I Love Torrents...

Without them, I wouldn't be able to watch French films and obscure movies that haven't been released on American DVD. I'll probably stop downloading so many of them though when I can once more actually afford to buy imported DVDs...never mind, scrap that, those DVDs don't have English subs. I'm sticking with the torrents. If any of the filmmakers want some money, I'll throw $25 their way if they ask nicely.

Torrents are indeed amazing. What download client do you use for them?

Currently downloading an ROH show as well as Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. Good stuff.

I just use Vuze. I used to do everything through eMule, but, there's hardly anyone on there anymore, or so it seems. I just downloaded Gerald Kargl's Angst; I hear it's effin' amazing, and I can't wait to see it.

How is Vuze? I've heard some great things about it. It's only for videos though isn't it?

I use Utorrent when I want to download movies and games. Maybe I should give Vuze a try and see if it's better than Utorrent.

It's used to be Azureus...I like it, but I just use it strictly for videos. I did try to use it once for a song, but it couldn't come up with anything besides full albums. So, I just stick with eMule for music.

Don't want to get a BANT for talking 'bout bit torrents so I'll be brief, but I've used Vuze (formerly Azureus) for close to 6 years and it's much more than just video DL's. It handles any .torrent file. I've used it for comics, music, tablature, software, e-books, reference journals, audio books, older video games, movies, DVD's etc. Only possible downside is that it's a java based client so it has the potential to slow down your computer if you don't know how to set it properly or if you just have a slower machine.

Also depending on how the full album is packed (zip/rar no, individual files yes) you can get individual songs and not the whole album or discography. That said I have a few external hard drives full of music, so I see no reason to get the songs a la carte when you can get a full album, compilation, or discography.
