Ideas on what WWE will do with Kevin Owens this year

xTUGx

Dark Match Jobber
So, on Monday Night Raw, NXT Champion Kevin Owen made his first appearance on the main roster and laid the United States Champion and the face of the WWE on his back, a feat that has propelled him into a main spot of a PPV card despite still being part of the NXT roster which is unheard of.

So my idea is that Owens should be booked extremely strong, as he has longevity and he has the potential to be the next Brock Lesnar so when Lesnar calls it a day he can step up to the plate.

So firstly, I think Owens should begin his main roster run as the United States Champion and if he was to defeat John Cena in his debut on PPV then it would instantly elevate him into stardom.

However, in order for him to be able to win the US title and complete his transition onto the main roster, he must first lose the title he already has around his waist. My idea is that during the Zayn-Owens match at Takeover, towards the end have an angry looking John Cena walk out onto the stage and distract Owens and raise the US title. Then Zayn can steal the victory via a roll-up pin or something like that.

This means Owens has the flexibility of joining the main roster without the NXT championship, he still looks strong however it means when he beats Cena for the title it will shock majority of the members of the WWE Universe. Additional to this, it is also a means of increasing the already huge popularity of the NXT brand and allows WWE to properly connect the main roster with NXT, as for years it was simply the development ground for future WWE superstars however, with this simple move it would make NXT stand for more.

So after his win of the US title, he can have an run against Cena in which Cena gets screwed in every attempt at getting the title back until somebody intervenes and screws Cena consequently starting a rivalry with them (basically what they did with the Rollin-Ambrose rivalry by having Bray Wyatt get involved). This leave Owens free to start a new rivalry leading into Summerslam and I think the perfect opponent for him is Randy Orton.

After Owens defeats Orton he will be a main event calibre superstar. What would also be cool is if Owens was to align himself with the Authority, you could have another rivalry of oneupmanship between Rollins and Owens.

However, ultimately I think in order to solidify himself as a top star, he should be the winner of the Royal Rumble this year (I know it may be a bit early, but he is more than ready as he has been wrestling professionally for over 15 years so he is ready for his big break). Then, I think he should go up against a face Brock Lesnar (who will win the title off Rollins at Summerslam) at Wrestlemania 32.

I know some parts of this are slightly ridiculous but this is how I would like for it to play out. What ideas do you have for what WWE will do with Kevin Owens?

Well hopefully he'll drop the NXT title tomorrow night to Zayn, due to a Cena interference. You know payback for last night on RAW. Then they can move him up to the main roster.

I've changed my mind on him winning the chamber match. If he does drop the NXT title and moves up, then there is a good possibility he just might beat Cena for the US title. That would give him instant credibility, and Owens can do it. He's that good in the ring, we're not talking about a guy who doesn't know his way around.

They need good heels on the main roster, and an Owens addition I would welcome.

Well, I have read an article or two today that basically say that this is not his official main roster call up. So as far as his future, as Shawn Michaels once said, I don't know enough to know I don't know nothing about KO.

But his debut last night was pretty good. I was thinking, man I don't like this guy, but in the good way, in the heel way. This dude came out disrespected Cena and walked out on the US challenge. Despite criticism, we know Cena is the man, and KO didn't care. What a prick, a guy I could love to hate.

The one critique I have is how he told Cena he had been in the business longer than him, but as we know, he couldn't hold a candle to Cena's accomplishments. Wish he hadn't pointed that out when he was doing his promo.

I don't see this as a full time call up. Personally I think he will retain over Sami somehow tomorrow. I think Sami will win but KO retains the title. Then at Elimination Chamber Sami can somehow screw KO making him lose. This keeps the title on Cena which I think they are going to do for quite some time. They created the guy a shirt with the US title on it. The title isn't going anywhere for alteast a couple months. It keeps KO strong because he can say he didn't lose cleanly. THen Sami and KO have their third and final rubber match where Sami wins the title off of him. KO is ready made for the main roster. Sami will need the proper angle to pull him in.

Well on RAW we saw Kevin Owens holding up both the NXT Title and the US Title, and I think that's a sign of things to come. Owens should retain against Sami Zayn in fairly decisive fashion and eventually be the one to beat John Cena for the US Title when he officially joins the main roster. They brought Owens into NXT as a big deal, they should do the same when he comes to the WWE. Make him the first man to ever hold the NXT Championship while holding a Championship in the WWE at the same time.

After what would be a great feud with Cena, I can see Zayn coming up to the main roster and feuding with Owens heading into WrestleMania 32. At WrestleMania, Zayn catches Owens with a rollup and gets the upset win for the US Championship. After the match Owens powerbombs the fuck out of Zayn, so even though Zayn wins the Title Owens is the one that walks out. This would set the stage for a big rematch between the two at a future PPV. Having Owens vs. Cena, and then Owens vs. Zayn would be two solid rivalries back-to-back and would help Owens a lot.

I think they'll have him in the mid card for a while. They really need a fresh face like him in the mid card. There's only so many combinations you can do with Cena. I can see him capturing the US title and go on to having a lengthy reign. Maybe he'll be in the main event picture in 2017.

