hiatus after his unmasking and returned and won it as a monster heel in 04 (but then we wouldn't have our Benoit moment)

WWE needs to find a new star, not "squeeze the sponge" so to speak.

Love Kane, but he'd be better off putting someone over at WrestleMania.

He might not win,BUT isn't he near HBK's record for most lifetime eliminations? or surpassed it?
He won't win it now. I couldn't see banking a Mania on him at this point, maybe a decade or so ago but not now

I don't see the draw in Kane winning the Royal Rumble.

Does anyone remember the last time Kane was World Heavyweight Champion, in 2010? The angle was fine, the execution was awful. Kane/Undertaker and Kane/Edge both delivered at far below a main event level, and Kane, not coincidentally, hasn't been pushed to the top since. He and Edge weren't trusted to have a good TLC match at TLC 2010, for goodness sakes, and it was made into a four-way with Mysterio and Del Rio.

And now, 3 years later, you'ld want an older, slower Kane to win the Royal Rumble and a main event spot at Wrestlemania?

Kane has done a lot of good for the company and is still an entertaining wrestler. He showed during his time with Daniel Bryan the ability to be comedic one minute and dead serious the next, something very few wrestlers in the business can pull off. He had some very solid tag team matches during the Team Hell No run, especially the six-man ones against the Shield.

But, for the life of me, I can't remember the last good one-on-one match Kane has had. Can anyone else? Perhaps Bryan at Summerslam 2012?

Kane is a solid veteran, and a reliable hand. He's a company guy, and I'm sure he understands well that at this point in his career, it's just simply not going to happen. Kane vs. Del Rio? Kane vs. Orton? Kane vs. Sandow? Granted, this is the same company that gave us Del Rio vs. Swagger for the WHC at Wrestlemania, but is there any money at all in Kane competing in a championship match at Wrestlemania?

Kanes "return" likely won't be at the Rumble. If we get any "big returns", it will be Cena and Sheamus. When Kane returns from time off, he more-then-likely will be a member of the Wyatt Family, based on the events from Summerslam.

And that seems, to me, a far more appropriate use of Kane than a Rumble win and a Mania headlining match.

I think Kane is very deserving of a Rumble win, but they should have pulled the trigger about 7-10 years ago. I just don't see, given the amount of talent they currently have, Kane main eventing WrestleMania. I would love to see Kane have his HOF career end in a match (HIAC, Inferno, Casket, or Buried Alive) against Taker. But I don't think Kane is a big enough draw right now to face the streak at Mania.

I'd mark out if he won. I'd mark out even more if he was the one who got to end Orton's title reign and got a proper reign with the "other" belt. Since that won't happen, (and it probably won't since Kane has the Jericho mentality of putting younger guys over. It's almost too much.) why not just have him break his previous record of eliminations in a single Rumble match? That probably won't happen either. Kane, more than pretty much anyone on the roster, deserves another World Title reign and I think it would be a nice move by WWE. Most of the top names of the Attitude Era have won a Rumble. Kane likely will be in the same club as Jericho and Angle. It would be pretty cool to see him get pushed and win the Rumble though.

Kane's days of being a contender are over. However, I can see them giving him a Rumble win just based on the fact he has never gotten one.

Kane winning the Rumble? I'm a huge fan of the guy and I think that's a horrible idea. From what I know of Glenn Jacobs I dare say he would agree. He is a very valuable performer. Reliable, respected, safe, entertaining. But Kane is not the man to sell Wrestlemania. He wasn't in his prime, he certainly is not in the twilight of his carreer.

But OK, let's say Darth Vader from planet Vulcan snuck into Vince McMahon's bedroom, put headphones on the man and threatened to melt Vince's brain with a Van Halen tape unless Kane won the Rumble.

I see this going only one of two routes.

Either Kane goes: "Screw the title! I want my brother!" This would have to lead to the match where the streak finally gets broken (otherwise what's the damn point??) and it would mark an excellent moment for both men to retire. ... (Lame.)

