How would you book Christian's return?

The Wolf

Pre-Show Stalwart
We all heard the Christian is off tv till after BFG & we saw him for a couple of seconds on RAW to see he was in a sling.

So how would you book his return to tv full time is the question.

I say he should return shortly after BFG (October 14) have Sheamus getting attacked by ADR, Otunga & Ricardo & then we all of a sudden hear his music hit he runs down to save Sheamus. After the ring is cleared have him grab the mic & finish saying what he was trying to say when they cut him off. I believe he should mention that no one has been put on the shelf due to the Brogue Kick but ADR's Arm breaker is a different story. Then have him hit by the Brogue Kick as the show goes off the air setting up a triple threat (atleast) for the next PPV

I will agree with some of this but not all. First off, you're talking about waiting until 9 days (since this would likely be on Smackdown) to set up the WHC Title match to a PPV that's over 5 weeks away. That alone doesn't help your scenario. I do agree that ADR working a program with Christian is a good idea though, as well as using your idea about the arm breaker taking people out.

Here's how I'd see it: sometime in the next 2 weeks we get the challenger for Sheamus' title at HAIC. It's not ADR but he keeps bitching and moaning (it's my destiny :banghead:) about how it should be him. Then when Christian comes back it basically plays out how you said it, minus the Brogue Kick to Christian. This leads to Christian vs. ADR at HIAC. ADR does not need to be anywhere near a main event title for a long time now. This is his first step away.

While I would like to see Christian return as a heel and face Sheamus for the belt, i feel Sheamus vs ADR has run it's course and you'll be seeing people like Big Show, Wade Barrett, and Randy Orton facing Sheamus for the belt before Christian. It's likely that Christian will return and feud with Antonio Cesaro helping to put over Cesaro while making the US belt look semi credible again.

Like the above poster said, rumor has it he'll be feuding with Antonio Cesaro. I think thats a far better idea than feuding at the top as soon as he returns.

Christian has been out of the picture for a while. What does that mean for the WWE Universe. They're gonna give him a big pop when he returns. Its better to capitalize on the big face reaction and have Christian take on Cesaro.

Cesaro isn't quite over with the fans yet. I think he's got potential to be a guy thrown into MITB or Elimination Chamber matches. How do you convince the fans that he's even close to a relevant threat? Have him beat a former World Champion.

Christian is the perfect guy. Fans mostly like Christian. They respect what he's done and for how long hes done it. But at the same time, they know he's not unbeatable in the mid-card.

Other than you know Jamie Noble who's career was ended due to the move (kayfabe). I can't believe that this was never brought up during this whole angle, I mean if you wanted the move banned this would be perfect evidence as to why it should be.
I have heard that Christian will be returning to face Cesaro and this does seem like a good idea. Christian has the ability to move between mid card and main event with relative ease and be believable in winning and losing in both. Honestly I would prefer to see Del Rio stay away from the title for the next little while and have a new challenger, but that is probably not going to happen at all.

WWE definetely will not handle Christian correctly going forward. They have screwed up each opportunity and squandered each chance to make him a top star. Quite honestly, I'm not a fan of Antonio Cesaro and I think that having Christian feuding with him for the US Title is a very bad move. I would much rather see Christian slowly revealing his manipulative heelish nature week by week, leading to a match with Sheamus or whomever is the World Champion when he returns. The seeds for that storyline were kind of already planted with him being shown with Otunga and Del Rio claiming the Brogue Kick was the cause of his problems. That should be explored at length with Christian claiming Sheamus was to blame for him missing time and not becoming champion.

We all know that won't happen and Christian will most likely be lost in the shuffle of the mid-card.

It was actually the powerbomb he delivered to him that injured his back and had to make him retire.(kayfabe of course) So it really wouldn't have fitted into the storyline.

Honestly I would love to see Christian come back and just brutally attack Sheamus with weapons of some kind and set him up perfectly for Dolph to cash in MiTB and then when Sheamus gets his rematch Christian screws him again. This would get Sheamus away from the world title, give Dolph and chance to run with it without making Sheamus look weak, since WWE can't seem to allow a face to be human, and then set up what could be a very personal blood fued between Sheamus and Christian at Wrestlemania possibly in a no DQ match of some kind.

What I would want at least but probably will never happen.

I thought it was the Brogue kick that he hit him in the ring as the match was ended pretty much straight after that. I know he powerbombed him after that outside the ring but I thought the Brogue kick is what caused the problem.

u dont game set match the only thing i see for him is some type of commentator role or a manager of some type with his injuries he could get hurt yet again and that may put him out of commision

I don't see Christian being thrust into the main event as and when he returns. He is entertaining, but he has never been a big draw.

I would prefer if they have him return as a surprise. Just have a young heel (like Sandow or Cesaro) beat down a face, Christian's music hits and he saves the guy and enters into a feud where he can put the young guy over. Similar to Mysterio's recent return (I would LOVE to see a feud between these two :icon_biggrin:).
