Why is this such a big deal? Jake stopped being of any significance when he stepped down as Admin. Since then, he's essentially done nothing, except stir up some shit here and there and scoff at the staff. He's had several warnings and infractions since stepping down. He acted like he was above everyone else, and the rules didn't apply to him. Had he been a mod, he would have had his powers stripped. Had he never been a non-regular member, he would have been banned weeks and weeks ago. The fact that people register any sort of shock over this rather puzzles me. This wasn't a matter of if, it was a matter of when. And thankfully Sam made the decision to put his personal liking for Jake aside to it, and to do it sooner rather later.

It's a big deal because he did more for this forum than most people ever will. People obviously liked him, myself included.