The other route needs Daniel Bryan to be champion. This makes sense because Team Hell No was such a big deal for such a long time and the two performers have excellent chemistry. We never got a satisfying pay-off when their partnership ended. Just some random RAW match. So now they finally have a huge feud to bring it all full circle at Wrestlemania. Obviously Bryan wins the match. And that's that. ...
Seems kinda ass-backwards, of course. If you really want Kane-Bryan at Wrestlemania for the title, any reasonable booker would have Kane be the champion and Bryan win the Rumble.

In the end, all you could do with Kane winning the Rumble is make the best out of a bad situation. Fortunately it's never going to happen.

Kane winning the Royal Rumble seems like a random choice to me. Then again, he has not won the event yet and he could challenge for the World Heavyweight Championship, I doubt they would have him close Wrestlemania so his title shot could give us a decent match somewhere else on the card. Just for goodness sake don't have him open the dang show. Kane does deserve one last run with the World Heavyweight Championship or even the WWE Championship. If Daniel Bryan is WWE Champion again by the Rumble they could have Kane win to challenge him, there's PLENTY of history between them to fuel a Wrestlemania angle. Bring up their time in Team Hell No and restart Bryan's desire to show he is not the weak link of that team. The only problem with that is Bryan would need the win more and I prefer to see Rumble winners succeed in their title shots. It could be a good angle if they go that route though.

Anything can happen between then and now, so I certainly won't rule Kane out as a possible winner. It just seems random though. Between how many guys they have further up the card than him and the potential for big returns from now until then, odds are rather good that somebody else will be winning the event. I would support the decision if it happens, as long as he doesn't open the show with his title shot. If Daniel Bryan holds either world title then that is who he should challenge, otherwise have him go for the World Heavyweight Championship. There's more than enough top guys to pick from when putting together a WWE Championship match at Wrestlemania.

i would've loved for Kane to win the rumble a good 7 years or more back, but today i dont think it would be a great story, especially for the WWE Championship. i am hoping for a CM Punk rumble win and if WWE is smart have the Rumble winner Punk take on either Cena or Bryan and if it's Cena, then i would tease it to be Bryan, but a Bryan and Punk WM match for the title would be a classic.

Are some people just ignoring the point of the main post? It's a hypothetical situation and most people aren't actually responding to the question. It's a simple "what if.." question.

For me personally I'd have Kane set up for a match against Taker at WrestleMania 30 if he were to win the Rumble, as I feel he's the only superstar on the roster that deserves to end the streak. He doesn't necessarily have to, but I like the idea of one final Taker-Kane match being built up from January all the way to Mania as their final showdown, with one final epic confrontation to conclude their rivalry and possibly their careers. Taker is the only guy that would make sense for Kane to face, as I don't think a match against Bryan is big enough for Mania. It could be, depending on Kane's persona. If Kane is in a WWE/World title match, he needs to revert back to his bad-add Big Red Machine monster persona. Cena is another possibility, but far less likely.

the royal rumble is s bit different now to win used to mean a shot at main eventing wrestlemania not just a title shot at mania now the winners match is anywhere on the card it doesnt really headline anymore.so why not give kane his moment? kane rules in rumble matchs apart from never winning one of course lol.kane is one of my faves he may not always get the loudest cheers but id say he is one of the most well known superstars and certainly deserves it.although having said that from what ive read he has been offered loads of world title runs rumble wins ect but has turned them down to put someone else over so its unlikely to happen id be very happy to see him win though

Kane is definitely deserving of a Rumble win and if 2014 is a good chance for Kane to win it, then I am all for it because Kane is as deserving as anyone when it comes to a Rumble win he has the all-time record for the most appearances in a Rumble and he hasn't won one, I mean seriously it is about time he does and not to mention he is close to HBK's record for all-time eliminations but Kane has never ever main evented WrestleMania and he definitely should especially if he is going to retire
