Hard Hit Prince

Not really working as a
We won't probably ever going to get a Shield vs. Evolution match up. I don't know why, but I always thought this could be a dream match that the WWE could really get into and after last night's first tease of break-up I feel really sad. I still think that The Shield is so good that they should just be together for a lot more time.

Was I the only one that wanted to see that feud/match up happen?

Why wouldn't someone want to watch Batista, Triple H and Randy Orton against The Shield? That's beyond me... but I see, nobody really thought of that.

I don't like your comparision.
Evolution had a premise, a purpose and good promos
Shield had no premise, no purpose other than winning titles and horrible promos

Batista is going to be in a Marvel film which will likely make hundereds of millions of dollars and people still think he's going to return to wrestling?

The Rock had to become a film superstar before he even considered it.

I'll believe it when I see it. HHH was in Blade 2...what happened to that glorious acting career? Goldberg was in Ultimate solider....he ended up hosting that awful race show.

Having an insignificant role in a franchise killer like Blade Trinity and a supporting role in a 7 years too late Universal Solider sequel aren't the same as playing a cool character in what will be a huge film. He's going to get plenty of offeres after Guardians Of The Galaxy comes out. He can coast off that role for years.

pure speculation but that Galaxy movie has flop written all over it. Was the Blade movie not successful? I was under the impression that the Blade movie did well enough.

Financially I think Blade 3 did ok. Nothing special. Think of it like Batman & Robin, so shit that even if it had made lost of money they'd have been tto scared to make another.

I'd love Galaxy to flop, but it ain't gonna. That flickering Marvel logo at the beginning of the first trailer means it'll make its money back.

Hadn't thought of it and don't see the comparison, apart from the three man thing. Plus , both groups thrived as heels. It would've been a nice match though.

I will be sad when the Shield break up though, depending on what they do with them.

I don't think they need to return with the same original idea for the group - only show three big stars, three big names that matured into three future hall of famers. The Shield was always saying that it was their yard and they were cutting promos about old timers needing to give them the spotlight to show that they are better than they've ever been (it was just for Christian okay, but it could have worked)

I think it's way too soon to break them up. They can still be a group and have different rivalries. The Shield was probably the most important thing for the WWE, not in terms of money or whatever like Cena, Lesnar, Rock, etc.. but as far as being great performers that improved vastly the product. I think that Daniel Bryan's push was due to DB's work with the guys from The Shield.

Bumped in honor of Silverback.

HHH is clearly hanging on your every word.