Yeah, it was an exciting moment watching Kevin Owens debut on Monday Night Raw confronting John Cena. But given the history the WWE got with their new talent getting buried more times than I could possibly count, I lost complete faith in the system. There's no chance in hell that Kevin Owens will beat John Cena fair and square in the Elimination Chamber PPV. Even if that does happen, it most likely won't be a clean win. They only gave that privilege to Brock Lesnar. They had a great chance with Bray Wyatt as this fresh monster heel last year but his credibility got ruined thanks to the WWE. Kevin Owens is next in line in WWE's long list of buried new talent. No high hopes for this. The WWE fucks everything thing up as usual.

Kevin Owens needs to drop the nxt title this Wednesday and beat Cena for the U.S. title in a few months

This post took the words right out of my mouth - They should allow Owens to carry both titles as away of showing his dominance & actually allow somebody from NXT to WIN clean & look as if they belong in the top tier of WWE talent - BUT as far as what they will do with him the remainder of the year......only God & HHH know because what would make sense never occurs inside the "universe"

I was with you until you said he should win the rumble and main event wrestlemania next year lmaoooooooo. Jumped totally out the window on that one. I agree Zayn should win the title tonight but I don't think Cena should involved. I feel like screwing somebody out of their championship is such a heelish thing to do. I think Zayn needs to serve Owens a cold dish of revenge though. What they could do is have something similar to the first match happen where maybe Owens is the one that accidentally hits his head on something then Zayn hits the helluva kick and wins. Then the announcers can bring up how Owens got messed up a few weeks prior during the Cena match. Everything from Owens winning the us title to feuding with Orton to joining the Authority I agree with but lets hold off on the main eventing wrestlemania thing. Maybe at Mania you can have break away from the Authority and wrestle one of them or maybe the authority with Owens strikes up a new feud or rekindle an old one say with...Daniel Bryan? If he ever returns. Owens vs Bryan for the US title at Mania is something I would really look forward to seeing

Well now we know Owens "retains" as Samoa Joe debuted to go face to face with KO and stop him from completely decimating Zayn. I see Zayn taking time off tv and possibly getting ready for a tiny gimmick change/attitude for a call up in about a month(maybe suprise MITB entrant). This will lead to THE feud in NXT between Owens/SJoe but they wont have a match too soon as Balor is the new #1 contender.

I see Owens(c) vs Balor in a couple weeks on a normal NXT show where Samoa Joe comes out and tries to help Owens from retaining. This will lead to a DQ and Balor will not be happy. At the next Takeover we will get a triple threat title match where Balor will pull out the win due to Owens and Joe completely decimating eachother.

Joe and Owens will have one more blow off match the next Wednesday and Owens will get himself DQd and then walk out saying he's done with the minor leagues and wants a bigger challenge.

After a few weeks of not seeing KO on any show he will be a suprise entrant in the Royal Rumble. Owens eliminate 5-6 competitors and end up in the final 3 with Ambrose and Wyatt. He ends up tossing Bray over the top rope and while hes watching Wyatt fall to the floor Dean runs at him. Owens ducks and Dean flies over the top rope, but only one foot touched the floor. KO thinks he won and is celebrating on the 2nd rope of the turnbuckle as Ambrose rushes back into the ring and tosses Owens out to the floor giving Dean the win.

The next night on RAW KO barges into the Authorities looker room and screams at Triple H and demanding a one on one match with Ambrose to decide the real winner of the Rumble because he believes he was screwed. Hunter denies his request and its not received well by Kevin so Kevin gets physical with HHH. Hes told if he ever puts his hands on his boss like that again he's fired.

Week after week Kevin Owens bad mouths The Authority, especially HHH. One night on RAW Stephanie comes out to the ring to give KO his final warning. Hes told he will be in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal but he refuses. He gets in Stephanie's face and tells her if he doesnt get his title shot then the McMahon-Helmsley family is in serious trouble.

HHH runs down to the ring and tells Owens he has on more shot to leave the ring but right before he does he goes to punch Hunter but he ducks and the ballled up fist hits Steph right in the mouth, knocking her out cold. Just as fast as KO hit Stephanie, he runs out of the ring as a heel would.

Hunter grabs a mic as hes tending to Stephanie and screams out, "If you want a match at Wrestlemania, Ill give you a match against......ME!!!! You wont get away with this you bastard!"

Owens continues to torment the McMahon-Helmsley family by manipulating Vince into to thinking his son in law put his daughter in danger by having her in the ring with two intense men. Mr. McMahon takes HHH's power away and leaves him only with a Superstar paycheck. Owens also shows up at Steph's hospital bed and frightens the living hell out of her. This change in story makes HHH a face by default as they lead up to their WM32 match.

THE MATCH- Kevin Owens defeats Triple H in a Falls Count Anywhere match.

HHH does bury people but apparently hes a HUGE fan of Kevin Owens and knows a big win at Wrestlemania will jump-start his future HOF career. This will lead to Owens being the dominant heel on the roster even when Brock is around, seeing as he could be a face when he returns(or tweener). Owens will win his first WWE WHC at Summerslam after cashing in MITB on someone like Ambrose, Reigns, D.Bryan, or even Balor or Zayn.

Sorry for the long post but i wanted to be as detailed as possible and put more thought into a storyline than WWE's creative does
