Thank you for saying this. I hate him too. So what if he is a living legend, so is Hogan and I hate that guy. RVD used to be very good, but since he came back from his huge injury I can't bear his matches. He is so slow, and does not sell moves very well (giving them or taking them.) He is just not as good as he was, and I hate watching his matches. He is the most overrated wrestler in the smark community.

You are perfectly describing ALL of the ecw originals. They are all 1/2 the men they used to be and don't belong in big time matches anymore... They bore me to death. I do like some of their foes though. The elijah experience is getting better and better and I always liked monty brown. Matt Striker needs to get back to wrestling like he did as a face. Kevin Thorn is garbage, will never amount to anything...

Sean, in the WWE Matt Striker has never been a face unless you count those times when he was facing Kurt Angle in the Invitational. Kevin Thorne can wrestle it is just that he has to wrestle the WWE heel style, so if you say that you haven't watched that much wrestling, Kevin Thorne has a problem in that he is stuck with crap gimmicks by the WWE, He was Mordecai(sp?) a few years ago on Smackdown. So it is just a matter of how his gimmick works that people are judging him and not on the Wrestling.

Kevin Thorn can wrestle? Lmao!! You idiot!!! How well did he wrestle as "mordecai" you moron? He ha snever wrestlled well as any character I have seen. And yes matt striker was a face when he first broke in. The crowds loved hgim you fool... And it was because he was a clean cut, former school teacher that on the mat took many of the heels to school, even when he jobbed to them... I think it is YOU who doesn't watch this tsuff enough before you throw in comments with absolutely no validity or sense whatsoever...

To face a Jobber a face does not make. When he started with the Teacher gimmick automatic Heel and then he actually faced already established guys on the Roster. You can't tell how well a guy can Wrestle based on the gimmick. look at what he is supposed to use in terms of moveset, he is being restricted by both of his gimmicks, Look at when he first came into ECW anyway to see what he can do in a 1-on-1 match up.

Actually, Thorn is fundamentally sound in the ring. He needs to up the excitement factor of his spot selection deeper into the contests, but he's got more tools than three of the WWE's top guys I can name right now. The problem has nothing to do with Thorn's ability in the ring. It has to do with the cartoony gimmick he's going to be conjoined to throughout WWECW's existence because it was a prerequisite to get and keep them on SCI-FI. None of the mark masses liked Striker in the WWE...even upon his debut. His gimmick went over like a fart in church...in other words: They hated him. He pissed off the crowds instantly because anything revolving around someone articulate and intelligent irritates the standard WWE masses. The same style of gimmick was done before and always works like a charm to irritate the fans the nanosecond the talent talks down to them. Once by Lanny Poffo and once by Shane Douglas.

And back to the main topic...RVD kicks ass (but usually not in the WWE).

RVD is a good, athletic wrestler but isn't really good with storylines like Shelton Benjamin and Gregory Helms. I think that his unique moves were the one of the main reasons for his popularity at the start but as time goes on his moves are getting old.

RVD has worked great programs with Sabu, Jerry Lynn and even the Big Show in the past. I can't remember one storyline that Shelton Benjamin has worked successfully. Benjamin is a tremendous wrestler but he cannot sell a storyline to save his life, which is unfortunate because he is so talented. I agree with you that RVD's unique moves play a huge part in his popularity, but I don't feel that his moves are getting old. He is only allowed to use a small fraction of his moves in his current position, which in my opinion, is what makes WWE wrestling in general less exciting.

hey sean listen dude you must be fucking stupid the ECW originals are made made your new breed because without them putting in all that work for all those years ago, your elijha experience( no dis to elija he is coo in my book) would be the elijajobbing on raw experience ok bitch

You have some good points rvdgurl but his whole persona is getting old, not due to him but because wwe because they kept on putting him in crappy storylines or making him the intercontinental champion so many times a can hardly count. I hope he goes to tna so they can get him doing some new material and in new storylines

You're absolutely correct. The characters that were developed and were successful in the real ECW worked for a reason. McMahon just does not seem to grasp that concept. I am also excited about the prospect of watching RVD in TNA so he can dive into some fresh storylines and will be able to utilize all his moves.

Im just hoping that wwe fire him soon so that he can hurry up and go to tna when you can watch him in matches with the likes of aj styles and chris daniels. Cant wait :)

wow never thought somebody would post this question. I don't need to say anything because everybody else has pretty much said it. RVD is one of the greatest wrestlers to step in a ring. How I want some of that your smokin on daddy
