I HATE playing on Xbox Live

Last night, about 1am, I decided to play some SvR 2010 on xbox live. My guy is pretty tough, but, I couldn't do anything to anyone. This is the 2nd time I've tried playing on Live and there was SO MUCH lag that it made it no fun. I got on to relax and ended up being more frustrated before I started playing. I know there's not a lot of people on at that time, but that should mean less lag for the few that are on.

Anyone else experiencing the same issues?

Yeah, I have online but I can never get a full game in without it lagging horribly. I was playing MLB 2K10 a few weeks ago online and each time a pitch came to me and I tried to swing, the batter swung late every single time. I couldn't take it anymore and really haven't even bothered trying to play online anymore. I'd rather play my games offline with my friends and have some enjoyment instead of getting pissed because of the terrible lag.

From my experience, I've only been lagging on sports games. It's not Live's fault, but the game's. I don't lag on Halo or CoD but only on sports games.

Exactly what I was going to say. It's not Microsoft's fault, it's the game developers, and it's mostly the sports and wrestling games that are laggy. I don't get any lag on COD or Guitar Hero.

But Madden's not laggy either, for some strange reason.

That is the game SVR 2010 has like a 2 second lag play any other game and it will be fine. Trust me. Hopefully they fix the horrible lag in the next game.

In my experience, it has only ever been with SVR 2010. Other games might catch some lag here and there, but it's not very often so it's no big deal.
But this is one of the most complained about things with SVR, as it makes simples matches even almost unplayable. They evidently had not expected this to happen, but an interview with Bryan Williams of THQ does confirm that they listened to the fans and made changes. Apparently 6-man HIAC matches even can now be played with no lag. Time will tell if this is still the case when thousands of SVR 2011 users are playing on Live at the same time.

Yeah I heard about svr 2011 improving on this. Don't blame xbox live for THQ's mistake. It was THQ's fault SVR lagged a bit. However 2011 they hopefully have lived up to what they said and made it lag free. (or almost there).

Yeah it defently is not Xbox Live.

Halo, Red Dead Revolver, and many other games have worked fine but Left 4 Dead 2 has been unplayable for for me....which EA is apparently the host of the game, which also does most of the sports.

So maybe it's EA?

As long as they fix it in the next one, I'll be happy.......guess we'll just have to wait and see. These games could be MUCH more popular if they just fixed the lag issues with them.

I thought all SvR games lagged. Sometimes it's by milliseconds and other times it's by three seconds -- snd any other time in between.

And it affects PS3's too.

It's hard to imagine how they could NOT get this to work right (without lag) because if you don't hit your moves spot on, you get hit and pinned and the game is over right away. It's a BIG part of the gameplay.

No it is the game developers fault, because most of my games do not lag one bit. But i dont know sport games tend to drag on a fair bit. EA is a notorious title in my collection of games with this problem.

The times I do decide to go on Live on SvR 2010 I usually play in Tag Matches so the lag doesn't bother me as much and I played one Singles match and it was this two friends that I think they hacked their games cause their finisher didn't go away and somehow I faced a diva with my superstar. 30% of the time I grappled the diva they would slap me and I would back of and their friends was their manager and it was No DQ and I didn't now so they just beat me up in the ring for like 20 minutes while I made small occasional comebacks but it annoyed me as hell. Very cheap by the people.

Every SvR game has lagged on Xbox Live. They said on a review for SvR2011 that when you play online it feels just like your playing offline. Only time will tell though.
