I understand putting over young talent...

But this is ridiculous here. Kane's legacy has been diminishing for years now, and they just continue to feed him to person after person. Does his name still hold any value?

I really wish they'd at least build him back up as a mid-card contender. A former 3.5-time World Champion (ECW included) and a multi-time IC and Tag Team champion doesn't deserve to be degraded like this. There's a difference between a put over and jobbing out. Kane has become the latter.

Why should they build him up when there is younger talent who will be around longer that could occupy that spot?

Kane's a legend but he's right where he needs to be.

The problem is that 2014 Kane should be here or retired. Look to the past 12 years or so to see his actual mis-handlement that makes his current status look worse

Yeah, and let's not forget the fact we're talking about Kane. Kane was never as good as people want to pretend he was. Kane has been a career uppder midcarder and in the twilight of his career, he should be putting over the next run of wrestlers.

And, let's face it...it's Kane. And Kane just isn't that good.

I agree that he should be, but eventually it's going to become less effective if he's always losing. Give him a few lower PPV wins, or even a few wins on Raw or Smackdown so that he has momentum over the face of choice. If Big Show can get pointless wins out of nowhere, surely Kane could be allowed to win one or two matches on Raw or Smackdown.

I think it has something to do with Kane still wanting to go and WWE having really nothing for him. They can't push him to the WWE title, I'm sure they don't want to have him in a mid-card role, and at the same time they don't want to disrespect him by having him job to lesser stars... so that leaves jobber to the main eventers. Which is fine. It's where he fits and deserves to be imo.

Kane's character was dragged through the mud far too often. You don't go from super serious to goofy, then back, switch another dozen times and be credible enough to dominate the next generation. Plus, he's never a great singles match in a 20 year run. End his career at Mania and call it a day.

He's managed to remain passably relevant for 20 years - you can count the guys who've pulled that off in the national television era on the fingers of one hand. The pretence that he's not good at his job is mind blowing.

Kane's been in the business for longer than I've been alive. The great thing about the guy is that the WWE can shuffle him around and fit him anywhere they need him. Need a monster heel? Check. Need your guy you want to push a tag team partner? Check. Big bad enforcer for a stable? Check.

His versatility while remaining the same has kept him in the game. His legacy and his name will be fine when it is all said and done.

Kane buried Adam Rose!!!!

Kane is fine. He has lost a lot of steam but he still has a name, size, and character. I think Ziggler beating him on Raw did wonders for Ziggler's credibility.

But most importantly for Vince, he will squash any talk of unionization in the locker room.
